The COVID-19 pandemic along with the restrictions that were introduced within Europe starting spring 2020 allows for the identification of predictors for relationship quality during unstable and stressful times.The present study began as strict measures were enforced in response to the rising spread of the COVID-19 within Austria, Poland, Spain and Czech Republic. Here, we investigated quality of romantic relationships among 313 participants as movement restrictions were implemented and subsequently phased out cross-nationally. We are still left with the issue of characterising what counts as successful outcome in sex therapy. The aim of this paper is to report the progress of the outcome measurement project initiated by the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists. In this report, I have reviewed the existing literature to answer the following question: “Does there currently exist a validated evaluation tool (or a package of tools) by which the effectiveness and success of sex therapy in dealing with sexual problems can be measured and demonstrated?”. I start with discussing some of the key dilemmas in relation to measuring outcomes in sex therapy and arrive at a conceptual framework to address this. I finish with suggesting a few measurement tools that can be utilised in this regard.

They are our sisters, mothers, neighbors, and friends. They are the women whose marriages you think are “good”—or at minimum “fine.” But they are also the women who are online prowling for secret lovers to fulfill sexual desires and untapped passions. They did not “fall” into this. They weighed their options. And then they sought out and took a lover. And they’ve granted us a peek into their minds, psyches, and worlds.
Using a sample collected from Ashley Madison, a niche online dating site catering to married individuals seeking an affair partner, this book is the result of a yearlong inquiry into women’s extramarital experiences. Ultimately, these women reject the binary proposition of marriage that assumes that either we work on our marriages and remain monogamous within them, or we break up the relationship and take up other relationships. These women conceive of an alternate solution to a marriage that is not wholly working, where their own needs are ignored, unmet, and not prioritized. Thus, the women in this study are engaging in secret defiance of the expectations of marriage and primary partnerships. Many felt at the end of their capacity to endure in their primary partnership when they first sought an outside partner.
These women spoke of their primary partnerships as spaces of constraint, and their roles (“wives,” “girlfriends,” and “fiancée”) as limiting and restrictive. They spoke of their participation in outside partnerships as an exercise of power through autonomy and personal authority that their role as “wife” did not permit. These women were not mate-shopping, and most did not categorize their outside partnerships as ones of “love,” but as relationships of sexual utility. Outside partners provided much needed sexual release for women whose appetites exceeded their primary partner’s, or whose marriage was sexless. These women believed that their affairs helped them manage their emotional life and emotional responses to their primary partners, and ultimately enabled them to remain and endure in their primary partnerships.

While past studies have measured several indicators of relationship quality in relation to types of relationship agreement, most have not included polyamorous relationships, and have almost exclusively included samples of gay men. The purpose of this study was to address this gap by examining five dimensions of relationship quality and eight dimensions of relationship equity in a sexually diverse Canadian sample (N = 3463) across three types of relationship agreements (monogamous, open, and polyamorous). The data were collected online as part of a larger study. In order to compare relationship types on relationship dimensions, MANCOVAs were computed using age, relationship duration, cohabitation status, sex, sexual orientation, and an interaction term of sex and sexual orientation as control variables. High scores of relationship quality and equity were reported by the overall sample, and scores on all scales did not significantly differ by types of relationship agreement. Overall, these results strongly suggest that these types of relationship agreements are equally healthy viable options.

The viewing of pornography is a common activity within the sexual lives of couples, whether this is engaged in solitary viewings (without the partner present), or as a mutual activity. However little has been ascertained as to how pornography may affect romantic relationships in factors such as expectations about prospective relationships, aggression or violence towards sexual partner and overall relationship satisfaction.

Findings in this review have indicated that exposure to pornography from adolescence has been correlated with developing subsequent beliefs about norms within sex and intimacy that are more in-line with behaviours displayed within pornography. Examples of such are permissive attitudes towards sex, and condoning the use of violence as part of sexual intercourse. This is consistent attitudinal studies- where those whom are more frequent users of pornography are more tolerant or accepting of violence against women. However, the link between perpetration of crimes such as sexual assault and rape and exposure to pornography is not significant.

In regards to relationship satisfaction, increased usage of pornography has been associated with lower sexual satisfaction and commitment. It can additionally be detrimental towards the female partner’s self-esteem and perception of their body image. Overall, pornography consumption is associated with poor relationship satisfaction, however the manifestation of effects are influenced by risk factors such as viewing paraphillic content and prolonged exposure.

