What do you mean by "no paranormal powers"? Do you mean the protagonist can't have magic-based powers or no one can have magic powers? If so, what defines them as magic? Or are you trying to distinguish the difference between a wizard/witch style-powered characters/setting with a superhero one? Or is this broader then that, including psychics and elementalists?

I have a hard time imagining superheroes/villains without "paranormal powers" outside of a realistic-type setting. (Though it can be done, as DC comics has proved.) I'd imagine this list would be a lot shorter if they were specifically restricted in that sense. Assuming everyone followed that rule, anyways.

I think they mean no Urban Fantasy. In other words, if the only 'powers' in your world comes from magic (i.e. vampires, werewolves etc) then you're not a superhero book. The definition of superhero is pretty clear. I don't think they mean no magic based heroes though.

Removed duplicates and non-superhero books which included several zombie, horror, and paranormal detective novels.

Hard Magic and Spellbound by Larry Correia can be removed, they are magic-related. Both are on the first page of this list.

Removed both along with a couple of comic books.
