This series has ended?
NOOOOOO!!
It honestly doesn't feel like its has ended! I mean we actually get to see the life of Kai and Hiro's daughter Rita unfold! This feels like the beginning of a new series! I really hope Claire decides to continue this series because I felt like I wanted more and more!
As mentioned, this novel is about our past MCs from the first book, Rika, who is the firstborn. But. She is not a moonburner, her powers have not developed, her hair hasn't turned silver, and worse yet she is 17 years old
Their power begin to manifest when they are 14, and do you know who got there powers at 14, who younger brother Koji who is actually 14
He is a proud sunburner and is loving the fact he can rub it in his sisters face
Rika knows her powers will develop, since before she was born it was prophecied that Kai's firstborn child will develop their great power when a great shadow will come to destroy their land
But at 17 and still waiting, she is anxious to get her powers.
But the day when trouble comes, she may want to get her powers, but it may cost her dearly
In this wonderful story, we get to meet new characters, from new worlds, who have different cultures than what we know. I love learning about Vikal's story and culture, it is so rich and mind blowing
I also loved how Vikal and Rika had an instant connection, they didn't fall right away but you could see the changes and glimpses which I really liked
I loved the action we got from this book, it was a good balance of suspense and delivery the action. But I want more!
Really hope this series continues!
Highly recommend this amazing series to all my fantasy lover friends!
Received a copy from the author herself, for an honest review, thank you!
