INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

1. This assignment contains only TWO (2) questions that are set in the language of the printed module for the course.

2. Answer in English.

3. Download the assignment template concerned from the UNIEC for preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be
typed using 12 point Times New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing.

4. Your assignment should be a complete lesson plan.

5. You must submit your assignment ON-LINE via the UNIEC for course Leader to review and hard copy for your tutor for marking. Refer to the
portal for instructions on the procedures to submit your assignment on-line. You are advised to keep a copy of your submitted assignment for
personal reference.

6. You can submit your assignment ONCE only in a SINGLE file.

7. Your assignment must be submitted between by Week 7. Submission after Week 7 will NOT be accepted.
8. Your assignment should be prepared individually. You should not copy another persons assignment. You should also not plagiarise another persons
work as your own.

EVALUATION

This assignment accounts for 40% of the marks for the course mentioned and shall be assessed based on the Rubrics.

You would be informed of the assignment mark before the Final Semester Examination commences.

PLAGIARISM : MARKS DEDUCTION

Warning : The submitted assignment will automatically undergo a similarity check. If plagiarism is detected, marks would be deducted as follows:

Assignments with 10 - 30 % overlap with others: 20% deduction from the total marks scored.
Assignments with 31 - 50 % overlap with others: 40% deduction from the total marks scored.
Assignments with more than 50% overlap with others: Zero mark would be given.

Assignment 1 (30%)- Individual Work

With reference to DSKP Curriculum for Preschool, prepare a language lesson for a group of children aged 6. Your lesson can be on any
ONE of the following language skills namely:

Listening
Speaking
Reading
Writing

OR you could also integrate two or more skills in your lesson. Your lesson should include the teaching materials that you plan to use
with your children. Plan your lesson as interesting as possible, bearing in mind that this is a language lesson and learning should be fun
for children. Try to be creative in planning some new interesting activities that children would enjoy. Inject new ideas in your lesson.

Assignment 2 (10%)-Individual Work


You will be required to present the lesson that you have planned in Assignment 1 in a micro-teaching session. Use the materials that you
have prepared in your presentation.
