D. Process Skills Observing, Identifying and Communicating.
E. Values Integration Cooperation
F. Integration of “Teacher may modify the lesson plan if integration of other learning areas
other Learning becomes necessary.”
Areas
III. Learning Tasks
A. Engage A. Preparation before class start:
1. Ask students to go to their group wherein the class will be divided
into six groups.
2. Attendance checking per group
3. Inform students about their incentive chart
4. Reminds the each member of the group members about their task.
2
Aviary ,Pasonanca Park Jardin Maria Clara, Pasonanca
Standard: The first group to finish will receive points. Reminds the
each member of the group members to cooperate and do the task with
minimal noise.
3
- After guessing the scrambled words teacher will ask the students
what they know about the term.
Setting of Standard
1. Follow instructions
2. Collaborate with the group /team
3. Work with the group harmoniously
4. Share ideas
5. Work within the given timeframe
4
LSC 2 Write Me a Poem..
The student will be asked to make a yell or cheer or poem or pick-
up lines or “hugot” lines that describe the parts of the plant.
Materials: Paper and Marker
LSC 3 Do you know the function of? The parts of plant? The parts of
plant?
The student will be listening to song. Additional points will be given to
the group who will also sing the song. After singing the song, students will
be asked to match the picture of the plant parts to the statement which
explains the function of the parts. Students will be asked to paste their
output on a sheet of paper.
Materials : Bond paper, paste, cut outs, music
Guide Questions:
LSC 1:
1. What are the parts of the plant?
(Leaf, stem, roots and flower)
LSC 2:
2. Describe the parts of plant
5
(Roots grow deep the soil. Stem connects roots, leaf and flower.
Leaf is color green and flat. Flower is colorful)
LSC 3
3. Explain the different plant organ (plant parts)
Roots - the structure that grow deeply into the soil that acquire
nutrients through absorption. Its anchorage the plant to the soil.
Stem- the structure responsible in transporting water nutrients
from the roots to leaves and vice versa.
Leaf - a usually flat, green, plant structure used in photosynthesis
and transpiration (breathing)
Flower - the showy, usually colorful part of a plant that is used for
producing and receiving pollen.
LSC 4
4. How do plants make their own food?
(Plants capture the sun’s energy and convert it into food.)
5. What are the parts of plants involved in the food making process?
(Leaves, sometimes the stem.)
6. What do you call the process which plant makes their food?
(Photosynthesis)
LSC 5
7. How do you describe the internal structure of the leave?
(The internal structure of the leaf are composed of two mesophyll
layers, palisade and spongy mesophyll , with vascular bundle
(xylem and phloem )
8. Which layer of the leaf has the most number of chloroplast? Why?
Palisade Mesophyll, due to its location just below the epidermis
LSC 6
9. Describe a chloroplast.
(Chloroplast is a double membrane organelle that contained the
disk-shaped structure called thylakoid where the chloroplast
pigment is found in its membrane.Stack s or piles of thylakoids are
commonly called grana (granum).Grana (granum) are embedded in
a gel called the stroma.)
Post Activity Question:
How were you able to finish the task in the given time frame?
How do you find the activity?
- Teacher will take down notes while the students are presenting to
address important points and misconception (if there is any).
6
The different groups will present their outputs/ result of their activity.
Setting of Standards:
1. Employ the One Mouth Rule
2. 3-5 minutes presentation
3. Follow Rubric for scoring

Processing Questions
1. What organ of plant is involved in the food making process?
(Leaf / leaves)
2. How does the internal structure of leaf looks like?
(The internal structure of the leaf are composed of two mesophyll
layers, palisade and spongy mesophyll , with vascular bundle
(xylem and phloem )
