Abstract:
IC 555 is a precision timer; it can be used as a multivibrator, the output
frequency is set externally by capacitors and resistors.
IC 74193 is a BCD-Up-Down Counter and can be used as a frequency divider
In this project, configured the two IC so that the output square wave of the
555 will be divided by 16 using the 74193 IC

This circuit worked well in reality, except that the delay time is a bit
shorter than calculated; this may be due to the leakage of the capacitor
In my real circuit, I used a 47-μF capacitor and two 1-MΩ resistors
The duty cycle should be: T= 0.693*c*(Ra+2Rb)=0.693*47*3= 98 s
Therefore, the delay time should be 98*16/60= 26 min
But I recorded the delay time to be 22min 36s.
However, this circuit works.
I made another experiment to get longer delay,
