HIV AIDS: Origin and Controversies

Abstract HIV/AIDS continues to be a major global public health issue. In 2015, an estimated 36.7 million people were living with HIV/AIDS virus. An estimate of more than 25.5 million people living with HIV lives in Sub-SaharanAfrica. According to the 2012 Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) report on the state of the HIV epidemic globally, Nigeria is among the 12 countries that experienced a stable rate of HIV infection within the decade 2001-2010. Today Nigeria remains the second country with highest HIV virus prevalence in the world after South Africa as for December 2016.Based on this background this paper tries to explore the historical antecedence and secrecy behind HIV/AIDS virusand its pandemic effects. Base on this it was gathered that there are secrecies surrounding the origin of the virus and justifiably the Chimpanzee and Green Monkeys’ theories are no longer the true explanations of AIDS virus. This paper used conspiracy theory as its theoretical framework and explained the Small Pox Vaccine and other related programs used against humanity by the few most powerful people in this world. Adescriptive study was carried out using secondary sources of data and the paper is built based on conspiracy theory analysis as the basis under which all the explanations revealing secrecy surrounding HIV/AIDS virus. The paper also captured other information on HIV/AIDS virus such as the mode of transmission and its prevalence in Nigeria. Key Words: HIV/AIDS, Conspiracy, Virus, depopulation, Genocide, and Biological Warfare INTRODUCTION Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) in human beings. When a person is infected with HIV, it can damage person immune system which is the part of the body that fight infections and keep us healthy. Over time when a person is infected with HIV, the person starts to get frequent diseases or illnesses. A person now is said to have AIDS. So AIDS is a condition caused by HIV in which the immune system no longer functions and the body becomes exposed to many opportunistic infections. This finding was confirmed in April 1984 by Robert Gallo of the United States National Cancer Institute (HCI).There are now more than 36 million people living with HIV/AIDS virus in the World of who more than 29.4 million are in Africa. The disease has already killed more than 20 million people and again out of the 34 million orphaned children in Africa, more than 11 million became orphans because of AIDS. The highest levels of AIDS are found among homosexual men and the disease was first discovered in 1979 in Manhattan among homosexual men in United State. In Africa HIV/AIDS virus highest level are found among Southern Africa, especially among adults in Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa and Zimbabweetc. 2015GLOBAL HIV/AIDSSTATISTICS HIV continues to be a major global public health issue. In 2015, an estimated 36.7 million people were living with HIV (including 1.8 million children) of 0.8%.The vast majority of this number live in low and middle-income countries. In the same year, 1.1 million people died of AIDS related illnesses. Since the start of the epidemic, an estimated 78 million people have become infected with HIV and 35 million people have died of AIDS-related illnesses (www.avert.org Nov. 2016).An estimated 25.5 million people living with HIV livesin sub-Saharan Africa. The vast majority of them (an estimated 19 million) live in east and southern Africa. About 40% of all people living with HIV do not know that they have the virus. In the year 2015 there were roughly 2.1 million new HIV infections, 150,000 of which were among children. Most of these children live in sub-Saharan Africa and were infected via their HIV-positive mothers during pregnancy, childbirth or breastfeeding. Despite the fact that Progress in decreasing new HIV infections among adults has slowed in recent years. Since 2010, the annual number of new infections among adults (15+) has remained static at 1.9 million (www.avert.org Nov. 2016). THE ORIGIN OF HIV/AIDS VIRUS AND REFLECTION OF CONSPIRACY THEORIES: THE TRUE BEHIND SMALL POX VACCINES AND OTHER RELATED PROGRAMS Many fabricated theories or explanations have been made to conceal the true behind