Waycross Motor Speedway 2014 ENDURO RULES

RULE BOOK DISCLAIMER


The rules and or regulations set forth herein are designated to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events (or other events) at the Waycross Motor Speedway Facility (W.M.S.) and establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have agreed to comply by these rules. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication or compliance with these rules and or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official. The race director shall be empowered to permit minor deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his or her opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from such alteration of specifications. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials of Waycross Motor Speedway. Their decision is final. Approval of a car by WMS inspection shall only mean that inspected car is approved for participation in a race event, and shall not be constructed in any way to mean the inspected car by WMS is guaranteed mechanically sound. W.M.S. and staff shall not be liable for any mechanical failure nor for any losses, injury or death resulting from it. SPIRIT AND INTENT The rules and regulations contained herein are the standards by which racing events at the Waycross Motor Speedway will be guided. Officials at these events are authorized to decide if a variation or design is an attempt to beat the rules or alter effectiveness of the rules. The officials can and will disqualify an entry for such actions. Track officials shall reserve the right to initiate action to correct a hazardous situation or condition not in compliance with the spirit and intent of these rules and regulations. All cars and support equipment shall be maintained throughout the year in a pleasing and professional manner in appearance and mechanical condition. Track officials reserve the right to request or demand updates and changes to any vehicles and support equipment. Failure to comply with the spirit and intent of these rules and regulations may result in suspension, disqualification, expulsion, and/or fines to be designated by track officials or as may be set forth in these rules.

Waycross Motor Speedway 2014 ENDURO RULES


Any tolerances determined by tech man and management decisions will be final! Anything not specified in the rules must be stock. All equipment must be in original position from original manufacturer. Engines must come from factory in the car. Helmet and complete fire suit must be worn anytime car is on track. CAR A. Any American made 2 or 4 door car. B. Wheel base must remain factory. C. All doors must be welded shut. D. All glass and materials that would burn MUST BE REMOVED. E. Racing seat required. Seat must be bolted with a minimum of 6 3/8 bolts to bars that are welded to roll cage. F. Must have five (5) point quick release racing type seat belt and shoulder harness three (3) inches wide. Must be bolted to roll cage with minimum 3/8 bolt. G. Four (4) point roll cage required and must be welded to frame rails and all connections must be fully welded. All cages must be a minimum diameter of 1 inch and minimum 0.90 wall thickness. A minimum of 3 horizontal bars is required in the drivers door and a minimum of 2 inches in the passenger door. Roll bar installation and workmanship must be approved. H. Stock unaltered floor pan, firewall, and trunk floor must be retained. Hulling permitted. Dashboard may be replaced with sheet metal. All holes in floorboard and firewalls must be covered with sheet metal. I. Must have stock type bumpers. Aluminum OK if fitted to car properly. No bump bars of any kind. May have radiator protection bar, cannot extend past front bumper. May have bar to protect fuel cell. J. Must have 3 windshield bars in front of the driver.

CAR (continued) K. Tow hook on front mandatory. L. Battery must be located under hood or in trunk.

(Enduro)

M. Racing steering wheel with quick release permitted. No steering quickeners allowed. N. Approved fire extinguisher with gauge required and must be securely installed in reach of driver. O. Boxing around driver OK, must have inspection panel. ENGINE A. Engine must be strictly stock for that make and model. 350 OK in all GM cars, metric included. Engine allowed 0.060 for bore plus 0.010 wear. Pistons must be 4 eyebrow flat top pistons. No forged pistons. Electric fuel pump OK. Must be wired to ignition switch. The following engines will not be allowed: superchargers, turbos, double overhead cam, LT1, LS, tuned port or HOs. All ignition parts must be stock. No high performance parts. Solid engine mounts in stock location. B. Heads: Stock valves. Max 1.94 intake and 1.50 exhaust. NO aftermarket retainers. May have three (3) angle valve job. NO bowl cutting of any kind. Stock rocker studs only. Stock rocker arms only. Stock type valve springs. NO poly locks or guide plates. 72cc minimum head. NO angle plug heads. NO 191 or 193 Chevy heads. Engine Quest EQ-CH350I or equivalent is allowed. If you use another head, it is your responsibility to produce specs proving your head is exactly the same as the EQ head. NO 185cc intake runners. C. Cam and Lifters: Intake lift 420, exhaust lift 420. Stock replacement lifters only. Must have wire ring clip. Valve adjustment must be preloaded. Stock push rods only. 450-450 lift camshaft allowed with a 75 pound weight penalty. D. Carburetor: Stock for make and model. Fuel injection OK if comes from factory. Optional stock carburetor or unaltered single line Holley: Part #1850 ONLY. E. Intake: Stock cast iron manifolds only for make and model. Outlet cannot exceed three (3) inches. Block Hugger Headers with maximum 1.625 diameter tubes OK. (Available at Summit Hedman Block Hugger Street Rod Headers 68390). Block Hugger Headers do not have a collector and must have an exhaust pipe just as stock exhaust manifolds do.

DRIVE TRAIN AND SUSPENSION

(Enduro)

A. Transmission: Transmission must be stock. Standard or automatic. Stock clutch and stock torque converter. Aftermarket hydraulic clutch pedal and release bearing OK. Steel safety bellhousing when using standard transmission. B. Rear-end: Stock rear-end for make of car only. Lock rear-ends OK. C. Shocks: Stock shocks in stock location. Stock suspension for make of car. No jack bolts or spring buckets allowed. Heavy duty or racing springs of same size allowed. Modification (heating/cutting) OK. TIRES AND WHEELS A. Tires: Maximum tire width 8. D.O.T. tires ONLY. No racing tires with D.O.T. stamp. B. BRAKES A. Stock type master cylinder, booster optional. Disc brakes OK. FUEL A. Fuel tank may be moved inside of trunk. Tanks must be securely mounted. B. Fuel cell recommended. Fuel cell must be no lower than center of the rear-end housing. C. Pump gas only. WEIGHT A. The required weight is a minimum of thirty-four hundred (3400) pounds including the driver on the track scales AFTER the race. Wheels: Steel wheels maximum 8 wide. No aluminum wheels. Must have 1 lug nuts with correct length studs on all 4 wheels.

Any car visiting from another track will be given one (1) courtesy race to run with weight penalties in order to try out Waycross Motor Speedway. After this one (1) trial race, should the car return, it MUST be by WMS rules. Drivers must speak with the tech man before the race to access weight penalties or car will be disqualified. No points will be given until the car is by WMS rules.
