1. Ms. A is a 35 years old female that has been trapped in chocolate factory
for the past five months. She is 155 cm tall, and weights 20 kg. she has
been admitted to the hospital for evaluation, following this traumatic
experience. On admisiion her albumin is 2.0 and transferrin is 100.

Question :
a. What is her IBW ?
b. Calculate her % of IBW ?
c. What is BMI ?
d. What is her nutritional diagnosis ?
e. Defined nutrients requiremen ?

Answer :
a. IBW = 45,4 + (H*-152) x 0,89
IBW = 48,07 kg
b. Actual BW/IBW = %IBW
40 kg/48kg=83 % IBW
c. BMI = BW (kg)/BH(m2)= 40/(1,55)2 = 16,6
d. Her diagnosis is Marasmic Kwashiorkor
e. Nutrient requirement :
- Energy, protein, carbohydrate, fat
- Micronutrient : vitamins, minerals

Question :
a. What is her IBW ?
b. Calculate her % of IBW ?
c. What is BMI ?
d. What is her nutritional diagnosis ?
e. Defined nutrients requiremen ?

Answer :
a. IBW = 48 + (H*-152) x 1,06
IBW = 67 kg
b. Actual BW/IBW = %IBW
47kg/67kg=70 % IBW
c. BMI = BW (kg)/BH(m2)= 47/(1,7)2 = 16,3
d. Her diagnosis is Marasmus
e. Nutrient requirement
- Energy, protein, carbohydrate, fat
- Micronutrient : vitamins, minerals
