    RATIONALE OF THE PROJECT:


    Kalamansig National High School Multi Purpose Building was a project initiated on SY 2011
    2012. The expenses incurred for this was generated through the assistance of Hon. Arnulfo F. Go, the
    2nd District Congressman of Sultan Kudarat Province. In addition, the KNHS Parents and Teachers
    Association had also given its counterpart in order to complete its construction. However, such amount
    was not sufficient for the expenses actually needed.
    Originally, the facility was purposely put up to provide comfortable place for learning and
    developing numerous talents and skills of the students as well as venue for various school activities.
    But then, as time goes by, it is seen that the said facility can still serve other purposes aside from the
    ones required by the Academe.
    Geographically, the municipality where the Multi Purpose Building sits was located in the
    coastal area. Hence, it is always faced by different threats and natural calamities such as tsunamis,
    flashfloods, landslides and others especially during rainy season. Moreover, a number of its populace is
    among the Muslim tribes; therefore, family feuds known as rido are quite common. As practiced,
    whenever the safety and welfare of people is threatened by these issues, schools are the first prospects
    in choosing areas for the evacuation.
    Considering the number of the Kalamansigueos living in the coastline and flood/lanslideaffected areas as well as the Muslim populace affected by various family feuds, the presence of the
    KNHS Multi Purpose Building can be very helpful due to its size which can accommodate many
    people.
    However, the said facility is not yet ready to serve the abovementioned purpose. There are still
    some concerns which might somehow affect the safety and comfort of the evacuees who will be
    sheltered there. The roof needs for an extension and other areas need repair.
    These prompted the school administration to establish partnership with other agencies that can
    augment in the completion and repair of the said building.

    OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT


    General Objective:

    To repair and complete the Kalamansig National High School Multi


    Purpose Building/Evacuation Center.

    Specific Objectives: To provide area for teaching-learning activities of KNHS teachers and
    students.
    To provide center for the Kalamansigueos who needs to be evacuated.
    To assist the Local Government Unit of Kalamansig in dealing with
    concerns related to man-made and natural calamities.

    IMPLEMENTING STRATEGIES
    a. Preparation and submission of project proposal to the concerned office/s for approval and
    budget allocation.
    b. Inspection of the area.
    c. Preparation of Program of Works.
    d. Conduct of the project.
    e. Monitoring and evaluation of the project.

    BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS
    The expenses and materials needed for the repair and completion of Kalamansig National High
    School Multi Purpose Building/Evacuation Center shall be determined by the funding agency upon
    the conduct of inspection of the said facility.

    MONITORING AND EVALUATION


    It is expected that the project will undergo monitoring and evaluation process duly required by
    the financing agency.
