About this audiobook
All Hanna Heikkinen wants is to be reunited with her father again. After all, that's why she ventured into the dark and dangerous fantasy world of Tuonela, the Land of the Dead, in order to save his life. But this time her devotion to her father comes at a cost—her growing relationship with Tuoni, the God of Death himself, who held Hanna captive in exchange for her father's life. The last thing she expects is to feel remorse, yet the dark and sexy God is all she can think about.
Death has always prided himself on never trusting the living, but Hanna's apparent betrayal has left a scar fathoms deep. Vowing revenge on his future bride, and making sure she upholds her end of the bargain, Death sets out across his realm to steal Hanna back. But Death and Hanna aren't just fighting each other—malevolent Old Gods are rising to power within the realm, magic is being poisoned, and buried secrets are brought to light, secrets that may cause Hanna to lose everyone she loves dear once again.
Contains mature themes.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. While the story itself is enjoyable and spicy, the male voice actor in the audiobook is a major drawback. Many reviewers found his speech pattern to be unnatural and over-dramatic, making it difficult to listen to. Some even considered not listening to the book because of it. Despite this, the book still deserves a rating of 4 stars for its fun and engaging story. Potential readers may want to consider reading the book instead of listening to the audiobook.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The book is pretty good, but the male audio reader was simultaneously robotic and over dramatic. It’s hard to listen to him. It’s literally like a robot doing a Dracula impersonation.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5What is up with the male voice? His speech pattern was so unnatural and hard to follow. Should I be concerned that it finished the editing process and everyone thought. "This is fine." The story itself deserves 4 stars. It's fun and spicy. Maybe read the book instead?

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Worst male audiobook performance I have ever endured. I didn't love the female performance in the first book either, but was excited to see there was a multi pov in this book. But good gods it sounded like he recorded each sentence separately and there was no cohesion. Overly dramatic, and when acting out dialogue between characters he rambled through it one breath like the whole dialogue was one sentence. Awful. Book I'd give 3.5 stars though
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The book itself wasn't too bad. I wish there was more emotional depth but the spicy scenes were nice. The MC's internal monologue was annoying at times. The main thing that bothered me though was the male voice actor. I almost decided not to listen to the book because of it. The male voice sounds like he's overacting or something. It was painfully slow and the speech pattern was not natural at all. I think I could have enjoyed it more if it weren't for that.
