Wednesday Wait Loss 387

Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss! WWL is a place where you can share photos of quilts you’re working on and get encouragement to finish them from our Wednesday Wait Loss group!

First let me tell you what I've been up to

On Wednesday I taped another episode of My Quilty Neighborhood podcast. We are several weeks ahead so it’ll be a while before this one is seen.

On Saturday, I uploaded a new episode to the My Quilty Neighborhood podcast. This time, we turn our focus to perfecting your quarter-inch. This episode focuses on tools that might help.

Also on Saturday I hosted my two hundred and twenty-fourth Saturday Sew-in. Come share what you’re working on while getting to know quilters from around the world at this weekly online sewing retreat. It’s an online quilt guild!

Join us this Saturday for Saturday Sew-in #225 - from 8 AM to 6 PM EST. Come sew with us and make some new quilty friends!

For most of the rest of the week, I worked on repatterning my Starcrossed Too pattern, adding more sizes and AccuQuilt cutting info. The new version of the pattern will debut late August/early September with my second Island Batik collection.

On Tuesday, my July block for Quilt Block Mania debuted. This month the theme was Books, and I designed a block for one of my favorite book series—Harry Potter. Learn how you can get my Hedwig block here.

Because it’s the Fourth of July here in the states, I’m having a sale this week for my Patriot pattern. It is the perfect quilt to make for QOV or to show off your Patriotism! Hurry, the sale ends Sunday.

And that was my week!

Now let’s see who made this week’s feature

Each week on Wednesday Wait Loss I celebrate the linkups that catch my eye. Sometimes it’s a beautiful quilt/quilt top and sometimes it’s a wonderful story about a work in progress. I then feature those projects on the next week’s WWL.

Let’s start with finishes that caught my eye.

Up first is Viridian @ Viridian’s Blog shared her Silk Path quilt, made with reproduction fabrics. Isn’t lovely? Reminds me of a gorgeous Italian marble floor.

Next, Julie @ Julie’s Quilts and Costumes shared this wonderful Orange Peel Rainbow quilt. Those colors simply pop against that black! Love how scrappy this is, especially the background. Lovely!

Karen @ Quilts Etc shared several projects, including this new table runner. Love how colorful this is! What a pretty runner.

Next, Anja @ Anja Quilts shared several projects including this Star Pulse quilt. So pretty! It reminds me of bright neon lights.

And finally, Celine @ Quilting Patchwork Applique shared this cute baby quilt she made for the SAHRR challenge. It looks so soft and cuddly!

Now let’s take a look at the the the works in progress that turned my head. Please stop by each quilter’s blog to leave an encouraging comment so they can celebrate a finish soon!

Up first is Soma @ Ink Torrents Graphics shared this lovely paper pieced block. Soma designed this! Isn’t it wonderful? Love those light fabrics she’s using here.

Next, Marsha @ Marsha’s Spot shared several projects including these pretty little blue crumb blocks. What a beautiful quilt this is going to make.

Donna @ DonnaLeeQ shared several projects, including these pretty little Butterfly blocks. Aren’t they sweet? I love the fabrics she’s used here, especially those pretty florals.

And finally, Jocelyn @ Canadian Needle Nana shared her big stitching on this Star quilt. I so want to do big stitching sometime, and this seems like a perfect way to utilize it. What a great way to add a decorative touch to this simple quilt. Can’t wait to see the finish!

Congratulations quilters!
