2CFI COMPANY PROFILE

COMPUTER FRONTIERS INTERNATIONAL LTD (CFI–Uganda or simply Computer

Frontiers) was incorporated June 2000 in Uganda as a limited liability company, and has
affiliate companies in Frederick – Maryland USA, Accra - GHANA, Dakar - SENEGAL and
Pretoria - SOUTH AFRICA.
In August 2001, CFI merged with Uganda Online (UOL), a then leading solution provider for
Internet solutions in Uganda and subsequently expanded its staff numbers and expertise,
and as a result was able to expand its product offerings. UOL had since 1997 provided IT
support to end-users, businesses and corporate clients in the East African sub region and
beyond. Most of UOL’s clients were typically those seeking infrastructure deployment that
would require extensive site surveys, needs assessments and design of connectivity
solutions often in situations such as remote and isolated locations far off the “grid” of
electrical power and Uganda’s Internet backbone.
CFI-Uganda with our affiliates have over 10 years of cumulative experience in the provision
of a broad range of IT services, solutions and products that cut across a broad range of
issues such as IT Infrastructure, Software Applications Development, Collaborative Project
Management, and IT Support & Maintenance.
Whereas our largest client base is in Uganda, we have a significant portfolio of clients in
several African countries as well as Europe and the United States. We are extremely proud
of this record of performance, and the resulting expertise and access to the latest and most
advanced data networking technology that we are able to offer our clients.
CFI-Uganda today offers a full complement of information technology products and services
that include scalable and robust data network strategy planning, deployment and
management, voice/data integration with various vendor products, e-commerce and e-
government solutions, a technical computer support Help Desk and Call Center, and
information management tools built on web enabled database systems. Provided below are
selected highlights of our core capabilities in information technology, networking and project
management services.
