LESSON 15

THE FOLLY REBELLION

Upon reading the given scriptures which focused in the book of Psalms 106:1-48
and even to the story in lesson 15 of Bible Truths. The story was all about Valerie who
served as state investigator, show she went to the prison cell for women to observe what
is happening there. As she socializes with others some of them shared the crime that
they committed, they open the horrible story of robbery, cocaine addiction, prostitution,
fraud and murder. All of these are the result of rebellion; the women traced their own
crime back to common beginnings rebellion as a youth at home. So Valerie learned
the peril of rebellion first hand.
Every rebel begins somewhere sometime it is seen through actions, and others are
in thoughts. When corrected they are not willing to listen for they didnt learn to
appreciate the blessings that God has directed to them. Similar to the rebellion story of
Israel, their small sins lead to big sins. First their distrust of God led to sins of
impatience and lust. They even forgot his work works, they waited not for his counsel
but lusted exceeding in the wilderness and tempted God in the dessert and lusted people
rebelled to their Gods appointed leaders and turned into idols.
Therefore rebellion is knowingly resisting Gods way and rebellion begins with
discontent and ingratitude mixed with questioning on the goodness of God. And the
worst part is that it will abandon righteous standard altogether. Despair and frustration
can lead to extreme actions. The only way out is to turn into the Lord and seek for His
Will.

LESSON 16
DEDICATION

Based on what I have read on lesson 16, theres a missionary named Daniel
Livingstone who went to Africa to spread the good news of the Lord to the people who
doesnt encounter God in their life. So as Livingstone continues to serve the Lord, he
suffered the loss of all things, his health and even his wife whom he buried in African
soil. Before his death in the hearth of Africa, he renewed his dedication to the Lord.
Dedication is a choice to serve someone or something sacrificially. Even the Lord
asks you to dedicate yourself to him and not to yourself. If God has saved you then you
belong to Him, you are His child already. So theres 3 basic elements in dedication first,
presenting your body in God means you totally need to offer your heart, spirit and your
body to Him. Next separation from the world meaning we must avoid the ungodly
things especially sins and we must not love the world or anything in the world if
anyone loves the world the love of the Father is not in him. And lastly dedication is a
new way of thinking which means when God saved you He made you new creature
your old life was gone; your new life has began.

So therefore Christians agree that a dedicated life is more enriching than any
worldly friendship and more rewarding than any temporary sinful pleasures.

LESSON 17
ACCEPTING GODS CREATIVE WORK

Upon reading the story of Francesco Lentini it really inspires many people to
accept what they have and even what they are now. So Francesco was born on 1889 and
his parents were horrified since the child had 3 legs. And the doctor examined not to cut
the leg without risking paralyzing the boy for life. So in order to help their son not to be
insecure or disappointed they always went to a home for seriously handicapped
children. So recalling the event years later he said. From that time to this, Ive never
complained I think life is beautiful and I enjoy living it.
The point is that if you are handicapped or you are a person with disabilities dont
be insecure with others. We must remember that each of us is unique on his own way.
And on the story of Francesco even though he has problems in physical structure, he
still finished his education, found a decent work and he also married and were blessed
with 4 children. And theres following questions that will help you to accept yourself as
who you are. First Beware of Faulty Standard, Trust God sovereignty and work hard to
succeed means accept yourself, accept it positively as God made you not the same as
reigning yourself to failures.
Therefore as a believers we are to view ourselves soberly recognizing our
strength and weakness and accepting and appreciating ourselves as Gods master piece.

LESSON 18
DISCOVERING SPIRITUAL GIFTS

Based on the story in lesson 18, the story of Lewis is an inspiring one that teaches
us a valuable lesson. Little people are just as important as those who get all the credit
and glory. All Christians have something to give in Gods service, and all of us must
work together for a church or any Christian organization to succeed in its ministry.
Gods Word describes the church as one body with many members. And to ensure that
the body of Christ is functioning God gives us His spiritual gifts. These are special
abilities, God-given tools to help believers in their Christian service.
So some of us were confuse with the difference of natural abilities and spiritual
gifts. Unsaved people have abilities, but gist are a products of Gods spirit and gift have
2 purpose, first is to bring glory to God and second to build up fellow Christians and
according to some verses the following spiritual gifts are apostleship, prophesy,
pastoring, teaching, evangelism, exhortation, ruling, word of wisdom, word of
knowledge, discerning and many more.
So therefore, spiritual gifts are given not to give us something to boast about, but
to edify the church body. Every believer is to use his gift or gifts to glorify God. As
each member of the body fulfils his parts, the whole body grows and is edified.
LESSON 19
DISCERNING GODS WILL

The topic Gods Will, will be our focused in this lesson. The most important thing
in individuals life is to put God first. According to Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with
all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge
Him and He will make your path straight. And we must put into mind that God is more
interested in what you have done what you do, for God looks for commitment. And He
want you to say Lord I am willing to follow your Will.
And even God also use circumstances to help us discern His will. If you really
seek Gods Will in your life and if you dont see that theres no available opportunity
learn to wait for God will make a way or opportunity.

