We get multiple moments throughout their history of knowing one another (which by the way is since he was born because she is besties with his older sister), and it all just felt so well developed and like a full-length story vs the novella it actually is.
A holiday novella part of the Under the Mistletoe collection, I binged all 5 of these holiday novellas since they’re all available on KU with read and listen and so so short! One of my favorites in the collection and the longest in this novella collection (but like just barely). ...more

Miles is the CEO of a hotel empire and a grumpy, single dad to his young daughter. Saoirse is the sunshiny nanny he hires to care for his daughter! This is a shorter read, a little longer than a novella, which I do prefer with holiday reads anyways. This is a pretty straight-forward single dad x nanny read with all the usual Christmas cheer, including holiday parties (Narnia-themed). We get some cute sweet moments, some spice, lots of family time, loads of holiday shopping and fun. I wasn’t as into the second half of the story and the plot involving his ex, wasn’t needed or needed lots more groveling, but it is what it is. ...more

I reallllly expected to love this one more than I sadly did. I always have a fun time with this author’s writing, so this was definitely steamy and entertaining, but I really felt like the writing was more rushed than usual and just ended up wanting more from these character’s and their story in the end.
This is a spin-off from the Windsors series, which I’ve had a great time with. Basically in this, Serenity wants to lose her virginity and the guy she’s interested in is Archer, her older brother’s billionaire best friend…who also happens to be her boss! So this has a deal made with lessons and fun times. Some cute, sweet moments I liked: he loves surprising her and takes her on trips (keukenhof tulip fields), buys her treats she loves (heart shaped donuts) and starts cooking for her, gets her favorite flowers (pink tulips), buys her painting supplies, and helps mark things off her “bucket list”. He’s a billionaire and love spoiling her, so he gets to do fun things like buying her favorite ice cream chain and the coffee shop too (cause he wants her to have access to anything she wants, at any time)! I just wanted a little bit more with these characters and less of the plot around a certain someone who comes into play in the latter part of the story. Overall a decent read, but I’ve just loved so many more from this author more. The cover is a stunner though! ...more

Months later she runs into him again, as he’s her new boss at the law firm! Dawson is a lawyer by day and a tattoo artist by night! It kind of had elements of a fake relationship as well since the couple has to pretend like they’re in love and be engaged leading up to their arranged wedding. Hero is a billionaire and is forced into an arranged relationship with his enemy’s daughter!
Dante Russo thrives on control, both personally and professionally. The billionaire CEO never planned to marry—until the threat of blackmail forces him into an engagement with a woman he barely knows….Vivian Lau, jewelry heiress and daughter of his newest enemy. Vivian is a luxury event planner in Manhattan and finds out her father has arranged a marriage for her with billionaire hotshot, Dante. They end up moving in together quickly to make their relationship look real, but Dante wants a long engagement to be able to find/destroy the blackmail and end the relationship too. Her family is “new money” and her parents are thrilled to have her marrying into his family.
I loved the forced proximity of them living in his house together. All the running into one another, there is a fun midnight snack run-in when they bump into one another in the kitchen (her snack choice: pringles, pickles, and pudding. His snack choice: soy sauce drizzled over ice cream). I like how he calls her “mia cara” right from the start. She says right away they should get to know one another and go on some dates, which was cute to see them do. I liked how he’s a possessive and protective hero! We do get a cameo of Christian (and Stella) from Twisted Lies (this book takes place during the same time/overlaps). We get a fun thanksgiving trip to Bali to see his parents.
I felt like this book moved fast and wasn’t unnecessary long (like a few of the Twisted books were). I feel like we do see things happen on-page but a lot happens off-page too. I wasn’t really into something that pulls them apart, I felt like her response was a bit much for something that was arranged. But I did like how it didn’t last for too long and how more of a pursuer he becomes.

