OFUN-IKA

1. Ifa says that you are going to be protected against all evil
principalities such as death, affliction, contention, loss etc. ifa says
that as is bossom child you will not be allowed to face all this
problems. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with plenty of plaintains, three
roosters, and money. You are also advised to feed Ifa with plenty of
plantains and to feed the Elders of the Night with another set of
plantains. On this, Ifa says:

Translation
Arurumarun is the awo of arurumarun
Arurumaru is the awo of arurumarun
Babalawo be careful with your consultations
For you not to reveal a delicate Odu
And farmer be careful
For you not to cultivate an infertile land
When you arrive at Iko Awusi
Kneel down with your right knee
And greet Ofun
Ofun will give you many Ire of life
When you arrive at Idoro Mawuse
Kneel down with your left knee
And greet Ogbe
And Ogbe will give you his maximum support
If we are not wicked
We cannot listen to wicked advice

2. Ifa says that you are someone who had been created to succeed but
at the same time to make certain grievous errors that may tarnish
your image and destroy all your achievements in life. No amount of

Only a deceitful Orisa devotee will claim that he has no rival
And will be dangling his white cloth about
Ifa’s message for Asise, Misconduct
The elder sibling of all Orisa

No Orisa makes life unbearable for anybody
Only misconduct is the most difficult
And more grievous than them all

3 Ifa says that it foresees the ire of prosperity for a couple. Ifa
says that both of them will succeed together. Ifa also says
that both of them are having the same problem and the
problem is not unrelated to how to succeed in life. Ifa
advises the couple to stop being in a hurry for success. Ebo
materials for each of them are three pigeons and money.

4 Ifa says that this person must never contemplate separation


or divorce from his/her spouse. Both of them were made for
each other from heaven. Ifa says that they were both dark
skinned in complexion. Separation or divorce will lead to

5 Ifa also assures you that you will never die young. Besides this,
you will also be honoured with a befitting title and recognition.
Ifa says that Orisa-Oko will be responsible for your recognition
and chieftaincy title acquisitions.

Ifa advises you to offer ebo with 16 guinea-fowls, 16 yams and


money. You are to feed Orisa-Oko with part of these ebo
materials. on this, Ifa says:

Kepo o wa de’sa aala
K’aala o ma de’so epo
Dia fun Adebiyii
Omo atepa ileke re’fe
Igba ti nraye ilainiiku
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

Translation
Let the palm-oil stay aside
And let the white clothe stay aside
Do not let palm-oil be close to the white clothe
Do not let the white clothe be near the palm-oil
Ifa’s message for Adebiyii
Offspring of those who uses beaded walking stick
to Ile-Ife
When gong to the world of longevity
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
Before long, not too far
Join us in the midst of all ire of life

6 Ifa says that trading in merchandise is your gateway to financial


elevation. If you undertake this line of profession, you are bound
to succeed beyond your dreams and expectations.
While you are doing this, Ifa advises you to be patient. Do not be
in a hurry to succeed. Success shall come to you in the end. You
also need to ensure that you do not leave your business in the care
of other people. It will never work for you.

Ifa advises you to offer ebo with four pigeons, four hens, four
guinea-fowls and money. You also need to feed Ifa with one hen.
On this, Ifa says:

Translation

When carrying calabashes to Eko land

Cannot be a representative in Eko

7 Ifa advises this person to offer ebo of longevity and victory.


Many crises are looking for him/her but Ifa assures him/her
that he/she shall overcome. Ebo materials; one big goat and
money. He/she also need to feed Ifa with Ifa.

Ogun igbo nii ja nigbonigbo


Ogun odan nii ja lodanlodan
Ogun Ijesa nii ja ni’ta gbangba fuu oteeremoya
Dia fun Agidimagbonyin
Ti o nii j’ogun o ja wa
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se

Translation
The war of the wilderness is waged inside the wilderness
And savannah war is waged inside the savannah
The war of Ijesa land is waged in the main street of
Oteeremoya
Ifa’s message for Agidimagbonyin
Who would never allow us to be overwhelmed with crises

Agidimagbonyin is the one who will not allow crises to
overwhelmed us
8 Ifa warns this person not to go any funeral ceremony of to
anywhere that someone is ill. This is the reason why it is a
taboo for this person to work as a medical or paramedical
personal. If there is a funeral procession, he/she must never
be part of it and must never meet them on the road. If the
procession is coming in his/her way, he/she must find
another way in order to avoid meeting them. Ifa advises this
person to offer ebo with three roosters and money.
