TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY

Introduction: As part of the schools aim to promote importance of tree

planting among its students, we were given the chance to plant
one during the schools Field Trip last November 17, 2013.
Objective / Purpose: For students to actively participate in tree planting
activities that can solve a lot of environmental problems such as
flooding, erosion, landslides and the likes caused by excessive
tree cutting, illegal logging, etc. Also, for the future generation to
experience and benefit from the beauty and resources trees
bring to our lives.
Materials: water, baby plants with rich soil
Procedures
1. Take the plant out of the hole where the plant temporarily sits.
2. Carefully take the plastic off containing the soil and the plant
making sure that the roots are still intact.
3. Put the plant back in the hole.
4. Cover the loose spaces with some more soil then tighten them
a bit to keep the plant in place.
5. Water the plant to moisten it, for food.
Data and Analysis: Tree planting is not at all easy. Right education, proper
planning and determination are needed to make this project
successful.
Without the assistance of knowledgeable people,
planting might just turn out to be a futile effort.
Altogether, there were about thirty new plants planted
strategically on that activity. If all these successfully grow into
trees, then chances of saving the Earth is increased. If in a day
and the coming days, there are new plants planted, then the
problem about balding Earth is day by day solved.

Conclusion: Environmental problems can be prevented or lessened by

helping each other. We all caused this problem so we must find
ways to solve this. Whatever we sow, we reap. Cutting off trees
or simply ignoring will bring us to the end roads of our lives. Plant
a tree now and live life.
Recommendation: I believe that if every Filipino is given the chance to
learn and actually plant a tree then they would learn its value to
our lives. I can imagine the Philippines a better place to live in, if
for each Filipino, there is at least one tree planted for him. It is a
good idea that in every home, there is a garden that does not just
beautify it but supplies what the family needs.
