About this audiobook

"For over twenty years, I've been lied to--magic burns within my veins, and I'm unable to resist its call."

Mirella wants to be a normal college student ... but she's far from normal. Since she was born, her mother has been hiding the truth. Mirella is a descendent of a powerful bloodline that spans centuries, a bloodline that gives her an uncontrollable sixth sense.

Masked men desire her blood. Strangers long for her to join their cause, and a gorgeous man with magic of his own seeks to forge a forbidden bond between them.

For Mirella, there is no escape. Bodies surface, and killers run rampant as her people are hunted and slaughtered. Mirella is the only one who can save them. Trapped in a life she doesn't want, Mirella must find the strength to summon the power inside of her--or risk the extinction of her kind.

An exciting and heart stopping urban fantasy novel, Heart Seeker is the first book in the brand-new series, The Fire Heart Chronicles. With plenty of romance, intrigue, and mystery, readers will love this supernatural new adult tale featuring a strong heroine that's equal parts dark and magical.

What our readers think

Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. Some appreciate the potential of the premise and the beautiful mix of real and fantasy elements. However, many reviewers express disappointment with the characters, finding them unbearable, cliché, and whiny. The lack of determination in the main character and the trite dialogue are also mentioned as drawbacks. Despite these flaws, some readers still find the story entertaining. Overall, the book has potential but falls short in its execution.

The characters are okay in this first book, but they only get harder to connect with. A lot of the dialog is trite in that characters seem to have situations happen to them where their conclusions should be obvious, but they seem to need paragraphs of internal dialogue to explore. The main character is seriously lacking in any kind of determination for anything in both her lengthy inner dialogues as well as her actions. Several chapters into the next book it’s become so painful to listen to that I quit. I would just quit and not bother to explain, but the premise of the books has real potential. Even the characters Could be compelling with some tweaking. That’s what makes the second book even more disappointing in its downhill slide.

The story had potential, I love the idea of the romani culture background, but the characters are absolutely unbearable.

Try to start the second book to see if goes better, but nope...Everyone pine for the whining and self centred protagonist after 2 and half minutes for no reason, everyone is just super hot and she just keep run away as only childish solution. the end.