The texts display a psychodynamic scenario for sexual encounters between men and women wherein the woman is staged in her full potency, as emitting fluids and ejaculating, as experiencing uncontrolled muscular spasms and having immense pleasure (kuài 快) during the enfolding events. Male ejaculation is seen as a short-time pleasure (zàn kuài 暫快); it is considered better to avoid it, and instead attempt to stay in an intermediate state of bliss, and eventually to experience illumination, by way of controlled counter-measures and by being fully focused to female bodily signs, to which the male partner should be prepared to react adequately.

Resumen
El objetivo de este estudio fue examinar la fiabilidad, estructura factorial y algunos indicadores de validez de la escala de satisfacción sexual subjetiva en una muestra de adultos puertorriqueños. La satisfacción sexual subjetiva puede definirse como una respuesta afectiva que surge por la evaluación de los aspectos positivos y negativos asociados a las propias relaciones sexuales. Un total de 615 puertorriqueños (332 mujeres y 282 hombres) participaron en este estudio de carácter psicométrico. Los resultados indican que la escala posee una estructura multidimensional de cuatro factores. Estos factores fueron identificados como Valoración Subjetiva, Aspecto Emocional, Ejecución Sexual y Autoimagen. Un total de 20 reactivos cumplieron con los criterios de discriminación y el índice de confiabilidad obtenido para la versión final de 20 reactivos fue .91.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to analyze the reliability, factorial structure and validity indicators of the sexual satisfaction scale. Subjective sexual satisfaction can be defined as an affective response arising from one's subjective evaluation of the positive and negative dimensions associated with one's sexual relationship. A total of 615 Puerto Ricans (332 women and 282 men) participated in this psychometric study. The results indicate that the scale fits better to a multidimensional model of four factors. These factors were denominated Subjective Evaluation, Emotional Aspects, Sexual Performance and Self-Perception. A total of 20 items complied with the criteria of discrimination. The reliability index obtained for the version of 20 items of the scale was .91.

The present theoretical study is a systematic review of research publications in which sexual satisfaction was the dependent variable. After conducting a literature search in major electronic databases and following a selection process, we provide a summary of the main findings of 197 scientific papers published between 1979 and 2012. The review revealed the complexity and importance of sexual satisfaction, which was associated with the following variables and factors: a) individual variables such as socio-demographic and psychological characteristics as well as physical and psychological health status; b) variables associated with intimate relationships and sexual response; c) factors related to social support and family relationships; and d) cultural beliefs and values such as religion. In conclusion, we observed that sexual satisfaction is a key factor in individuals' sexual health and overall well-being. However, despite its importance, there is a lack of theoretical models combining the most important factors to explain sexual satisfaction.

Recent research demonstrates that more men, particularly those in couple relationships, are using vibrators to enhance sexual pleasure (Reece et al., 2009; 2010). However, men’s perceptions of vibrator use with a partner have rarely been investigated. The purpose of this analysis was to study men’s perceptions of the impact of vibrator use on their and their partner’s sexual pleasure and sexual satisfaction. Forty-nine men, aged 25-58, in heterosexual relationships responded to a series of open-ended questions regarding their experience of incorporating a couple-oriented vibrator into their sexual repertoire over a 6-week period. Thematic anaysis was used to analyze the data. The data were organized into four themes: physical pleasure, awareness of partner’s experience, novelty and variety, and intimacy. Men’s experiences of sexual pleasure were tied to perceptions of their partner’s pleasure and to the addition of novelty and variety in sexual encounters.

Background
Health science and technology today is a rapidly growing field. Health is a multifaceted concept influ- enced by several factors, and health literacy is essential to deal properly with the current situation. In this study, the association between health literacy and sexual function and sexual satisfaction were investigated in 2016.

Materials and Methods
This descriptive and correlational study was conducted on 193 couples in the Royan Insti- tute, Tehran. Data collection instruments were three standard questionnaires which included the Test of Functional Health Literacy, the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and the International Index of Erectile Function, and the Iranian version of the Sexual Satisfaction Scale. The data were analyzed using SPSS-v23 software at a significance level of 0.05.

Results
Marginal health literacy, 49.7% among men and 44.1% among women, was more common than adequate or inadequate health literacy. Erectile function for the majority of men was appropriate (53.3%), compared to 16.6% who had perfect function and 30.1% for whom function was less than appropriate. The majority of women (57.0%) had sexual dysfunction. One hundred and three (53.3%) men had appropriate sexual function and 57% of women had normal sexual function. The greater proportion of men (50.8%) and women (46.1%) had good, rather than very good or less than good, sexual satisfaction. The results of chi-square tests indicated that greater health literacy was associ- ated with higher levels of sexual function and sexual satisfaction among men and women. However, application of the Cramer’s V test indicates that the strength of these associations is moderate to weak.

