this is a hard one to rate. there were things i enjoyed well enough, but as i read on, the more i realised just how many glaring plot holes and continuity errors and odd decisions this book includes (like, are the IPF and their superiors just super incompetent or what). it also felt like it might as well not have been set in space at all but rather in a slightly more dystopic version of america.
