MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Prove rbs 25- 27; Gal at i ans 6
Monday, September 15
Rut h 2: 3 And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her
hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of
Elimelech.
Great Father and God:
A hap is just a happening, and seems like nothing but an accident or a
random incident until overruled by your providence. I seek the same blessing as
Ruth today, because I know I am under the care of Ruths God. Make it my hap to
light in the life of someone I can help see Jesus with my witness. Order my steps.
Give me guidance and direction. Bring me specifically into the life of
__________ and __________ in such a way it opens doors to the gospel.
You are so good to those who trust you, and you so often surprise me with
unexpected blessings. Chance is banished by faith, because I can see your hand in
everything. Even trivial events of the day involve consequences you control. I
trust you with that, and so I pray. Deal as graciously with your servant today as
you did with Ruth of old.
And Oh! that you would reveal your own self to mejust like Boaz
revealed himself to Ruthas her kinsman-redeemer. O Spirit of God, guide me
to see Jesus! I would rather get the gleanings from your field Lord, than carry
away the whole harvest from anyplace else. This is a weary world during times I
do not feel your presence. I could do better without the sun than without you my
Savior, for all things look fairer in the light of your countenance.
I know the virtue that dwells in Jesus. Give me grace to take it to others
who are blind. I cannot be content without you, Lord. Make my family and lost
friends discontent until they know you like I do. I will wait in prayer until you
manifest yourself as redeemer to them. Amen.
TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS LIFE
Chronological Bible Reading: Prove rbs 28- 31; Ephesi ans 1
Tuesday, September 16
John 13: 1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was
come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in
the world, he loved them unto the end.
Dear Loving Lord and Gracious Father:
What a fact for my faith to claim! Because what you were and arewhat
you were to those with whom you lived on earthyou will be to me, and to all
your beloved ones today. Yet here is what is amazing me: it says, having loved.
That you should ever have loved us at all is a wonder! What was there in your
poor apostles that you should love them? But thenwhat is there in me? What is
there in me?
Lord, I thank you; because once you start to love it is in your nature to
continue to love. Love made me his own. What a title! You purchased me with
your blood and I became your treasure.
! Being your own, you will not lose me
! Being your beloved, you will not stop loving me
And you loved Lord, to the end. Even as your life dripped-out on the
cross, you loved. That ruling passion reigned in your heart until its last beat.
That also means you will love me to the uttermost. You could not love me
more than to love me to your last breath. Having loved me to your last breath,
you will now love me to perfection! Your love will bring me all the way to
completion in the image of Jesus Christ. Truly, you have lavished perfect love!
There is no un-wisdom or unfaithfulness in your actions toward me, because
there is neither fault nor flaw in your loveand also no reservation.
Such is the love of Jesus to each one of his children. Let me sing to my
Well-beloved my praises! Amen.
WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Ec c l esi ast es 1- 3; Ephesi ans 2
Wednesday, September 17
Isa. 41: 21 Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons,
saith the King of Jacob.
Glorious God:
You love to be pleaded with and petitioned. You could give me all the
covenant blessings without prayer. So why compel me to pray unless you want a
family relationship, and so love to hear the voice of your children? We come
united from every corner, though at different times and through different
languages. You delight in blessing me from the mercy seat of prayer. I live by
prayer. The church of God never gains revival except in answer to prayer.
If my prayers have sped with success before, and if you invite me now, and
even delight in my petitions, then let me not be slack about praying. Lord, give
me faith to engage, and even enlarge my requests for revival before you!
Let me pray for revival i n t he spi ri t of adorat i on and grat i t ude . Get
me back to my chastity in Christ. Help me say, I have nothing to do with the
world except to convert them. I ask not its approval. I fear not their injustice and
prejudices. I lean upon the Lord alone, and make allegiance or alliance with no
one else. All I ask for is a level field, and a clear opportunity to present Christ!
Gods truth will produce its own revival.
Let me pray for revival wi t h st rong reasons. Lord, your truth does not
prosper at my workplace, yet you have said it will not return to you void. You are
blasphemed by every person it seems, yet you have said you will be worshipped
by all. Lord, they set up idols; tear them down for your names sake!
Will you not have it so? Will you not do it in my arena of work, school and
home? Will you not bring revival to our church in Blue Springs? Lord, our lives
hang in the balance as we petition you. Grant it by your grace. Amen.
