About this audiobook

#1 BESTSELLING GLOBAL PHENOMENON

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking book that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable read.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.

At least, he’s not a beast all the time.

As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find
a way to stop it or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

If I could read a book & wipe it completely from memory so I could read it again, it would be this one.
One of my favorite books. Ever.

    Entertaining.
The relationships are toxic, apparently a requirement for romance novels, yet... It has enough action, mystery and drama. Entertaining.
Although... This Tamlin makes my eyes roll quite a lot.

I was truly shocked at how the events in the book had turned out in a good way. Hearing an audiobook definitely added suspense in the story.

This is my second time reading this book and I love it even more than the first time. I can visualize all of the characters and the courts, I can smell the flowers and feel the wind as their described in the books. To me, that’s what makes it such a great read time and time again. On to book two again!!

The story has an interesting plot. I enjoyed the story overall. I like how the author setup the story and hinted at what is to come for the next books.
I had to listen to audiobook version because the story is a little wordy for my taste. Unfortunately I get bored easily. I listened to it between 1.2x speed and1.5x speed.

This was refreshing, a great story. But at the same time, low key, i feel like this could have been told in less words maybe?

I loved the book when I read it and wanted to listen to it. However, I didn’t really care much for the voice actor. I don’t know if it was my speakers or what, but to me it didn’t sound like professional audio quality, and I was not able to focus on the story.

If you are looking for some softcore erotica involving furries than you are in the right place. Tamlin, the main love interest, did not do much for me, but Rysand is highly promising as a Damon type character from Vampire Diaries.

Man. I should've written this review before I started the second book. So I'm trying to keep my mind on only the first. ??
It took me a bit to get into it. A bit to understand what was happening. But once I was there, I was there. And I don't ever want to leave. I am so sad that I waited so long to start this series.
Normally, my review would be longer, buuuut I'm too far into the second to have the same opinions as I did when I finished this one. ?

Like everyone I heard of ACOTAR and wasn't sure if it worth all the hype. It definitely starts slow but that slow definitely draws you in and makes you interested in learning more. Before I even reached the end of the book I was ready to start the next book in the series. Definitely one to check out.