Conclusion
Health literacy was marginal among most couples and its adverse impacts on sexual function and sexual satisfaction were confirmed. Accordingly, it is recommended that plans be developed to promote health literacy among infertile couples.

Objective: Gender Dysphoria is one of the most important psychiatric disorders whose
complications include the problems occurring after sex reassignment surgery.
Methods: This study investigates sexual function and satisfaction in patients with Gender
Dysphoria, both operated and non-operated patients, from 2011 to 2013. We used a crosssectional
analysis, and by referring to the Legal Medicine Center in the province of Fars, 70
patients with Gender Dysphoria (including 35-operated male to female and 35 non-operated
male to female) were selected using the non-probability sampling method. The study data were
collected by sexual satisfaction standard questionnaires, sexual function index, and Beck scale
for suicidal ideation were used. The results were analyzed using SPSS V. 22.
Results: According to the results, no significant difference was observed between the operated
and non-operated groups in terms of sexual satisfaction. However, there was a significant
difference in terms of sexual function among operated group compared to the non-operated
group, at the significance level of 0.05.
Conclusion: Based on our finding, the patients with sex reassignment surgery have found their
identity, mental relaxation, and coordinated behavior with their genders. New sexual identity
heals patients’ relationship with society, presents individual in community with suitable social
status and reasonable sexual function for achieving normal life.

This non experimental approach examined 104 participants of the Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program (BPD) on the impact work and children living in the home (under age 18) had on married couples' perception of their sex lives. Multiple and linear regression were used to assess work life, work hours, and the impact of having children (under age 18) who resided in the home on participants' perception of their sexual satisfaction. Results indicated that children do not have a statistically significant relationship on married couples' martial sexual satisfaction while work life/work hours did have a significant relationship. These findings suggested therapists, counselors, and social workers acknowledge how work and children impact the sexual relationship of dual career couples as they try to balance their careers and family life.

The  importance  of  interpersonal  and  sexual  relations  and  realized  sexuality  in  the  concepts  of  subjective well-being is considered quite often, but the understanding of sexual well-being is presented rather vaguely, mainly in the context of medical issues as the absence of sexual dysfunction, as a component of sexual health, is equated with the satisfaction of sexual life.
This  article  uses  theoretical  research  methods -analysis,  generalization,  synthesis,  conceptualization  and modelling.
Based  on  theories  and  approaches  to  subjective well-being,
is highlights the  concept of  sexual  well-being and  presents  a  psychological  model  of  subjective  sexual well-being. We define sexual well-being as the harmoniousrealization  by  the  subject  of  his  sexuality  on  the  bodily-physical, soul-emotional and spiritual-mental levels; a per-
son's harmonious experience of belonging to the sex and an adaptive way of realizing this belonging. In a broad sense, subjective sexual well- being can be seen as a multifactorial construct  that  reflects  the  omplex  interrelationships  of cultural (for example, continuum of norms accepted in culture), social (permissibility of certain thoughts and actions), psychological  (cognitive,  emotional  and  behavioral;  for example,  attractiveness,  desirability,  satisfaction,  self-esteem), physical (physical attractiveness, sexual constitution) and spiritual factors (transcendence, axiological interpretation).
Sexual well-being can be considered on at least two levels - non-deficient, from the standpoint of the absence of disorders and problems; and at the level of eudemonic, meaningful, existentially filled. According to the levels of sexual development, sexual well-being can be assessed at the bodily-physical level, soul-emotional and mental-spiritual level.
Sexual well-being can be represented in the trinity of cognitive, emotional and conative (motivational, behavioral) components. The cognitive component includes: self-awareness as a representative of the sex, acceptance of one's own self-sexual, acceptance of one's own gender, orientation and attraction, one's own body, corporeality, acceptance of a partner, partnership, trust and openness, communication. The emotional component includes a positive assessment of oneself as a sexual subject, satisfaction with a partner, partnership, intimacy, satisfaction with sexual life. The conative component includes: libido, sexual interest, openness of experience, adaptive sexual scenarios, sexual security (absence of violence, coercion, blackmail, discrimination), freedom of expression, equal partnership.
Factors of sexual well-being are individual (permissiveness, sexual interest, realized sexuality), dyadic (relationships as value, sexual communication, intimacy, trust, openness) and evaluation factors (satisfaction with one's own self-sexual, satisfaction with sexual relations, partnership, satisfaction with sexual life in general).
We can talk about the levels of determinations of sexual well-being: 1) ) determinants of the personal level or microsystem (socio-demographic characteristics, sexual dysfunctions, personality traits, sexual self-disclosure, attitudes toward sexuality and subjective well-being); 2) determinants of the interpersonal level or mesosystem (characteristics of the relationship itself, sexual communication, intimacy, equality, openness, trust, romantic love, partnership), 3) determinants of exosystems (traditions, family values, social support, pregnancy, parenthood, victimization and victimization) in childhood); 4) determinants of macrosystems (religiosity and political ideology, public morals and values, freedom of expression).
Further study of sexual well-being requires empirical verification of theoretical assumptions, clarification of empirical criteria of sexual well-being with the help of our developed psychological tools for psychodiagnostic measurement of this indicator.