theHIV/AIDS virus. Some of these theories include the Green and Chimpanzee Monkey's theories while others are opinions of Peter Duesberg and Small Pox Vaccines. As mentioned earlier this paper used conspiracy theory to uncover the secrecy behind HIV/AIDS virus as the weapon of mass destruction against the non white human race across the globe.The history of Small Pox Vaccines programs in Africa and AIDS virus has been deliberately white-washed to obscure its man-made origin. The knowledge of HIV and other Retroviruses as well as Secret Special Virus Cancer Programmed (SSVCP) came out in the 1970s. The same applied to blacks and homosexuals in America as more than one virus was introduced into American Gays in the late 1970s (Cantwell, 2005). By unveiling the conspiracy of HIV/AIDS virus, it was discovered that HIV/AIDS was genetically engineered virus to eliminate non-white people across the globe. This became the hard evidence when “The London Times” published an article on its front page on May 11th, 1987 entitled “Small Pox Vaccine Triggered AIDS” establishing a direct correlation between the small pox vaccine administered by the World Health Organization (WHO) to 50-70 million people in different central African countries and the subsequent outbreak of AIDS in those regions (Abdulhakeem, 2004 and Cantwell, 2005).Moreover, the popular African Woman Wangari Maathai claims that "HIV/AIDS virus was deliberately created biological agent by Scientists for biological warfare. This is why AIDS issue is surrounded by so much Secrecy" (Singh, 2004 and African News24 October 9th 2004). This idea was further supported by Fattened (2012) as cited in Thresher-Andrews (2013) who claimed that many health experts at the event of London School of Economics (LSE) on Tuesday 13th November, 2012 discussed that there are many conspiracy beliefs in Africa concerning HIV/AIDS. According to Thresher-Andrews (2013 p. 26) it is the Western World who have Man-made HIV/AIDS virus to eliminate Blacks people on the surface of the Earth (Thresher-Andrews, 2013 p. 26) However, the late Muammar Ghaddafi (former dictator of Libya) accused the United States of America for been responsible of manufacturing HIV/AIDS virus. It started when six Bulgarian Nurses were accused of infecting over 400 children in 1998 at El-Fatith Children Hospital in Benghazi. Ghaddafi blamed the CIA (Centre for Intelligence Agency) for carried out a deadly experiment on Libyan Children (www.wikipedia.com December, 2015).Similarly, the Health Domain Research has shown endorsement of birth control and HIV/AIDS conspiracy which proposed that HIV virus is a form of genocide against African-Americans (Thresher-Andrews, 2013 p. 36 and www.wikipedia.com December, 2015). Moreover, Hoyt et al (2012) and Bogart et al (2010) cited in Thresher-Andrews (2013 p. 37) confirmed that the similar results have been found in their research whereby HIV conspiracy beliefs were associated with increase risk relating to HIV by discouraging appropriate treatment behavior. ABDULHAKEEM HARUUN’S 9/11 BEFORE AND BEYOND: UNVEILING THE HIV/AIDS CONSPIRACY Conspiracy Theorists have confirmed the mysterious secrecy surrounding HIV/AIDS virus since early 1990s whoclaimed that the AIDS epidemic is the result of either a government germ warfare experiment gone horribly wrong or, a deliberate government creation to eliminate homosexuals and African-Americans from the population. (Hodapp and Von Kanno, 2008 p. 114).Abdulhakeem (2004 p.61) confirmed that the West especially America is the World’s number one Killer. This is because the Visna virus was used in the United States for genetic engineering work which resulted in creating HIV virus, a deadly virus causing an incurable infectious to man known as AIDS. The research was conducted at Fort Detrick Maryland and it was designed in U.S. genetic Laboratory on the instruction from the Pentagon. Tempo (2000)cited in Abdulhakeen (2004)also argued that “it was the power of Information Technology used by the West to successfully sold the idea that AIDS originated from Africa”.This is fabricated information because Michael Gottlied and Dr. Robert Gallo in the early 1980s identified the disease among the White Homosexual. More evidence was released in 1999 by Boyd E. Graves as