Philosophy of Education
I believe in the holistic development of children, and that education should encompass academic, physical, social, spiritual and emotional development. I believe in creating an inclusive learning community where diversity is catered for and student achievement is celebrated in all areas. Ballarat Grammar School Undertaking Currently - 2012 Year 4 Placement (8 weeks), In addition to this I have attended Year 4 Camp and staff professional development in Mathlectics, R.E and Mindsets. Supervising Teacher: Mr Blake Curran Currently I am planning inquiry units in literacy, mathematics and integrated. I am also assisting with the organisation of a Sustainability Expo. St Alipius Primary School 2011 Years 5/6 Placement (3 weeks) Supervising Teacher: Miss Lauren Gertners I developed skills in team teaching in an open plan classroom in the areas of literacy, numeracy, religious education, ICT, life/puberty education and Bluearth physical education. I planned and implemented an inquiry based maths unit and behaviour management incentive. St Patricks Primary School 2011 Prep Placement (3 weeks) Ms Jude Gustas I developed skills in literacy, numeracy, ICT, Religious Education and the Perceptual Motor Skills Program. I learnt to use an interactive whiteboard for teaching and planning, observed term planning and report writing. I attended staff meetings, planning meetings and assisted in the creation of learning journals. Mt Clear Kindergarten 2010 Kindergarten (All groups 3 yrs 5ys) (3 weeks) Ms Debbie Finlay I developed skills in planning and implementing appropriate play experiences for 35 year olds both indoor and outdoor, including taking anecdotal notes and planning for childrens interests. I introduced the children to musical notation to create rhythms using percussion instruments. I promoted interactive storytelling through the use of puppets and props and in the outdoor environment I created a dinosaur museum. Girrabanya Kindergarten and Childcare Centre 2009 Childcare Placement (3 weeks) Ms Carli Grant I developed skills in caring for children aged 0 2 years old in a childcare environment, including following the policies and procedures of the centre and implementing appropriate indoor and outdoor play experiences.

Administrative Assistant Student Applications 2008 - 2009 International Office, University of Ballarat I developed time management, administrative and communication skills in processing the enrolment of international students into university courses. Emergency Teachers Assistant 2007 - 2009 Uniting Care Ballarat On an on-call basis I worked at Buninyong, Alfredton and Jubilee Kindergartens with 3 year old and 4 year old groups. Administrative Assistant 2005 - 2006 THAT PLACE Career Resource Centre for 15- 24 year olds Highlands Local Learning and Employment Network (HLLEN) I developed skills in counselling, career planning, preparation of resumes and contingency planning, including linking the young person with external support services and opportunities for education. I was responsible for the completion of Ontrack data collection, which reported on early school leavers. Administrative Assistant 2002 - 2005 Vocational Education and Training (VET) In Schools Highlands Local Learning and Employment Network (HLLEN) I created and maintained a database of VET training for the 15 schools within the VET cluster. I prepared student reports, attendance records, designed and prepared curriculum workbooks and organised the student selection process, board meetings and public information nights. Prior to this, and upon successfully completing Year 12, I have held positions within Education Administration and Hospitality sectors in Australia and Overseas.

Interests
I am an enthusiastic member of the Thursday Night Choir and Handz-on Drumming. I have participated in numerous events such as Tunes for Timor, and the Melbourne Millennium Chorus and Schools Chorus for 2011 and 2012. I also love reading, craft and cooking for my family and friends.
