ARGENTINA
Argentina, known simply as Argentina, is a country in South America, located in the far
south and southeast of the subcontinent. He organized republican, representative and
federal thus constitutes 24 entities, 23 provinces and an autonomous city, Buenos Aires,
capital and seat of the federal government.

Cultura and traditions


Argentina's culture is marked by the multiethnic and multicultural character of its
population, the strong syncretism of its forms of expression, and a positive assessment of
progress and modernity, which combine, not without conflict, a sense of belonging to the
European and Latin American cultures, with strong Asian and African contributions.
Literature
The Argentina literature prominently in literature in Spanish, with exponents of the late
nineteenth century as Jos Hernndez (author of Martn Fierro, translated into more than 70
languages), or the twentieth century, as Jorge Luis Borges, who instead is considered one of
the twenty principal authors of the canon of Western literature of all time.
Music
The tango is a musical style and a dance born in the Buenos Aires suburbs with
international circulation, linked strongly with Argentina and Uruguay, but especially
with Buenos Aires. In this genre highlighted Carlos Gardel, considered the King of
Tango.
Movies
The Argentine film is historically one of the most developed in Latin America. It has rooms
for the average person Latinoamrica.Los highest character, sound mute and first feature
films were made by Quirino Cristiani.

Language
The breadth of the country, the existence of different linguistic substrates produced by the
variety of Amerindian languages and the different contributions of the vernacular languages
of European immigrants of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, several
different dialectal forms have resulted. One of these being the Castilian which currently is
the largest practice in Argentina speaks.

Religion
In Argentina freedom of religion is guaranteed by the "Article 14" of the Constitution,
although the State recognizes a prominent character to the Catholic Church, which has a
distinct legal status for the rest of churches and confessions.
Education.
The early development of popular education placed to Argentina with higher literacy
nations of the world. The use of white apron as school uniform as a paradigm of the ideal of
equality and unity, has always characterized the public, secular and free school, whose great
promoter was Domingo Faustino Sarmiento.
At all levels of education are public and private educational institutions. The State
guarantees free education at all with the exception of university graduate.
Gastronomy
Argentina typical meal is roast or grill (meat and cow innards cooked on the grill) plus
empanadas (a kind of stuffed pies and other treats), tamales, humita and the soup. As in
neighboring countries, is very habitual consumption of a sausage sandwich, called
choripn. Potatoes and sweet potatoes are widely used food since pre-Columbian times.
Pasta, pizza, and stew also have become typical of Argentina cuisine meals.

Sport.
Football surpassed all disciplines in the taste of the Argentineans. Member of FIFA, the
Argentina National Team participated in 16 of the final 20 stages of the World
Championships, managing to be champion in Argentina (1978) and Mexico (1986).
Vestments typical
The costume of Argentina's gaucho costume. The gaucho is a typical peasant from the
plains of countries like Uruguay, Brazil (south), Chile and Argentina, a typical image of
Argentine folklore.

In the inland provinces, the gaucho costume is characterized by having a slouch leather
adorned around (this hat is small brim and very useful in times of rain or intense sun of the
range), vest with side pockets make it easier to carry the snuff or coca leaves, white shirt,
long pants that are used within the black boots which cannot carry or spurs to incite the
horses, you plate steel belt and silk scarf neck (it is usually red, black or blue color).
Tourist sites

Spotlight cannot ignore the capital Buenos Aires which has a number of attractions such as
the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires, Puerto Madero, Teatro San Martn,
and the Estadio Luna Park.

This park is also located in the province of Misiones 18 km from Puerto Iguazu, houses a
large vegetation including orchids, which surround the famous waterfalls bearing the same
name, Iguaz; also enjoys the 400 species of birds.

Tren a las nubes.

Traverses diverse landscapes in one of the three highest trains in the world passing through
the Andes. Traveling 15 hours starting from the city of Salta to the viaduct La Polvorilla
and back.

Teatro Coln

The Teatro Coln is an opera house in Buenos Aires. For its size, acoustics and history, is
considered one of the five best in the world.
