About this audiobook

Christopher Turner has woken up in terrible situations before. A veteran of both war and a frat house, he’s used to waking up at the drop of a hat, to something he didn’t fall asleep to and some place he didn’t fall asleep in. But this — in the middle of an otherwise empty forest with only the clothes on his back, half of his memories gone, and a panicked, twitchy civilian — is definitely the worst way he’s ever woken up.

Turner doesn’t know where he’s at or how he’s gotten here. He doesn’t know if he trusts Ambrose, the rugged, sarcastic, and petrified passenger on this trip from hell. But the one thing he does know is that he’s going to figure it out — and he’s going to get home to his daughter. As the mysteries of the forest start to unveil themselves, and Ambrose becomes more and more intertwined with the answers, Turner’s got a lot to figure out and not a lot of time to do it.

Follow Turner and Ambrose on their journey to the truth — and to each other.

This queer paranormal suspense romance is about finding the truth, and a reason to live, no matter the cost.

A three because right at the end. There is a smile worthy moment. Otherwise I would not recommend this at all. It also needs a trigger warning because that aspect of it is not cute to those of us who are freshly grieving. This is just not the story you think it will be. It's confusing and frustrating right up until the last two chapters. Which honestly. It feels more of an irritatable eye roll once you know whats going on... Rather than a eureka moment revelation. I did not enjoy the unfolding of this at all.

Well paced. Well revealed. I was SO close to knowing what was about to happen all the time. It is like it was written just for ME to read. Wonderful and amazing. Thank you.

Amazing story, so different from anything I have read before! I was breathless! I tried to pick where the plot was going, but I was certainly surprised!

The twists and turns, the soft romance, the happy ending I loved it. Definitely nothing I imagined it would be.

I almost stopped listening half way through thinking there wasn’t gonna be a happy ending. Happy I finished it ?

There’s literally nothing better than listening to IMT’s soft queer romances while walking my dog. I have no thoughts really. This was just very beautiful, as always.

Unexpected twists and turns that leaves you a bit confused but then brings you right back on track. Nice likeable characters. The story doesn't focus in great detail on the characters backstory, more so on what is happening now, with some backstory coming to the surface, that mostly leaves more unanswered questions about their individual backstory. The narrator was nice, although the voice for one character changed along with the story witch was a bit confusing. All in all, a good book, suspense, romance, death, life, happy ending - worth the read.

This was one of the best plots I've experienced. I can't wait for the next installment.

This was not the story I thought it would be. Really different from other works of hers that I read. This one is a strange mystery, intentionally disarming and confusing. It's not bad, but not what I was looking for. And a bit triggering because it deals with a topic that can easily get me into unhappy brain spirals. The characters are wholesome and it's a good story, but not right for me.

I don't even know how to put this story into words without giving any spoilers. I loved it. After a few chapters, I thought I had an idea what was going on but I was only about half right and yet not really at all. There are so many twists and emotional moments. I had to take a break at one point because I wanted to cry (okay maybe I was in fact already crying). I really wasn't sure how it would be able to have a happy ending. But oh, it did. That ending was the cherry on top of it all. Definitely need to to save this one to listen to again eventually. I am looking forward to checking out the next book in the series
