About this audiobook

They say to keep your friends close but your enemies closer;

What if they’re one and the same?

The stable foundation I thought I’d built in the Sanctuary has been ripped away, and I find myself on the front lines of the war against the Resistance. I might have my Bonds on my side, but there are darker schemes in motion.

Can I prove myself and turn the tide to protect our most vulnerable, or am I nothing more than the monster they’ve always claimed I am?

Will we make it out of this without tragic consequences?

What our readers think

Readers find this title to be a thrilling and addictive series with twists and turns. The plot keeps getting thicker with reveals and the bond entities add a shady feeling to the story. The steamy scenes in the book are intense and heart-sinking moments keep readers on the edge. However, some reviewers find the repetitive scenes and inner monologue of the main character to be boring and whiny. Despite this, the series overall keeps readers hooked and eager for the next book.

This series HAS BEEN THE BEST I HAVE EVER READ!!! And the only thing I can think to elevate it better is the main narrator in the graphic audiobooks adaptation of Fourth Wing would be Olly… it would be chef kiss and cherry on top… Honestly not many books can maintain my attention… but this one… this one I can come back time and time again and re read like it’s the first time…

I'm a bit ambiguous about this one.

So we ended last one on a cliffhanger, on this one, there's still no real answer for that, they think they know what has happened, but they have no proof or seem to make any efforts to find said proof. We don't know exactly what and how it happened, and this seems to have gone into the background.

I find that if I skip all the harem situations, I'm fine ?
We completed the bond group in this one, although the way that it happened was a bit weird, I have to say! I made myself listen to the whole thing and was just forced, so I was sad. I was hoping for more with these characters.

Then, to make matters worse, one of the bonds has died in the very end!! No, no, this is not ok, I wanted this bond the most, I wanted the slow burn, the trust, the trauma, everything, and he is dead!? I'm not happy ?

That wasn’t supposed to end this way….
I’m not yet tired of this story, so that is a testament to the retiring.

There's so many twist and turns in this series, Forced Bonds let's loose on a hell of lot more. Just when I thought there couldn't be anymore, J. Bree proves me wrong! I'm trying to figure out which direction she's trying to go and trying to figure out the mystery behind what's happening because what I've just read can't be true.

This series just continues to get better and better. The plot keeps getting thicker with reveals and connecting up pieces of the story. More reveals we're made with the bond entities and I have a bit of a shady feeling about what's actually going on and their intentions. Final bonds start to form and it's great seeing the unit finally come together.

The steam in this book?! It goes up another level all together and I was sweating.

My heart sank at a certain point and we're left on a right cliffhanger!!!!

These books just get better and better.

We start this book with the betrayal of Sage that we read about at the end of the previous book, and Ollie spends a good portion of the book trying to prove her innocence even when all evidence says she's very much guilty.

We have the issue of the bonds being formed that we're still dealing with, and as per usual we are dealing with Nox being a dickhead.

There's a lot of exciting things going on, and we get to experience them all in all of their violent and spicy glory.

The male narrator’s lisp made the audio version insufferable to get through. Why on earth did they decide on him?

This series started out strong but the third book was boring and the fourth is shaping up to be about the same. The FMC is whiny and juvenile. She has so much repetitive inner monologue that I find my self saying OKAY I GET IT CAN WE JUST MOVE ON! The words bond, bonds and bonded are said dozens, of not hundreds of times. There are many other words that could have been used to add variety. Also, the female narrator needs to chill.

Does anyone know why these books aren’t considered erotica? Really unbelievable to me that this series isn’t considered erotica. I’ve listened to books considered erotica and the sexual content did not hold a candle to the content in this series. Also, I don’t remember reading anything that indicated this was a reverse harem. I think one woman and five men and all of them are having sex with her would be considered a reverse harem… I think. And for them to refer to her as a kid, want to treat her like a child but then want to have sex with her?! It’s so cringe.