Emerging adults (EAs) have been theorized as an intensely self-focused and sexually experimental cohort. The aim of this study was to examine the sexual motivations of heterosexual EA couples (aged 18 to 25 years) compared to heterosexual older adult couples (aged 30+ years) to determine if EAs are more self-focused sexual partners than older adults and if the self-focused sexual motivations of EAs lead to sexual dissatisfaction in their respective couple members. A moderated mediation model was proposed, whereby self-focused sexual motivation(s) were hypothesized to mediate the relationship between age and sexual dissatisfaction. The present research is aimed at investigating the effectiveness of self-compassion focused Therapy on finding meaning in life, and sexual satisfaction in women with addicted husband in the city of Mashhad. The research was a semi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design and control group. The population included all the women with addicted husbands who had referred to addiction treatment centers. 30 people were selected by purposive convenience sampling. 15 people were randomly assigned to the experimental group of self-compassion training and 15 people were randomly assigned to the control group average. The questionnaires included Steger and Frazier’s meaning in life questionnaire (2006) used for measuring finding meaning in life, and Yavari Kermani’s sexual satisfaction questionnaire (2007) used for measuring sexual satisfaction. The mentioned questionnaires were used in two phases of pretest and posttest. The experimental group received self-compassion training program for eight 120-minute sessions. The findings of multivariate and one-way analysis of covariance in the experimental and control groups showed that the effect of self-compassion training was in the subscales of self-compassion training significantly increased the variables of finding meaning in life (F=12/42, P < 0/01), existence of meaning (F=4/25, p < 0/05), seeking for meaning (F=17/84), and sexual satisfaction (F=93/51, p < 0/001) in women. The results of this study suggested that self-compassion training is an effective way of increasing the variables of finding meaning in life, and sexual satisfaction in women with addicted husbands.

The goal of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral educational program based on body image for sexual satisfaction and functioning for married female university students. The research design was quasi-experimental with a pretest, posttest, and control group. The statistical population of the study included all married female students studying in the faculties of humanities (i.e., Faculties of Psychology and Tributary Sciences; Social Sciences; and Economics) that according to the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ), were dissatisfied with their body image. Among these students, 30 of whom getting scores lower than the average on Larson's sexual satisfaction questionnaire (LSSQ) and Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) were selected (15 subjects were assigned to the experimental group, and 15 subjects were assigned to the control group) to participate in the Cognitive-Behavioral Educational Program. The analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data. The results showed that after receiving intervention, a significant difference (P<0/001) was found between the experimental and control groups in the rate of increase in sexual satisfaction and functioning. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the cognitive-behavioral educational program based on body image and modification of negative body image can be used to increase sexual satisfaction and functioning in married female students who are dissatisfied with their body image.

This paper basically deals with power generation for electric vehicles using DFIG. The main advantage is that, it works under operational (running) condition also. The Indian Railways primarily operates electric and diesel locomotives. We introduced doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) on electric locomotives and designed a prototype for propeller installation of DFIG in the locomotives. We use MATLAB for simulation of 1.5 MW DFIG and realize that, DFIG can produce electricity at 1 m/s wind speed also. We want to use that power for charging the batteries of electric train while it is running and deliver the access amount of power to the grid using pantograph. In India, Indian Railway (IR) runs more than 20,000 passenger trains daily. We also calculated that if 10 percent of electric trains are running with DFIG then how much electricity can serve by Indian Railway to whole grid system.

