Dear Miss xxxxx,
This letter confirms our discussion last Monday, February 9, 2015 regarding the upcoming end of
your probationary period with the company. Per contract, it shows that it is set to expire on
x(DATE)x. The same contract also calls for an option to continue your employment at our
discretion.
Unfortunately, upon evaluation and consideration of your performance for the past (xx) months,
the company has decided not to continue your employment due to non-compliance with its
Employee Performance Standards.
The company records indicate that, despite several notices, warnings, and memoranda, you have
been repetitively tardy or absent, sometimes even without notice to your superior.
These instances allow the Company to consider the non-continuance of your employment per
Section 3, Article VI, Book One of Its Handbook which you have received, accepted, and have
engaged to abide by, upon your employment.
In this regard, we would like to remind you that you will receive your final pay on (effective
expiration date of probationary period? If earlier, please indicate when). You are also advised to
return any Company, equipment which was provided to you when you started your employment,
on or before the effective date of the end of your probationary period.
We regret that we had to make this decision. We wish you all the best in your career and your
future endeavors.
