Blood Will Tell (Warriors of Ankh, #1)

I downloaded this book for free on Amazon (thank you again AH for posting that). I’m not going to break it down with Wins and Loses, because it’s not worth it.
This was a decent book for free. I would have been upset if I paid for it. The concept and characters were interesting. I actually really liked both. The plot moved well enough, but ended abruptly. I believe it ended somewhere around the second rising action (I came to that conclusion by reading the first chapter of the second book which is provided at the end of this one). It felt like the author cut it short so she could make a trilogy. If she had read my GR buddy Anila’s essay on trilogies, she would have known you can’t do that. It was a very casual read, which was a nice change for me. The langue didn’t bog it down at all, but I also knew what bands and movies the author liked because they were randomly named.
A light easy read that I would recommend if you got it for free. I wouldn’t pay for it unless you got the entire series in one book.

"It was free on amazon (thanks AH) and had the best star rating of the books I downloaded, so I said what the heck.
It's ok. Feels very indie. not polished. I can tell what bands and movies the author likes, because they are used like they matter.
Story is interesting enough to keep me going."

"The character goes from being a normal teenage girl to spouting Epic promises and Supervillinous curses. It's kind of strange. I get that she doesn't know who she is since it has all changed, but it doesn't feel like character progression...it feels more like bi-polar disorder. Meh, aren't we all though."

"I finished this, it was ok, but it stopped somewhere around the second rising action so it could be made into a trilogy. *thumbs down and farting nosie* (gold star to anyone who can give me the correct onamonapia for that noise)"

*waves* I'm glad you enjoyed this one for *free*. I suspect that's the case for most of the freebies I download.