cited in Abdulhakeem (2004) who claimed that “Between 1962 to 1978 United States spent $550 million to produced special virus specifically aim at producing a virus that would affect non-white. Aftermath of this program 15,000 Gallons of HIV/AIDS virus were produced by 1977, all with the aims of reducing the black populations”. Abdulhakeem (2004 p.65) quoted Prof. David Pimental of Cornell University in the Los Angelos Times of April 5th, 1994 who said that“The World population should be no more than 2 billion, rather than the current 5.6 billion”. This was furthered exposed quoting UNESCO Courier of November, 1999 when Jacques Cousteaus was reported saying “Thisis a terrible thing to say, in order to stabilize the world population, we must eliminate 350,000 people every day”(Abdulhakeem, 2004: p 66) THE GLOBAL 2000 POLICY: A DEPOPULATION AGENDA OF ENTERING INTO THE 21ST CENTURY Shahadah-Alik (undated) and Barney (1988) argued that in 1970s it was discovered that the population of Europe and that of America was declining while that of the Third World Countries was increasing and this may pose threat to the West, So to restore western hegemony the gap has to be abridges by depopulating non-whites. In 1970s by the order of the President Jimmy Carter the National Security Adviser and Secretary to Global 2000 Policy Henry Kiesinger commissioned a Global 2000 Policy. Global 2000 policy was headed by Dr. Gerald O. Barney who briefly said “if present beliefs and policies continue, the World in 21st Century will be over crowded, more polluted, less stable, economically and ecologically and more vulnerable to violent disruption than the world we live in now”. This was why at the time the National Security Study Memorandum N.S.S.M. recommended the elimination of about 3 billion people from the earth surface. To do this thereis only two ways of preventing the world population to reach 10 billion inhabitants, either by birth rate drops or death rate rise. There is no other way” (Barney 1988 and Shahadah-Alik (undated). Furthermore, the fabricated Green Monkey Theory of AIDS virus was not true as Los Angelos Times of June 2nd 1988 disputed the theory publishing an article that the AIDS virus would not have ever survive in any living organism and its DNA could have only survive in human body system. On June 4th 1984 earlier New Delhi Newspaper called “The Patriot” published an article quoted American Anthropologist that “AIDS was genetically engineered at the U.S. Army Laboratory at Fort Detrick, Maryland as biological warfare”.Similarly, on 30thOctober,1985 Soviet Journal called Literatuurnal Gazzetta repeated the charges of Indian Newspaper above.However, the “Sunday Express” of October 26th 1986 was the first western Newspaper to confirmed both Indian and Soviet newspapers findings by publishing an article title “AIDS MADE IN LABSHOP” quoting Physicians Dr. John Seal and Prof. Jacob Seagal that “AIDS virus was Man-Made” (Abdulhakeem 2004 and Shahadah-Alik (undated). The outbreak of AIDS was related to Small Pox Vaccine administered by the WHO in central African regions. This was confirmed by the International respected Newspaper called “London Times” of May 11th 1987 published an article on its front page titled “Small Pox Vaccine Triggered AIDS”. The vaccine was administered in Zaire, Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Haiti and Brazil. In Zaire more than 37,000 people were injected and infected (Shahadah-Alik (undated). To corroborate the fact that conspiracy is use by few and the most powerful forces, Tuckett (2004) claimed that AIDS virus was artificially manufactured by the U.S. government to kill African-Americans. The virus was primarily developed to kill off the so called “useless eaters” of the human race- blacks, homosexuals and drug users to be more precise. This fact was further supported by Horowitz cited in Tuckett (2004) that there are hand evidences which proves that hepatitis B vaccines infected with AIDS virus has been targeted at homosexuals and blacks in New York, San Francisco and Central Africa (via the UN’s World Health Organization). So the polio vaccines that infected babies with cancer and AIDS virus were one of many ways designed to kill members of the population termed as “Useless Eaters” (Tuckett, 