Associated Learning Standard(s): The resource may be generally applicable, if so, simply state that. List any ISTE-S standards that
seem to naturally align with the selected resource.

This resource can be generally applicable to anchor standards, such as screen grabbing various items on their screen to show their
comprehension, as well as ISTE-S 1.c and 1.d, proving all of 3.

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Jing is a screencast software that is downloaded onto a computer and can be used to grab images or create videos of whatever is
on your screen, and includes audio, for narration. This is then saved to screencast.com and you can send that to anyone with a
computer to share what is on your screen.

INTEGRATION/IMPLEMENTATION IDEA - SCREENCASTING

How might you use this resource to promote student learning? Describe who will be doing the screencasting you or your
students, and what purpose it will serve.

For my specific lesson plan regarding finding a topic and finding resources for that topic, I would use this to promote
student learning by creating a video with narration as how to use a specific search engine for finding reliable and
credible articles. I would create this video and post it to my class website so if a student was doing research off
campus, or was absent during this lesson, theyd be able to learn how to use the academic search engine I provided a
link to.

I would also like to have this tech tool to have kids screen grab various assignments for me, or walk me through their assignment
via the video grab. It would show their participation in a lesson by grabbing a specific end product (like quiz results for a
personality test online etc.) and sending it to me.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Given the information above, how would the technology integration you described, using the selected resource? (On the
Value-Added Rating Scale above)
Explain your rating based on the indicators on the rubric.

I would rate this tech tool as a 2 on the Value-Added scale. I think it has the ability to enhance student learning and participation
but it also serves as an excellent way for students to receive lessons if they are absent or forgetful. It aligns to the ISTE standards
by showing they can choose and use technology (by sending teachers screen grabs), getting feedback from teachers regarding
their participation, as well as proving their ability to find and use resources through technology.