So therefore we, as Christians must remember that God will not lead you contrary
to His word and He is keenly interested that you know His will. He will reveal it to you
if you trust Him, commit you way to Him and seek His glory.

LESSON 20
THE MINISTRY

The best illustration for this lesson was the story Saul who became Paul as he met
the Lord and as he served the ministry of the Lord. God call to use Paul to preach His
Word. As we remember Paul persecute Christians in his time. So God punished him
through making his eye blind because he still persecuting Christians and he didnt
believe in God. So through that he learns that God is real true, he started to proclaim
Gods goodness to other people most especially to those who didnt know God yet.
So we cant tell what will happen next. Maybe God will touch your heart or call
you to be a missionary or a preacher. And Once He called you dont look back, dont
hesitate to serve His ministry for He chose you because He believe that you are worthy
to be one of his servant.
Therefore seek to know if God wants you to be in the ministry. Then, if God calls
you, prepare yourself diligently and minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. God
rewards His servant who faithfully serve Him.

LESSON 21
DEVELOPING BIBLICAL STANDARD: PART 1

In this topic we are now more focused on standard. It is not just a simple standard
set by people but a standard that God set for us to follow. Standards are rules to live
by and nothing in life functions well without Gods rules. In similar way Christians
cannot function well without Gods rules. When we accept Christ, we agreed to abide
by His standard. And sometimes it is not easy, most especially when our world is so
godless in a sense that we prefer to choose wealth than spending time with the Lord.
And upon doing things, we must remember this following questions as our guide.
First does it agree with Word of God? Will it bring glory to God? Will it be a profitable
use of my time talents and money? Will it help other Christians grow? And many more,
may it be that this will serve as our basis in whatever things that we are going to do.
And therefore I conclude that God does not leave His people without guidelines
for living, and we believers need standards by which he can govern his conduct.
Commit yourself to right and holy standards for your life, and encourage others to
follow Biblical standard too.

LESSON 22
DEVELOPING BIBLICAL STANDARD: PART 2

In this lesson God demands that believers practice high standards of holy living.
And Christ bought us with His Holy blood. But when people having rejected Gods
rules and conduct, Israels society degenerated into anarchy. Such sins as theft, idolatry,
adultery, homosexuality and rape were very common. And if you fail to abide God
standards you will be destructed. And we must put into mind that God planned sex as a
pure and beautiful expression of love between husband and wife.
But because sinful man has perverted Gods plan. And, nowadays sensual
environment place tremendous pressure on you to give in, next is sensual thinking Jesus
said that adultery and fornication proceed out of a persons head. Keeping our actions
pure is only a small part of your battle.
Hence, as Christians we must stick into Gods standard for us to avoid those
things that didnt give glory and honour to His name. And by Gods grace. We can live
above the filth around you and follow Gods standards.

LESSON 23
FIGHTING TEMPTATION

Temptations are the primary enemy or should I say the ultimate enemy of us
human, most especially to us Christian people. Some can control themselves not to
engage or not to do sinful things, while others cant. Temptation is the way of Satan to
get our attention and focused on him but, if your faith is really anchored to Christ you
can resist it. For me the very prone people in temptation are those who doesnt have
relationship with the Lord, and even those who are claiming that they already know the
Lord in their lives but the truth is, they dont. They are the people who are Christian by
word but actually it doesnt reflect on their actions.
Whether we mean it or not, we dont always win against Satan and sins
sometimes we fail. Yet with each trial or temptation, we must earnestly seek victory.
The more experience we have at trusting the Lord, the better we should do. And if ever
that you are tempted remember that God always forgive us. Just ask for forgiveness
with sincere heart.
So therefore temptation must be avoided most especially to us Christians because
remember, the righteousness of the Lord reflects on us. And remember You sin when
your own lusts draw you into evil. But when you are tempted, God will provide a way
to escape. That way is Christ. Through the power of the risen Christ you can win over
temptation.