The effect of individual consciousness skills' base counseling on sexual satisfaction of women at reproductivef age Introduction: Sexual satisfaction is an important indicator of sexual health and is strongly associated with satisfaction of interpersonal relationships. Self-awareness refers to pay attention to the thoughts, feelings, and it is the introduction of interpersonal relationships. Due to this relationship,a study was conducted to determine the impact of individual counseling based on self-awareness skills on sexual satisfaction in women of reproductive age of Gorgan, Iran. Methods: An interventional study was conducted as a field trial on 76 women of reproductive age referred to Gorgan health centers in the fall of 1395. The samples were availablility selected and randomly divided into intervention and control groups. In the first step, the Hudson Sexual Satisfaction Persian Questionnaire were completed by all women. Then,the women in the intervention group were consulted with six sessions of individual counseling based on self-awareness skills intervention. One month after counseling, both post-tests were performed in both groups. Variables with T-student and Mann-Whitney using SPSS 16 software were analyzed. Results: There was no statistically significant difference between mean score of sexual satisfaction before intervention between two controls (103.21 ± 10.15) and intervention groups (102.36 ± 10.00). But, there was a statistically significant difference between mean score of sexual satisfaction after intervention; 103.39 ± 10.04 for the control group and 112.1 ± 7.97 for the intervention group (P-Value<0.0001). Conclusion: The results show that to increase sexual satisfaction promoting the awareness about sexual issues is not the only solution, but also promoting the self-awareness skills via recognizing their positive and negative characteristics is necessary. Hence, healthcare providers can use individual counseling based on self-awareness skills to increase sexual satisfaction.

Background: Marital satisfaction is the correspondence between the expectations a person has of marital life and what one might experience in his life. The present study seeks to compare the marital satisfaction, marital intimacy, sexual satisfaction, and marital adjustment of married persons (various age difference) with age and duration of marriage control. Methods: It is a causal-comparative design and the research population consists of all married students at Ahwaz Islamic Azad University in 2016-2017. This sample size consists of 276 subjects who were selected by convenience sampling method. A sample size of at least 30 people per group is recommended in a casual comparative study. Data have been collected via questionnaires. The data have been analyzed using SPSS software version 20 and Levene's Test, MANOVA, MANCOVA tests. Results: The results show that there is no significant difference between marital satisfaction, marital intimacy, sexual satisfaction, and marital adjustment in married people with various age differences. Furthermore, the results also show that there is no significant difference between marital satisfaction, marital intimacy, sexual satisfaction, and marital adjustment in married people (various age differences) with age and duration of marriage control.

Background: Previous studies depicted a recent drastic reduction in sexual activity in tandem with the rise of the Second Demographic Transition (SDT). However, very little attention has been paid to the questions of whether and how these processes are connected and how they play out in measuring sexual satisfaction among the diverse population of single people. Method: Therefore, the current research focused on exploring this relation among the groups of never-married singles and divorced singles, further divided into men and women (N = 5944) and compared with married people (N=18,733). Data were drawn from the Panel Analysis of Intimate Relationships and Family Dynamics (Pairfam) study. Results: The results of this study indicated that voluntary singlehood positively correlates with sexual satisfaction among all four groups. Moreover, voluntary singlehood among women of both groups negatively correlates with sex frequency, desired sex frequency, and pornography usage, while among men voluntary singlehood negatively correlates with desired sex frequency. Conclusions: These results indicate that within the second demographic transition, voluntary singles are generally more sexually satisfied, and this is not associated with having more casual sex, but rather with desiring less sex and, among women, with being less sexually active relatively to involuntary single women.

In spite of a growing presence of pornography in contemporary life, little is known about its potential effects on young people’s sexual socialization and sexual satisfaction. In this article, we present a theoretical model of the effects of sexually explicit materials (SEM) mediated by sexual scripting and moderated by the type of SEM used. An on-line survey dataset that included 650 young Croatian men aged 18-25 years was used to explore empirically the model. Descriptive findings pointed to significant differences between mainstream and paraphilic SEM users in frequency of SEM use at the age of 14, current SEM use, frequency of masturbation, sexual boredom, acceptance of sex myths, and sexual compulsiveness. This study aimed to develop an explanatory model of sexual satisfaction in same-sex attracted individuals with a partner, based on personal and interpersonal variables. The participants were 410 men (mean age = 29.24, SD = 9.84) and 410 women (mean age = 29, SD = 8.57) who maintained a relationship with another person of the same sex. Internalized homophobia was considered as a personal variable, and as interpersonal variables, the dimensions of attachment (anxiety and avoidance), sexual functioning, dyadic adjustment, relationship satisfaction, the components of the Interpersonal Exchange Model of Sexual Satisfaction, the number of sexual costs and the number of sexual rewards were considered. Limited research on feigning orgasm, particularly among men,
exists, and even less investigates motivations for doing so. Further,
whether feigning orgasm, and motivations for feigning orgasm, is
associated with sexual and relationship satisfaction and sexual
desire is unknown. Thus, the purpose of the current study was to
examine these relationships in a sample of 230 men (18-29 years
old) having pretended orgasm with their current relationship
partner at least once. Participants were recruited on Amazon
Mechanical Turk. On average, participants reported feigning orgasm
in approximately one-fourth of sexual encounters in their current
sexual relationship, most commonly during vaginal sex. Feigning
orgasm for reasons related to a poor sexual experience or to poor
partner choice was the strongest predictor; associated with lower
levels of desire and sexual and relationship satisfaction. Feigning
orgasm to support a partner’s emotional well-being was associated
with higher levels of desire. Feigning orgasm because one was
intoxicated, having undesired sex, or out of a desire to improve the
quality of the sexual encounter was associated with higher levels of
sexual satisfaction (though these variables accounted for little
variance). This research indicates men do feign orgasm, and
motivations for doing so are associated with sexual and relational
outcomes.

