En el estudio del diseño de obras de ingeniería es importante tener en cuenta el comportamiento de los fluidos estáticos sobre las superficies de los recipientes que los contienen para lograr que estos sean lo suficientemente fuertes para contener un fluido en el caso de que sea una obra de gran envergadura tal como un embalse o depósitos de agua. Para este laboratorio se determinara la fuerza del agua sobre la superficie triangular y rectangular de dos toroides sumergidos en diferentes cantidades de agua. Con ello se reforzara la temática vista en clase y las destrezas en el manejo de equipos del laboratorio.

The purpose of this study was to know the nature of reading attitudes and the reading comprehension level of key stage 2 learners in a total of 135 of Tagpaco and Sinalac Elementary Schools. The reading comprehension questionnaire was adapted from Philippine Informal Reading (Phil-IRI)2018 stories on reading comprehension. The descriptive-correlational design with a modified adopted questionnaire as the main data gathering instrument. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson's product-moment correlation tool in the context of the theories of Skinner's, schema, operant conditioning, attitudes, and the reasoned action model theory. This implies that most respondents believe that reading is important and can contribute to personal and professional growth. However, there is still a need for improvement, as some learners do not prioritize reading or hold negative attitudes toward it. Encouraging more positive attitudes towards reading could have significant advantages in terms of academic achievement and personal development, such as improved reading skills, increased vocabulary, and better critical thinking abilities. The results of this study revealed that promoting positive attitudes toward reading among key stage 2 learners should consider gender differences and be targeted toward specific grade levels, even though factors such as age and parental education may not have a significant impact on attitudes toward reading.

A new orchid species from section Macrocaulia (BLUME) AVER., Bulbophyllum amorosum, is described and illustrated. It is known only from the mossy forests of the Mount Kalatungan Mountain Range in Northern Mindanao, Philippines. The fact that the Nigerian economy depends critically and precariously on hydrocarbon resources, therefore, makes imperative to illuminate and x-ray the importance of natural gas to the development of the Nigerian economy. Against this background, the study examines empirically the role of natural gas in the economic development calculus of Nigeria. The main objective of this study is to provide a framework for understanding the larger economic role of gas at a time when issues of employment and investment are so critical in a traumatized national economy in Nigeria. For us to achieve the above objective the following questions are germane: what is the impact of natural gas revenue on real GDP per capita in Nigeria? What is the relationship between natural gas revenue and economic development? What has been the impact of natural gas on electricity generation? What more is needed to be done for natural gas development to continue to be one of the key drivers in achieving sustained economic growth and inclusive development in Nigeria? The study adopted the political economy in the context of theoretical and descriptive analysis to x-ray the issues that are germane to the study. Findings revealed that the gas is very important to the Nigerian economy and that for strategic reasons Nigeria should continue to develop her gas resources. The study recommends further investments be made in the gas sector by funding trains 7 and 8 of the NLNG. Other gas projects should be embarked upon such as the Brass LNG and Olokola LNG. Policies that are environmental friendly should be enacted.

The inability of the public sector to independently meet the increasing demand for infrastructure and services has prompted many governments to adopt Public-private partnership (PPP) as an alternative strategy. In worldwide practices, however, there are mixed results and controversy in the application of PPP model. The Public-private partnership has, for this reason, become an increasingly active research area mainly to establish the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) towards improving the PPP model. This article reviews the current debate on the subject of PPP and compares the findings of different literature regarding the relative importance of CSFs of PPP projects. The authors argue that the CSFs of PPP projects are distinctive to the context of location and time. The article concludes that this subjectivity has implications for the “guaranteed” success of both existing and future PPP projects.