Cash aIf You Give a Billionaire a Bride is a marriage of convenience, brother’s best friend, billionaire romance that starts off with a Vegas wedding!
Cash and Everly grew up around one another as he was her twin brother Theo’s best friend. Warned against making a move on her in highschool, they were always close instead and even had a marriage pact in highschool, that if they’re both single by the time they’re 30, they’ll get married to one another! Now it’s years later, they’ve haven’t seen one another since highschool, but end up running into each other in Las Vegas! Drinks are poured, the marriage pact is brought up, and they wake up married! Because of business deals between their families, they end up keeping the marriage even after Vegas when they return back home to London.
I adored these two together! They were so cute and I loved how he was so into her and wanting to spoil her and give her the world. His family is super cute and has been featured throughout the series as well. Emma is 25 and feeling like her life still hasn’t come together, in the midst of what she’s proclaiming as a “quarter-life crisis” she ends up in the Hamptons alone (courtesy of her friend Winnie offering up her house) to figure out her life. The first night there she hears about a big party at the country club and decides to crash, which is where she meets NFL player Preston! He literally catches her when she jumps over the gate to crash his sister’s wedding arrival party and a couple hours later they’re fake dating. He claimed she was his girlfriend to get away from someone at the party, then it snowballed from there when his sister overheard about his “girlfriend” and invited Emma to all the wedding festivities and introduced her to their Gram!
This was so cute and spicy and fun! I loved Emma and her attitude towards everything, it was so fun seeing her become a sensation on social media when she shares her struggles with figuring out life in a video she accidentally posts online. She ends up using the summer to post daily video check-ins, as well as enjoy her time with Preston. He ends up staying in the guesthouse of the property while they pretend to be dating. Forgotten Desires is a small town, billionaire, marriage of convenience, with a single dad and second chance! This is also the 4th (and final) standalone book in the Whitlock Family series, which I had such a great time with. This book was such an easy one to get pulled into and I really did love it!
Brynlee is the youngest in the Whitlock family, her older brothers have all had books in the series and we’ve seen her featured throughout. Having read the whole series, I loved the appearances of all her brothers and their partners and growing families: Rowan (Charlotte), Grady (Addison), and Asher (Phoebe).
At the beginning of the story Brynlee is attending one of her brother’s weddings and Brynlee is shocked when his new boss shows up and it is someone she loved in her past (under a different name). Crew (aka Carson) is someone Brynlee fell hard and fast for over a decade ago during a college spring break. They both have thought about one another for years and can’t believe they’re in one another’s lives again. Crew is a billionaire trying to gain custody of his 4-year old daughter. When he’s caught in photos spending time with Brynlee and his lawyer suggests he uphold a more wholesome image for custody hearings, he ends up proposing a marriage of convenience! Help him with winning custody of his daughter and he’ll help Brynlee when she has surgery to give her father a portion of her liver.
I adored Brynlee’s character. She’s someone who loves hard and always wants to save everything she can. On top of helping her father whom she has a complicated past with, she also runs an animal sanctuary in her beloved small town of Sugarloaf, and cares for everyone around her. Crew is equally as amazing, I loved how he wants to support and care for her in all ways: from her surgery care to buying a bigger better chicken coop for her farm, to spoiling her with trips and presents. We also get the micro-trope of him having a tattoo for her! This book was sweet and their second chance was easy to fall in love with, the last kind of conflict for the story wasn’t really my fav, but otherwise a solid addition to the series! I’m real excited for the new series coming next!

Moonlit Thorns is the first book in the Midnight Manor series and this was just so addictive and fun! This is a dark contemporary romance retelling of Beauty and the Beast with gothic vibes and has alllll the tropes: alpha billionaire anti-hero, age gap (she’s 22, he’s 36), opposites attract (bad boy/good girl), enemies to lovers, forced proximity, secret society (including BDSM), tortured hero, and more! If you love a BaTB retelling, this hits that perfectly!
The story kicks off with Anabelle receiving an eviction notice after her father’s death for her beloved home. She goes to the Voss mansion, Midnight Manor, to plead for her family’s home and runs into Asher Voss. Anabelle says she’ll do anything to save her home and Asher offers her a bargain: he’ll give her back her home if she comes to live in his manor and works for him for a year. Anabelle agrees and quickly learns there is more than meets the eye when it comes to broody, tortured, bad boy Asher, as well as with Midnight Manor. She finds out about a secret that Asher and his brothers are a part of and decides she wants to join them as well!
This was just so delicious and fun! The story is fast-paced and I loved the chemistry between the couple. The backstories were well-developed, all the side characters were great, the steam was steaming, and this was just all around entertaining! The tease at the end for the next book sounds so good too and I’m just so excited to continue on!
The audiobook narration in particular really added to the overall vibe and feel of this story! It’s a duet narration and I loved the narrators, Rose Dioro and Marcio Catalano. I really love this group of characters, the bro friendship we get with the 3 heroes in the series is so fun. This has a lot of forced proximity since Sydney is such a big part of their everyday life and runs their schedules. She lives in the same building as them and travels with Parker a lot in this book, we even get some only one bed time. Omg this was sooo good! I was immediately pulled in from the first sentence, this book and the characters grabbed onto me and never let go. Absolutely my fav in this series so far, my fav from this author, and a fav read of the year as well! This is a marriage in trouble, second chance romance, with a billionaire hero. The angst and pain and emotions were everything in this read!
Alessandra Davenport has played the role of trophy wife for years, she stood by her husband while he built an empire, but now that they’ve reached the top, she realizes he’s no longer the man she fell for. Dominic clawed his way from nothing to the “King of Wall Street”. He has everything: a beautiful home, beautiful wife, and more money than he could spend in his lifetime…but he’s never satisfied. In his endless quest of “more”, he drives away his wife Alessandra…the one who always saw him as enough.
When Dom misses their 10 year anniversary, Alessandra has had enough and decides she wants a divorce. I was just obsessed with this story. I loved how we get flashbacks woven throughout the story, we get to see how they first met, their falling for one another, their marriage, and all the good days they had before it started slipping away. They really grew apart and it hurts once Dom realizes how little he knows about Alessandra anymore. He starts to realize the things she wanted, what their marriage needed, were things their money can’t buy…time, attention, consideration. Dom is willing to do WHATEVER it takes to win Alessandra back. If you are a fan of grovel, pick this book up. I was just along for this journey and felt all the emotions with this couple!...more

