Library System

From many years Assisted Instruction (AI) has used to bring the power of the computer system to stand on the educational process. Now a day instead of assisted instruction artificial intelligence methods was applied for the development of intelligent computer assisted instruction (ICAI) systems. It is an attempt to create computerized tutors. This tutors shape the teaching techniques to fit the learning patterns of individual students. This research paper based on the literature reviews available on this emerging topic. The paper gives detail information regarding Artificial Intelligence and machine learning. So that information professionals can use it better way in academic and their research. In this research paper the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence and machine learning are given.

Android platform is gaining popularity and holds
more users than other platforms. Earlier Librarian needed to
keep track of books in a vast room. But evolution of the
computers, smart phones and internet have made the work much
easier. LIBKART application helps the users to access their
required information and queries without the help of computers
or the librarians but through their android devices which saves
their time and energy. In this paper we provide an efficient
access over library system using a Smartphone application
named as LIBKART. The main purpose of this paper is to
provide an easy access to library and to provide details of library
books, issue of books and notify the user due dates of book being
issued. The paper also aims at providing a reference section of
books where the books can be downloaded through permission
from admin. The user can access the newspapers on daily basis
and can also download university question papers.

Abstract: Nadezhda Konstantinovna Krupskaia (Krupskaya), feminist, pedagogue, Bolshevik leader and leading figure in the Russian Revolution, created the new Soviet educational system and set up the workers' state libraries by boosting the Soviet library system, lectured and wrote extensively on the importance of libraries and reading in socialist society.

The modern sensation the field of Library and Information Science is the word e-library where information's are stored in a digital format. It actually enables the use of the new emerging technique XML for transporting information over internet and thus nullifies the disadvantages (viz. rigid transaction set, fixed business rule, high cost, and slow pace) of previously used EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) technique. Keeping in mind the necessity of rapid and dynamic information explosion the library in the modern era should be universal. This concept of spreading a centralized system in a geographically dispersed system is known as distributed system. In this work we represent a model that is distributed in nature and information is transferred by means of XML.

The development of information, technology and communication is a very big influence on the field of everyday life. Likewise influence on world library, where library starting from the traditional library continues to grow into a semi-modern library and evolving into a modern library. Modern libraries are now implementing information systems and library automation and digitization of the library. Library information system has many built by the parties to the system builder is both commercial and open-source with diverse features. Therefore, in this study, the authors also interested in building an information system and web-based library automation. Information and library automation system that has a wake authors ranging from automation features such as user management systems already include QRcode and barcodes as well as levels of users ranging from administrator to members. Then there are features of the collection and management automation repository collections (digital collections) which already include QR code and barcode. Also, there are features a collection automation circulation (lending transactions, repayment and extension), booking collection, catalogue and search the collection, statistics and reporting systems.

During the investigation and migration from one library system to another, there are many aspects to manage, some of these technical, while others are with personnel and change management.  The presenters delve into various facets of project management related to a migration from a traditional ILS and ERMS to a next generation library system or "library service platform" aka URM or Unified Resource Management System.  Rollins College was unique as the first library in Florida to migrate to Ex Libris Alma as well as Primo for front end user discovery.  The presenters discuss: layers of communication landscape, stakeholders, zero hour tasks, communication challenges, solutions, implementation of a ticketing system, looking ahead, and change management.

In an object oriented system, different types of objects may have one or more attributes in common. For example different types of objects in a library system might be “loanable” or “catalogued”. The first part of the paper introduces a distinction between object types and attribute types, showing that there are advantages in treating them as separate constructs of an object oriented programming language. Then generalized attribute types, (e.g. “synchronized”, “journalized”, “protected”) are discussed. It is shown how implementations involving a technique called bracket routines can lead to clearly modeled and cleanly implemented programs. It is then shown how the bracket technique can be effectively used to introduce protection and security concepts into a system.
