Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss!
WWL is a place where you can share photos of quilts you’re working on and get encouragement to finish them from our Wednesday Wait Loss group! As you can see, I’ve been doing this for years (over 400 weeks!) and so our group is strong, loves to share, and is very welcoming.
Here’s how it works. Every week I start out by sharing what I’ve been working on. Then I share the projects from the previous week that most inspired me so that they will inspire you too! This is followed by the actual link up where you can share a photo of your current project. If you are new to linking up, I have a separate page that steps you through the whole process.
What I’ve been up to
I’ve been working on quilts for an Island Batik collection that will debut at the beginning of 2026. I’ve finished the quilt tops—two are quilted and the last one is at the quilter. Yay!
Look for the patterns to be released later this year.
Yesterday I released my latest free block for Quilt Block Mania. Find out how you can get the block pattern for free by reading this post.
On Saturday I hosted my two hundred and fifty first Saturday Sew-in. Come share what you’re working on while getting to know quilters from around the world at this weekly online sewing retreat.
Join us this Saturday for Saturday Sew-in #252 - from 8 AM to 6 PM EST. Come sew with us and make some new quilty friends!
And that was my week!
Now let’s see who made this week’s feature
I’m making changes to WWL for 2025. Beginning this week, I’ll be featuring the quilter that caught my eye.
Last week, a lot of you shared your finishes from 2024 and so many were so worth another look. Here are my favorite quilters.
Up first is Frederique @ Quilting Patchwork Applique who shared these beauties she made in 2024.
Next, Gail @ Quilting Gail shared these lovely quilts and others from 2024.
Preeti @ Sew Preeti Quilts shared these lovely finishes among others.
Next, Deb @ A Scrappy Quilter shared this scrappy top. Isn’t it lovely?
And finally, Gretchen @ Gretchen’s Little Corner shared this gorgeous quilt top. The applique is a perfect compliment to the pieced center, don’t you think?
Time to link up!
It’s time to link up your projects - whether finished or just begun, we want to see them!
Remember!
By linking up, you give me permission to grab a photo or two to share here on Wednesday Wait Loss.
This linky is all about encouragement, so BE SURE TO LEAVE COMMENTS!
If you’re uploading a photo from your phone/computer, don’t forget to leave a comment below that explains your project. And for the rest of us, please reply to a few of these comments leaving words of encouragement for a quick finish.