A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING
Chronological Bible Reading: Ec c l esi ast es 4- 6; Ephesi ans 3
Thursday, September 18
Josh. 20: 2 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you cities of refuge,
HE never fails the soul that trusts in Him;
Tho disappointments come and hope burns dim,
He never fails.
Tho trials surge like stormy seas around,
Tho testings fierce like ambushed foes abound,
Yet this my soul, with millions more has found,
He never fails; He never fails.
He never fails the soul that trusts in Him;
Tho angry skies with thunder-clouds grow grim,
He never fails.
Tho icy blasts lifes fairest flowrs lay low,
Tho earthly springs of joy all cease to flow,
Yet still tis true, with millions more I know,
He never fails; He never fails.
He never fails the soul that trusts in Him;
Tho sorrows cup should overflow the brim,
He never fails.
Tho oft the pilgrim way seems rough and long,
I yet shall stand amid yon white-robed throng,
And there Ill sing, with millions more, this song
He never fails; He never fails.
FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY
Chronological Bible Reading: Ec c l esi ast es 7- 9; Ephesi ans 4
Friday, September 19
Isa. 41: 10 yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my
righteousness.
Heavenly Lord and Holy Father:
Not only do you provide us strength for what we have to do, but you
guarantee us divine assistance in times when we cannot act alone. Lord, you have
to help us today! We need strength within to be supplemented by aid from
without. We thank you Lord, for raising-up relationships allies out of our
church family. So many times you send us human assistance through disciplers,
or counselors, or comrades-in-arms. And you yourself are at our side by your
Spiritthat is even better!
! Your help is timely
Ps a. 46: 1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
! Your help is wise
Ge n. 2: 18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I
will make him an help meet for him.
! Your help is effective
Ps a. 60: 11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
! Your help is more than enough, because you bear all the burden of
success and supply all the needs along the way
He b. 13: 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear
what man shall do unto me.
Because you have been our help to save us already, we feel confidence as
your children. Our prayer is, Lord, be thou my helper. Our experience is, The Spirit
also helpeth mine infirmities. Our expectation is, I will lift up mine eyes to the hills whence
cometh my help. And our song shall be, Thou, Lord, hast helped me! Lord, Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Ec c l esi ast es 10- 12; Ephesi ans 5
Saturday, September 20
Ps a. 91: 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou
trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Father God and King:
Christ on the crosswhat do I see? I learn what my own responsibilities
are when enduring distress. Whenever anything distracts, alarms or worries me,
let my FIRST reaction be resignation to your will.
I bow me to Thy will, O God, and all Thy ways adore;
And every day I live Ill seek to please Thee more and more.
Next, I recognize my SECOND duty as prayer. When I am in the very agony
of pain, I dont have to let my mind run loose with bitter grief. I can pray! I must
react that way. Your Fathers heart is touched by my cry.
The THIRD duty I have is to commit myself to you by faith. If I have truly
given my self to you, then I can trust my life to you. I am in your protective
custody. I know if I only trust, you will reward my faith in a way as yet unseen.
FINALLY, I can practice your presence. I recognize you are here in my time
of sorrow and danger, and my moment of greatest frustration and fear. I put
myself into your hands just like I would give myself to the care of a policeman or
a soldier during a time of attack.
Ps a. 140: 7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my
head in the day of battle.
Let me do my duty right now. I resign myself to your will. I pray to you as
my Father. I commit myself to your care. I rest in a sense of your presence. May
the Spirit of God help me, for this is what I see displayed in Christ on the cross.
Now that I see Christ, make me more like Christ! Make me more Christlike
because I have contemplated the cross! Do it for your own glory, Jesus. Amen.

HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH
HOW TO BUILD A BALANCED LIFE
1) TIMEWORSHIP
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.
2) TITHEWORK
1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as
God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3) TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.
QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS
! Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)
! Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of
walking with us)
! Basing beliefs and actions on the mind of Christ (your church relationship in
the Word)

PRAYER DIARY
" INTERCEDE WITH GOD " INSTRUCT SAINTS
" PROMPT PETITIONS " KICKSTART DEVOTION
INSTRUCTIONS:
Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan
Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