Background: Through its ability to address and remove fear and misunderstanding and the resulting sexual reluctance and related problems, pre-marital sexual education and counselling can contribute to sexual satisfaction. Methods: This quasi-experimental research conducted in a pre-test-post-test control group design aimed to examine the effectiveness of nursing interventions on a premarital counselling program and its impacts on the sexual satisfaction of couples (36 couples in the experimental group and 35 couples in the control group). Results: Although no difference was detected between the experimental and control groups in terms of the level of knowledge on pre-test point averages, the difference between them in terms of post-test knowledge gain averages was statistically significant. Approval rates for sexual myths in the pre-test were 27.87% in the experimental group and 37.03% in the control group; in the post-test they were 23.51% and 36.66% respectively. In the experimental group, 80.6% of the women and 63.9% of the men, and in the control group, 77.1% of the women and 71.4% of the men were established as having a problem-free sexual life. Conclusions: It was also discovered that levels of sexual satisfaction were shown to be higher among women and men in the experimental group who had attended premarital sexual counselling education than the women and men in the control group. A recommendation to encourage engaged couples to attend premarital sexual counselling is made based on the findings. It is thought that an intervention plan prepared within the framework of the Information, Motivation, Behavioural Skills theoretical model will help nurses guide recently-married couples to greater sexual satisfaction.

The study aimed at determining the perception of contributory factors to marital sexual satisfaction among married persons in Ebonyi State University, Nigeria as influenced by socio-demographic variables of gender, age and length of marriage.

The study aimed at predicting marital satisfaction through self-esteem and Sexual satisfaction in a Ghanaian orthodox church. The objectives were to determine the correlation between sexual satisfaction and marital satisfaction, to ascertain the correlation between self-esteem and marital satisfaction, and to ascertain the gender difference in marital satisfaction. The descriptive survey research design was adopted. The target group was married couples. Simple random sampling was used to select one hundred and sixty married persons with tenure of marriage between two years and fifty years. Questionnaires on Larson's sexual satisfaction and Rosenberg's self-esteem was used for data collection. The cronbach reliability coefficient for the instrument was 0.68 and 0.72, respectively. Results indicate that there was a negative correlation between sexual satisfaction and marital satisfaction. There was a positive correlation between self-esteem and marital satisfaction. There was no statistically significant difference in gender and marital satisfaction. Based on the discussion of literature review, recommendations were made.

Background: Given the rising rate of infertility, the prevalence of mental health disorders in infertile couples is undeniable. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) on infertility self-efficacy, dyadic adjustment, and sexual satisfaction in infertile couples. Methods: The present single-case experimental study used a multiple-baseline design. The statistical population of the study included all infertile couples referring to infertility centers in Ahvaz City, Iran, in 2019. The research instruments included the Infertility Self-Efficacy Scale (ISE), the Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS), and the Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire (SSQ). Following a diagnostic interview, 3 couples were selected using the convenience sampling technique. Integrative behavioral couple therapy was conducted in twelve 120-minute sessions for the intervention group. The second couple entered the study in the second session of the first couple; the third couple enrolled the treatment plan in the third session of the first couple and the second session of the second couple. All questionnaires were completed in the first, third, sixth, eighth, and tenth sessions; the study participants were followed up and reassessed two months later. The collected data were analyzed in SPSS using chart analysis, reliable change index, and significance statistics. Results: The provided IBCT increased infertility self-efficacy (39.04%), dyadic adjustment (25.91%), and sexual satisfaction (55.01%) in infertile couples. Besides, the improvement lasted throughout the follow-up which indicated the effectiveness of IBCT on infertility self-efficiency, dyadic adjustment, and sexual satisfaction in the study subjects. Conclusion: IBCT can be effective in improving personal and marital variables in infertile couples with infertility problems in addition to their marital problems.

