 Pre Contract Management

 Tender, negotiate and finalize wide variety of contracts (operations, engineering, maintenance,
subsurface ) The responsibilitie includes preparation of procurement strategies, tender
documents, tender bulletins, tender clarifications, technical & commercial evaluation, award
recommendation, letter of intent/award, contract preparation. Review scope of work/service for
accuracy and completeness. Analyze tenders/contracts and conferred with various stakeholders
to resolve ambiguities, inaccuracies, essential elements and possible conflicts with general
conditions and legal prohibitions. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures and
delegation of authority for various approvals. Formulate tendering and contracting activities
including comprehensive engineering, technical and commercial review of scope of work
received from various business units to evaluate any potential risks to the Company.

 Post Contract Administration:


 Review and evaluate changes and claims for validity. Advise appropriate strategy for resolution
of disputes and claims. Liaise with relevant departments for assessment of changes and claims
with relevant substantiations. Perform and organize claim assessment by applying best-practice
processes, tools and techniques in accordance with contract provisions and relevant
procedures. Evaluate value engineering proposals, ensure cost control and review EOT
analysis. Maintain log register for changes, claims and agreed variations. Visit site as and when
required to monitor progress and to envisage contractual problems/issues. Attend progress
meetings and provide updates to management. Review and agree payments
applications/valuations so that payment is certified in accordance with the terms of the contract
conditions; Ensure payment certificate allowed actual progress/earned value, variations/change
orders, material on-site/off-site, fluctuations, special payments etc. in accordance with contract.
Prepare Final Accounts/Closeout Statement with full substantiation and documents as per
contract. Advise most appropriate contractual approach to address contractor’s poor
performance or other critical situations, such as confiscation of performance bond, suspension
of contract, termination of contract etc. Conduct contract cost analysis and monitor savings to
support Company cost initiatives.
