IMO Marpol Annex VI 0.5% global sulphur fuel content from 1st January 2020, lowering the previous 3.5% limit, which has
been in effect since 1st January 2012.The limit will remain at 0.10% in the internationally designated Emission Control Areas
(ECAs.) .
Requirements/Preconditions
The Master and the Chief Engineers responsible to ensure sure that the guidelines and procedures provided in HSEMS
10.0.06:" Procedures For Compilance with 2020 Global Sulphur Cap" in practice and the all the engineering staffs are
familarized.
