Technologies have reached the classroom. It is one of the means of teaching strategies nowadays. Multimedia projectors have become one of the teaching tools the teacher cannot bear without it. The concept of making this tool to be interactive and easier to use was far conceived by the researcher. The researcher's objective was to develop such tool and evaluate it according to its portability, simplicity, robustness, user-friendliness, effectiveness and efficiency. The respondents of the project were both the students and teachers of Batangas State University ARASOF-Nasugbu. The researcher has developed different prototypes for the interactive pen and tested in different environment and demonstrated the "know-how" of the project. The project was built using a simple infrared light emitting diode (IR LED), infrared tracker, and software which computes, detects and interact with the application program. Evaluation of the project followed the demonstration. The project got a high acceptance according to its portability, simplicity, robustness, user-friendliness, effectiveness and efficiency. The researcher is recommending the full implementation of the project in the Batangas State University ARASOF-Nasugbu and for better enhancement of the project by eliminating the pen.

Based on preliminary investigation data by interviewing animal structure lecturers and students from IAIN Batusangkar, it is known that there are obstacles in animal structure lectures, one of which is related to the learning media used, so students have difficulty understanding lecture material. This paper describes the uses of interactive whiteboard in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) primary classroom. The purpose is to explore the potential of the Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) as a learning pedagogical tool to support the development of primary school students‟ ability to reach a considerable level while learning in their classes. Additionally, this paper tries to answer the following questions: First, what is an interactive whiteboard? Second, how can interactive whiteboards promote student engagement? Third, what are the interactive whiteboard activities in the EFL classroom? O artigo apresenta o desenho e desenvolvimento de um protótipo Web multimédia organizado para auxiliar os professores de matemática a usarem algumas das ferramentas do ActivInspire na produção de recursos pedagógicos para o Quadro Interativo Multimédia (QIM). Na fase da análise exploratória recolhemos dados sobre as necessidades de formação em TIC e particularmente em QIM. Tendo por base os dados obtidos e os referenciais teóricos existentes, foi desenhado e construído o protótipo. Ao longo deste processo realizaram-se testes de avaliação da usabilidade com peritos e com o público-alvo no sentido de o adequar a esse público. Com os resultados destes testes de usabilidade podemos afirmar que o protótipo respondeu às necessidades dos professores, despertando-lhes interesse por utilizar esta tecnologia e realizar formação nesta área. Palavras-chave: Quadro interativo, multimédia, tecnologias, ambientes de aprendizagem, ensino The paper presents the design and development of a Web multimedia prototype organized to help math teachers in using some ActivInspire tools to produce resources for the Interactive Multimedia Whiteboard (IMW). In the analysis phase we collected data on training needs in ICT, particularly in IMW. Based on the data obtained and on the state-of-art, we designed and developed the prototype. In this process, usability tests with experts and with users were conducted. Based on the results of usability testing, we can say the prototype met the needs of teachers, arousing their interest in using this technology and in undertaking training in this area.
