About this audiobook
Watching your rival get all the lucky breaks would make anyone a little bitter.
As teenagers, Ben Yandas and Caleb Ronson started their musical careers at the same open mic nights in Sacramento. But in the decade-plus since then, their paths have diverged. Caleb rocketed to indie stardom when he was just fourteen and now performs to sold-out crowds screaming his name. Meanwhile, Ben eked out a meager living as a musician for a few years but never made it big, and eventually, exhausted, gave up and became a music journalist instead.
When Ben is offered his first feature assignment, he knows that, for the sake of this new career he's trying to build, he has to take it. Even if it means going along on a multi-week concert tour with a notoriously difficult musician. Even if that musician is Caleb Ronson, the person who got everything Ben wanted.
But Ben and Caleb have more to offer each other than either of them realizes, both musically and emotionally. They just have to navigate the tensions of their past — and the journalistic ethics that will put Ben's career at risk if he gets involved with Caleb.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Gave up after ten mins. Awful narrator shame as looked like a good story line
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Ok. The narrator isn't great. I couldn't take it and gave up.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5No
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very sweet. I love the very matter of fact trans main characters. I love the enemies to lovers and the music was fun. I never wanted it to end.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Agggghh. I couldn’t get any further than the first 7 mins of this because of the HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE narration. This is that guy who does those horrible YouTube videos where they talk about ridiculous things we ‘missed’ in Harry Potter or something. Stop please with the HORRIBLE narrators. Have a listen to Joel Leslie and you will see how it should be done.
