Weird is good.
I haven't read this yet, but I have read several of the books in the Toby Daye series, which I really liked (also by Seanan McGuire). Those are about the fae (and magic).

Lol, not gonna lie - seeing my name up there makes me nerrrrrvous :D Hope it works out! :)
The October Daye books are really good, but it's another series you have to be patient with. I enjoyed them, but they are not action-packed. It's more about the world-building and story. I think SM does awesome world-building. They get better. Yes, it's another one of *those* series. I swear, it's just the way it is sometimes. You have to soldier through to get to the meat of some series. But, sometimes it pays off and you end up lurving them. Then, when you re-read, you have a new appreciation for what you once thought was just ok.

@Shelly: so you're recommend it while thinking little impatient me will find it boring right? *sighs* Well I'm stubborn and I still want to give it a try;) And who knows, I might even end up loving it haha!
I liked it but I had to push through the first one a bit. I also have a few left to read in that series. I think I got to book 4 or 5. There are some great characters and world-building, in my view at least. :D

You should definitely give Tom Holt a try Sarah, his books are some of the wackiest I've ever read;o)
I really want to read this! But not until after the Way of Kings Buddy Read. I'm pretty sure all of April will be taken up by that, for me.

I shudder every time I think about Way of Kings. I'm really dreading that one. Discount Armageddon sounds great though so I might try to squeeze it in some time in March. I might find enough time if I quit work and stop sleeping.

This really is one of the funniest books I've read in a long time! It's a pretty light read and has a fairly standard UF plot but the characters are great and I love the wackiness of it all:) You should definitely give it a try Gergana;)