Introduction: Despite the desirable characteristics of the Hooper Sexual Problems questionnaire in studying the problems and strengthening sexual relations, the standardization of the questionnaire has not been done in Iran. Objective: The current study aimed at standardizing the Hopper sex problems questionnaire in Iranian couples. Materials and Methods: The current methodological study was conducted on 310 couples (620 people), selected by multistage random sampling method, to assess the construct validity (convergent and differential validity), criterion validity, and the internal consensus estimation of the questionnaire. In the next stage, 120 couples (240 people) were selected through convenience sampling method to estimate the structural validity, temporal stability, and reliability of the observers. The formal validity and qualitative content validity, structural validity (exploratory factor analysis), and criterion validity were used to estimate the validity of the questionnaire. The Cronbach alpha was used in order to measure the internal consistency of the questionnaire. The test-retest was used to check the temporal stability of the questionnaire. Finally, the Kappa coefficient was used to assess the reliability of the observers. Results: The results of qualitatively checking the validity was satisfactory. The convergent validity was satisfactory with marital satisfaction questionnaire (r=0.80) and sexual satisfaction questionnaire (r=0.74) and differential doping with mental health questionnaire (r=-0.39). The criterion validity of the sexual problem questionnaire determined 37.8% and 62.1% of the marital satisfaction and sexual satisfaction variances, respectively. Exploratory factor analysis showed that the questionnaire items explained at least 55% and at most 92% of the total variance of the test. The Cronbach alpha of the questionnaire was 0.976, the reliability of the retest was 0.63, and the mean agreement coefficient between the experts was 0.64 (P<0.05). Conclusion: The Hooper Sexual Problems questionnaire has desirable reliability and validity and can be used as a tool to study and evaluate sexual relations.

Bu çalışmada evli bireylerin evlilik yılları (evlilik süresi), aile gelirine katkı oranları, çocuk sayıları ve cinsel yaşamlarından memnuniyet düzeylerine göre evlilik doyumuna ilişkin profilleri incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın araştırma grubu, Ankara'da yaşayan, en az lise mezunu ve gelir getiren bir işte çalışan 549 evli bireyden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak evlilik doyum düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla Tezer (1986) tarafından geliştirilen Evlilik Yaşamı Ölçeği, sosyo demografik değişkenlere ilişkin veri toplamak amacıyla ise Kişisel Bilgi Formu Kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS 22.0 istatistik programı kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda; evli bireylerin evlilik doyumu profil bulgularına ilişkin olarak şu sonuçlar elde edilmiştir; bir yıldan az süredir evli olan, aile gelirine katkı oranının kadın ve erkek cinsiyetleri arasında eşit düzeyde olduğu, çocuk sahibi olmayan ve cinsel yaşamlarından memnun olan evli bireylerin evlilik doyum düzeylerinin diğer gruplarda yer alan evli bireylere oranla manidar düzeyde yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.
Abstract
In this study, the profiles of marital satisfaction according to marital years (marriage duration), family income contribution rates, number of children and satisfaction levels of sexual life were examined. The research group of the study consists of 549 married individuals living in Ankara who have at least a high school education and work in an income generating business. The Marriage Life Scale developed by Tezer (1986) was used to determine marital satisfaction levels as a means of data collection. Personal Information Form was used to collect data on socio demographic variables. In the analysis of the data obtained in the study, SPSS 22.0 statistical program was used. As a result of the analyzes made; The following results were obtained regarding the marital satisfaction profile of married individuals; The marital satisfaction levels of married individuals who are married with less than one year of marriage and whose marital contribution to family income is equal between married men and women who are not children and who are satisfied with their sexual lives are significantly higher than married people in other groups.

Sexual satisfaction is an important contributor to relationship functioning that is not well understood among first-time parents, at a time when relationship functioning is important for the well-being of parents as well as the child. The current study examined how several dimensions of individual and relationship functioning among first-time parents (coparenting, division of household and paid labor, parenting stress, and role overload) at 6 months postbirth predicted multiple domains of sexual satisfaction at 12 months postbirth, in a sample of heterosexual first-time parents. Role overload, work hours, and division of household labor each predicted at least one domain of sexual satisfaction for both mothers and fathers, whereas parenting stress was a unique predictor for mothers only. The implications of these results for first-time parents are discussed.

