Schedule 2- Form of Request for Quotation

Request for Quotation Number G4009 This Request for Quotation (RFQ) is issued in accordance with Clause 5.2 of the Deed of Standing Offer for Short Term Personnel Hire entered into with the Commonwealth of Australia as represented by Geoscience Australia (GA) dated 29 September 2010 (Deed). Quotations, in the form of Schedule 4 to the Deed, must be sent via email to [email protected] by the date and time specified in item 2 below. Mid level developer to assist in design, conduct development/unit testing, and release management of JEE web and Python solutions in Linux/Unix Environment. This position provides Python and Java development services to the National Earth Observation (NEO) Group within Geoscience Australia. .5 Specified Personnel Number of personnel required: One Selection criteria: Experience in design, development, and unit testing of Python applications and JEE web applications using the Spring Framework; Well-developed experience with XML technologies (XML, XSD, XSLT); Experienced with Objected-Oriented analysis and design using UML; Experience in using database such as Oracle and mySQL; Orientation to team-work and problem solving Exposure to, or experience with, Java Web Services JAX-WS technologies, Tomcat, AJAX, JQUERY, JSON; and Agile methodology exposure.

Highly Desirable: Experience with Linux/Unix Operating System environment; Experienced with configuration, release, dependency management of source code using Subversion and Maven; When there is no Python experience, current C/C++ experience will be desired; Demonstrated experience in developing system and technical documentation; and Demonstrated ability to adapt to customers working culture and environment.

Baseline level clearance required or able to obtain one. As defined in the Deed. ASAP 30/6/2012.

GA Central Office, Canberra. Rates - as specified in Schedule 5 of the Deed. Specified Personnel, including sub-contractors, will NOT be required to provide a Confidentiality Deed in the form of Schedule 8 to the Deed. Invoices must be submitted in accordance with the requirements set out in Schedule 5 of the Deed. As specified in clause 17.1. Specified Personnel, including sub-contractors, will be required to provide a Deed of Non-Disclosure in the form of Schedule 6 to the Deed. 1. Facilities, Material and assistance to be provided by GA. 2. No need to write selection criteria, however, an updated CV that addresses the selection criteria and experience will be sufficient. 3. Please use Schedule 4 Quotation Response when responding to this RFQ.