LESSON 24
DATING BY GODS STANDARDS

Of all those people you date, only one is right for you to marry. Dating is a
process for selecting that one, and it can be painful sometimes. And most of the
teenagers nowadays wants to have girlfriends and boyfriend which is not good why?
Maybe most of you are asking why Im not in favor with dating when your teenager or
maybe you are concluding that I am bitter and my answer to that is No. You must
remember that God is in control of your life and that He know what is best for you. Do
not be unduly discouraged when someone says no to relationship, or when you must
stop the relationship yourself. Trust God to put all the pieces together in His time.
Usually good dates dont just happen, however preparation is essential. Since the
guy is usually the one who initiates the date, he is primarily responsible for the
planning. The guy should have enough money to pay for the date. But my suggestion is
that it is always best to stay busy doing good things. With idle time comes
temptation, and temptation often leads to sin.
So therefore if you really dating with someone, you must put in mind that at the
start of your dating experiences, seek to grow spiritually as well as socially. Your dating
times should be enjoyable and God honoring. As God works in your life, He will show
you the one He wants to be your life partner.
LESSON 25
DEALING WITH GUILT

Guilt is a feeling that we feel when we committed sins, and the question is why
the feeling of guilt is so universal? Because all people have a sin problem. The Bible
declares. All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God When we sin, he
sentence of guilt echoes in our conscience You have sinned And deep down inside we
know that God knows what weve done, and we are always afraid that others will find
out too.
The power of conscience comes when we committed sins it simple means that the
Holy Spirit really works on you if you have Christ in your life. But if you dont have,
well you cant feel the word conscience. Sins the Holy Spirit is not working in you.
Dealing with guilt is the hardest thing that we encounters in my daily life. And for you
to overcome guilt you should confess your sins to the Lord and you also need to fight
yourself for it is hard for you to confess you sins if you dont fight yourself.
Therefore dealing with guilt is not easy here, all you need to overcome it is not
strength or knowledge but will. And willingness to confess your sins and to change
yourself if very vital in dealing with guilt.

LESSON 26
TRUSTING IN GODS DAILY CARE
We must remember that God created us in His own image and we are His
magnificent master piece ever created. Remember in the Garden of Eden when He
created Adam, He let him take charge of the garden. God watches over him but God
notice that it is not good for a man to be alone and He took up Adams one rib and
through the Eve was created. And up to the moment that Adam and Eve committed a
great mistake. He let both of them suffer the consequences of their actions and when
God let them go out of the Garden of Eden. He still watches them with tender care and
concern for He love us, not only them, but all of us.
Remember the day when Jesus was born on this world? Thats the best illustration
that shows Gods care to us people. For we are sinners, Jesus didnt refused to offer His
life as a ransom for us sinners. And God let His one and only Son suffer the
punishment of us sinners. See, God really cares for us. We dont just see it but if youre
a Christian you can feel His overflowing care to us.
And therefore, God is to loving to do anything unkind to us, And He is too wise to
make any mistakes. Place your life in the care of your heavenly Father, because He
cares for you. Now that you are His child. He will provide all your needs.

LESSON 27
OVERCOMING DEPRESSION

Disappointments are part of life. And if disappointments are not handled

Biblically, they can cause depression. Paul said We are troubled on every side, yet not
distressed, we are perplexed, but not in despair persecuted but not forsaken, cast down,
but not destroyed. (ll Cor. 4:8-9) Disappointments may get us down but they should not
knock us out. Depression occurs when we get down and stay there. A person suffering
depression fails to act responsibly toward his normal chores and interest. He loses touch
with who he is, where he is, and what he is responsible to do. It is important for you to
realize that we are not any different from others who have faced serious
disappointment.
The Bible emphasizes that during our times of depression, we need to hope in
God. There are also practical steps you and take to relieve depression and lessen the
chances of its recurrence. First is Acknowledge sin immediately and repent of any
known sins such as poor attitudes toward God, next expert discouragement, you should
not be surprised when trials come into your life, especially after you experienced
periods of spiritual fitness, and many more.
Therefore, the Bibles emphasis is on hope take your problems to the Lord and
seek His answer. If you do become depressed, learn how to confess your sin, seek
Gods deliverance, and then avoid the sin later. No problem is too great for God. He can
deliver you from your depression.

LESSON 28
EXERCISING SELF-CONTROL

Whether you agree with me or not. Getting control of yourself is no easy task of
course. And there are many areas in which discipline is needed. You should begin with
the following work, money, talk and temper. In our daily life we experience this,
sometimes it really test our temper, and it depends on us on how we are going to control
it. Its within us, its up to us most especially when you have Christ in your life, God
will fully control it or should I say He will control you since you are already His
sons/daughter.
Closely akin to speech control is temper control. How do you react when things
do not go your way? You can be sure that referees will make a bad call, that
administrators will render unfair decisions. There are three things that you should keep
or put into our mind, first we should always be slow to anger, a short use fuse will bring
you shame. Second, you should become angry about important things, not significantly
matters and lastly we must not let our anger cause us to sin.
Hence, God expects you to exercise self-control in every area of your life,
specifically in time, money your tongue and your temper. Restrict your wants and be
content with what God brings into your life. One way everyone will know whether you
have self-control is by listening to your words in everyday conversation.