Xavier Castillo is charmingThis was good! This has a billionaire hero, forced proximity, grumpy sunshine (she’s the grump), and the hero falls first!
Xavier Castillo is charming and wealthy, he’s part of a billionaire family but has no interest in taking over his family’s empire. His father ends up hiring Sloane to be Xavier’s publicist and that’s how they first meet. Right from the start, Xavier loves riling up Sloane and does it often! He ends up making a deal with her where basically she has to go on a vacation with him if he does what she needs him to do. Things start to heat up on the trip as they get to know one another more and then after everything changes when Xavier’s father passes away and the will is read…
Xavier finds out he has to become CEO or risk losing his family’s billions. He and Sloane spend a ton of time working together so there is definitely lots of forced proximity in this one. I love a prickly heroine and Sloane is definitely that. She has reasons for being guarded and might come off cold, but she has massive love for her younger sister who has CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome). I liked how he calls her Luna and just is sooo into her the whole time. I will say the middle kinda slowed down for me and it started to lag a bit. I loved the previous book, King of Greed, in this series so much and this one just didn’t live up to that. But a solid addition to the series! ...more

She has an interior design show and he also builds/renovates houses so they do connect over that. Chase Our Forever is “She’s my sunshine on a cloudy day, and I hadn’t realized how much I missed the sunshine. How much I really needed it…until her.”
Chase Our Forever is a small town, grumpy x sunshine, single dad x nanny, billionaire, age gap, slow burn romance, and I had the best time! I love the Sutten Mountain series so much, I know this author’s billionaire series gets all the love, but this small town series is seriously so good too!
“Don’t spend today alone, Liv. You don’t have to be alone anymore.”
Dean & Liv, and his daughter Clara were so cute and perfect together and I’m so glad they found one another! Liv just moved to the small town of Sutten Mountain and on her first day in town she stops at Wake and Bake for coffee and snacks. There she meets a frazzled Dean and his cutie daughter Clara! She finds out that Dean is without a nanny and in desperate need, so next thing she knows her “just-passing through town” ends up in a job interview and offer to move to town!
This was just so sweet and cute! If you enjoy single dad x nanny romances, then this gives all those vibes! Dean lost his wife when their daughter Clara was just 2 months old and Liv comes into their life 3 years later. Dean starts off a bit closed off, but his strong connection with Liv has him opening up to her. Liv has had to look after herself since she was young, so I love seeing her just seamlessly fit into their family and I loved all their time together! The pumpkin festival, Sunday lunch with his family (who are all the sweetest), it’s age gap (she’s 23, he’s 35), he has nightmares, the laundry room scene, Honey the dog, seeing all the characters/couples from the series, and alllll the nicknames (Livvy, Clare Bear, Honey Bear, Sunshine)!
I received an ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own. You can read the whole series on KU and I definitely recommend you do!...more
Pretty Rings & Broken Things is an arranged marriage, billionaire, age gap romance in Kat Singleton’s Black Ties series and this was such a fun time! Pretty Rings & Broken Things is an arranged marriage, billionaire, age gap romance in Kat Singleton’s Black Ties series and this was such a fun time!
Winnie Bishop and Archer Moore are from feuding families, basically his great grandfather got screwed over by her great grandfather in what was supposed to be a hotel partnership decades ago and their families haven’t let it go. The story kicks off with Winnie getting betrayed by someone she thought she was falling for who threatens to go to the media with photos and videos. Her dad steps in and goes to his enemy to ask a favor…the Moore family has more sway and power over the media and could stop the press from running the story. In exchange, Winnie and Archer will be married…tomorrow!
“When you’re my wife, no one will touch what’s mine.”
This just delivers on everything it promises! The arranged marriage, having to learn about one another quickly to “sell” their sudden relationship, the billionaire vibes (both are from wealthy luxury hotel empire families and price is no object), “my wife” energy from Archer, him falling first (and hard), and all the “don’t talk about my wife like that” energy! We see her friends make appearances in this one (the couples of Black Ties & White Lies and Tempt Out Fate make appearances). We also get a fun Hamptons trip with only 1 bed, mile high club, and all the steamy times Kat delivers on! The chemistry between Archer and Winnie is just easy, no angst, fun times, and him ready to spoil her at every turn. What’s not to like!
