For example, for normal-weight concrete with a compressive strength of 35 MPa and a #12 bar (db = 12 mm), the minimum development length would be 16 * 12 = 192 mm. The table provides factors down to a bar diameter of 8 mm and up to a compressive strength of 100 MPa.