LESSON 29
LEARNING PATIENCE

In this lesson we are going to learn what patience is and what are the qualities of
it. Gods Word puts a heavy emphasis on patience, because God knows that Christians
who lack it will quit when the going gets tough. After a few spiritual wind sprints
they will turn aside to easier pursuits. Are you a patient Christian, able to endure tough
circumstances, put up with difficult people, and wait for God to act? Your reaction to
tough circumstances says much about your character.
Routine can be the toughest circumstance of all. Much of life involves doing the
same thing, day in and day out. And this to enduring circumstances. While in Putting up
with difficult people, humanly speaking its tough, when we do manage to keep out
mouths shut, our inside churn. Only the Holy Spirit can bring calm to the troubled soul.
When someone abuses you, pray. When someone grates you, pray.
Therefore Biblical patience involves three qualities first, enduring tough
circumstances, 2, putting up with difficult people and waiting for God to act. It is easy
to give up when the going gets tough or attack those who are difficult to get along with.
Even Christians are very prone to get frustrated when God delays in answering their
prayers.
LESSON 30
BECOMING A LEADER

In every country theres always be a president, prime minister, prince, princess

queen and king it depends on what type or kinds our government do you have. But did
you expect the even God appointed them to rule over us? Even though theres a
negative comments or should a say criticism to them still they continue to serve our
government. You can learn to become a leader, too. Natural talent is not the criterion,
the call of God is. Be sure to do Gods Will, as God gives your opportunity to serve
Him, He will direct you to people who can help you.
Some leaders possess great natural talents. And the all the leaders used all his
natural talents in Gods service, according to Gods will. He never exalted himself, nor
did he run ahead of Gods leading. And we must remember, that not all leaders are
using their great talents to please the Lord some are using it for their own self-interest.
But at the end they fail because of the things that they did, some are guilty for using the
money or funds of the government with ghost beneficiaries so where does money went?
Well obviously the answer is to them, the money went to their bank account and etc.
Therefore a good leader must also be a good follower of Christ. And When God
gave them a great talents in governing the people they should use it in a proper and
right way not just to please that Taong Bayan but to also glorify the master who have
given them that kind of talents.

LESSON 31
LISTENING TO GOOD ADVICE
Humanly speaking good advice is hard to get. Most especially when you are
pressure on such things as dating, marriage, college career and a host of other matters.
But you lack experience in all these areas. You need sound advice. With it, you are well
on your way to a productive, enjoyable life. Without it, you risk dreadful mistakes. Our
main/ ultimate source of help is the Bible. We have no excuse for being ignorant of
Gods Word. Any time spent in the Word will be well spent. God has recorded
everything you need to know in order to live a godly life and the better you know His
word the better you will be able to know what God would have you to do.
And there are some sources of advice that you should avoid. Friends your own
age are sometimes the least reliable source of advice. Many times they will tell you
only what you want to hear, or what they would do based on their limited experience.
Also, avoid getting advice from ungodly people. The unregenerate do not listen to the
things of God, for Gods way are foolishness to them. We should learn to ask wisdom
and advice from sources other than unsaved people, especially in spiritual matters.
Therefore God has given you His Word to guide you in His truth. Evaluate the
advice of godly ministers parents, teachers, and friends against Gods Word. Heeding
the wise counsel of worthy counselors will make you wise. Avoiding the opinions of the
immature and godless will protect you from tragic mistakes.

LESSON 32
ATTENDING A CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

In good Christian school like Kings College of Isulan, Gods Word is integrated
into all subjects. Such matters as history, science, ,Filipino, philosophy, math, ESP and
many more. And even current events are taught from a Biblical perspective. In
Christian institution like KCI students study in controlled environment where they learn
to develop Biblical standards. It does take some courage to surrender your freedoms.
But if you are in your graduation day you will be thankful that your school offered
protection from sin. You will leave with College degree and with Christian character.
So we should look for a school with balanced program, you need to develop
spiritually, mentally, socially, and physically, Do not go to a college where it is easy to
get good grades without hard work, you are only cheating yourself and wasting money.
So we should look for a Christian school with plenty of opportunities for you to get
involved in Christian community. Our school should offer ample dating opportunities
and chances to take part in sport, drama and music. And most especially we should look
for a school where we can grow spiritually and even our faith to God will be strengthen.
Therefore, the best Christian schools should offer solid academic credentials and
the security of a godly environment. They train young people to serve Christ effectively
in the field of their choice, while protecting them against the dangers of pagan
philosophy and youthful lusts. You should look for the college that is best for you, the
one that will help you develop spiritually, mentally, socially and physically.