Study explored correlates and predictors of sexual satisfaction among older adults in same-sex relationships by examining internalized homophobia, resilience, sexual communication, and relationship satisfaction. Online survey elicited 265 participants (54% female, 46% male), aged 60-75, in same-sex relationships from 1 to 47 years. Participants reported high levels of relationship satisfaction and resilience, moderate levels of sexual communication and sexual satisfaction, and low levels of internalized homophobia. Stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated relationship satisfaction contributed uniquely to the prediction of sexual satisfaction. Relationship satisfaction was positively correlated with sexual satisfaction and resilience and negatively correlated with internalized homophobia. Internalized homophobia was also negatively correlated with resilience. Recent estimates indicate there are over three million U.S. citizens over 65 who consider themselves LGBTQ, many of whom are in same-sex relationships. Therefore, given the paucity of research and misconceptions about this population, findings, and recommendations are of value to educators, clinicians, and policymakers.

Aim: The aim of the current paper was to provide an overview of literature on sexual function and sexual difficulties in older adults. Method: We conducted a narrative review of papers published in English between January 2005 and July 2015 based on an extensive search in PsycINFO. Results: The review showed that while common biological changes may adversely affect sexual function in old age, sexual experience seems to also be affected by psychological and interpersonal factors. Conclusions: Greater life expectancy and better medical care will result in older individuals with chronic diseases living longer. The need for help to cope with changes in sexual health is likely to increase in older adults, as sexuality may be negatively affected through several pathways.

Body image issues can affect all domains of sexual functioning. The aim of this study was to examine how, in a sociocultural context where physical and sexual attractiveness is equated with young and slim body ideals, appearance dissatisfaction and importance are related to sexual satisfaction in older adults in four European countries. A cross-sectional survey with probability samples of the population aged 60-75 years was used. Only respondents with a partner were included in this paper, and the countries included Norway (n = 957), Denmark (n = 846), Belgium (n = 612), and Portugal (n = 367). Sexual satisfaction, appearance dissatisfaction and importance were assessed, and frequency of intercourse/kissing and cuddling, relationship satisfaction, age, and body mass index (BMI) were all used as control variables. Belgian men scored significantly lower on sexual satisfaction, while there was no difference in sexual satisfaction in women. Appearance dissatisfaction was lower in Scandinavian women and men, and in Belgian men, and appearance salience was lower in Norwegian men and women, and in Portuguese women. Linear regression analysis revealed that, adjusting for confounders, appearance dissatisfaction was significantly related to sexual satisfaction in Scandinavian women and men, as well as in Belgian men. Compared to research on younger adults, appearance evaluation appeared to play an equally important role in sexual satisfaction in older adults in our study. The variation in appearance dissatisfaction in older adults across European countries is a novel finding that needs to be examined further.

Although the objectification of women is widespread, there is relatively little research on objectification in romantic relationships. The purpose of our research was to explore how partner-objectification might be related to sexual pressure and coercion in heterosexual relationships. Two studies were conducted, one with heterosexual men and one with hetero-sexual women as participants. An online survey of 119 heterosexual men in the United States demonstrated that men who frequently survey their partners ’ bodies are more likely to sexually pressure and coerce their partners—primarily because partner-surveillance is related to feelings of shame regarding one’s partner’s body, which in turn is related to increased sex-ual pressure and coercion. Our purpose of conducting this community-based study was to determine sexual functions of women in climacterium and effects of menopausal symptoms on sexual functions. It was descriptive, cross-sectional, and community-based. The study sample consisted of 282 climacteric women. Menopause Rating Scale (MRS), Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), and Sexual Satisfaction Scale for Women (SSS-W) were used for data collection. The total score was 13.42 § 8.82 for MRS, 18.73 § 9.79 for FSFI, and 82.56 § 18.07 for SSS-W. Seventy-nine-point four percent of the women had sexual dysfunction. While complaints typical of the climacteric period increased, sexual functions and satisfaction decreased.

There have been fruitful studies in the literature about different aspects affecting the life quality of postpartum women. However, the focus of this study, which is the effect of perceived body image on marital and sexual satisfaction of postpartum women at different levels of spousal support, have not been addressed in Turkey yet. Specifically, the main aim of the present study is to find out the effect of perceived body image on marital and sexual satisfaction and also, the effect of perceived body image on marital and sexual satisfaction at different levels of spousal support. The present study will include 120 postpartum women in Turkey and they will be performed the instruments, namely, the Marital Life Scale, Golombok Rust Inventory of Sexual Satisfaction, Peer Support Scale, Body Cathexis Scale, and Personel Information Form. The data gained from the participants will be analyzed by performing regression analysis. Limitations, contributions, and implications of the study and suggestions for future studies will be also provided.
