Melalui model pembelajaran discovery learning peserta didik dapat merangkum pesan moral lirik lagu dengan
percaya diri terkait kehidupan remaja dengan fungsi social, unsur kebahasaan dengan nilai minimal KKM 70.
C. Materi Pembelajaran

Songs are aimed at entertaining the listeners. However, they are also the
artists’ medium for expressing their feelings. Sometimes moral values are
hidden in the lyrics.
SOSIAL FUNCTION OF SONGS
The social functions of song are:
a. To entertain the listeners.
b. To teach moral value through the lyrics of the songs.
c. To provide a way of managing the relationship between our
public and private emotional life.
d. To express personal feeling and cultural values.
e. To give someone to not only shares their emotions with others,
but also to have an emotional connection that just can’t be
experienced in any other way.

The language features of a song are as follows.

1. Imagery is used to describe feelings and emotions, e.g. ‘When people


can be so cold’.
2. Rhythm is used to create the mood of the song.
3. Denotation and Connotation == Denotative is the real or the literal
(dictionary definition). Connotation is the hidden meaning.

The structure of a song:


1. Verse is the main part of a song that tells a story.
2. Refrain/chorus is a part of the song that is repeated. The rhythm of
this part is distinct from the verse.
3. Coda is a line that closes a song.
The topic of our song is an inspiring rolemodel.