2004 pp.175-176). WAYS IN WHICH ONE CAN BE INFECTED WITH HIV VIRUS There are several ways through which one can get HIV virus and these include: Unprotected sexual intercourse with an infected person Contact with an infected Person’s Blood From Mother to Child: HIV can be transmitted from an infected woman to her baby during pregnancy, delivery and breast feeding Use of infected Blood products especially at the point of blood transfusion Injecting Drugs: People who injects drugs are also vulnerable to HIV infection Biological Warfare: As it was earlier established that research laboratories were used to manufactured HIV virus and deliberately transmitted to Africa through the World Health Organization (WHO) small pox Vaccination program that was followed immediately by the outbreak of AIDS on this planet. Cult or Ritual Allegiance: Most of the cult group s do agreed on the basis for exchange of one’s life on joining the group(s). To establish trust members cut and drinks from their blood (Adamu 2009, Jane-Frances, 2015 and www.avert.org November, 2015) However, one shall know that through the following ways a person cannot be infected with HIV/AIDS virus, viz: Sharing crockery and cutlery, Insect/animal bites (e.g. Mosquito), Touching, hugging or shaking of hands, Eating food together or prepared by someone with HIV/AIDS virus, Toilet’s seat sharing, Through kissing, sharing drinking glasses, tears, saliva, sweat and urine etc (Jane-Frances 2015 and Adamu 2009). HIV/ AIDS VIRUS IN NIGERIA The first two cases of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria were identified in 1985 and reported at an international Conference in 1986. Six victims were further indentified in 1987 (www.cokoye.com December, 2016). Nigeria is characterized by the rapid increasing rate of HIV/AIDS cases in West Africa. United Nations program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) estimates that there are more than 3.5 million Nigerians adults and children living with HIV/AIDS virus. In December, 2016 Rivers state (15.2%) was the state with highest rate of HIV/AIDS victims in the country. This was followed by Taraba (10.5%) and Kaduna (9.2%) states respectively. Nigeria is the second country after South Africa with highest rate of HIV/AIDS virus in the world (Dokunola, 2015, Nigerian News Agency December, 2016 accessed from www.naij.com and www.avert.org/November, 2016).Although HIV prevalence among adults is remarkably small (3.1%) compared to other sub-Saharan African countries such as South Africa (19.2%) and Zambia (12.9%), the size of Nigeria's population i.e. 3.5 million people were living with HIV virus in 2015 (www.avert.org/November, 2016). An estimated 60% of new HIV infections in western and central Africa in 2015 occurred in Nigeria, Together with South Africa and Uganda, the country accounts for almost half of all new HIV infections in sub-Saharan Africa every year, despite the achievement of 35% reduction in new infections between 2005 and 2013. Moreover, unprotected heterosexual sex accounts for 80% of new HIV infections in Nigeria, with the majority of infections occurring in key affected populations such as sex workers (www.avert.org/November, 2016). HIV prevalence is highest in Nigeria’s southern states (known as the South-South Zone), and stands at 5.5%. It is lowest in the southeast (the South East Zone) where there is a prevalence of 1.8%. There are higher rates of HIV in rural areas (4%) than in urban ones (3%).Approximately 180,000 people died from AIDS-related illnesses in Nigeria in the year 2015. Since 2005, the reduction in the number of annual AIDS-related deaths has been minimal and this is an indications of the fact that only half (51%) of those living with HIV virus in Nigeria are accessing antiretroviral treatment (ART). (www.avert.org/November, 2016) HIV/AIDS VIRUS 2015ESTIMATES IN NIGERIA Total Number of people living with HIV are 3 500 000 [2 600 000 - 4 500 000] Adults aged 15 to 49 prevalence rate 3.1% [2.1% - 3.6%] Adults aged 15 and above living with HIV are 3, 200, 000 [2 400 000 - 4 200 000] Women aged 15 and above living with HIV are 1, 900, 000 [1 400 000 - 2 400 000] Children aged 0 to 14 living with HIV constitute 260, 000 [190 000 - 360 000] Deaths due to AIDS are 180, 000 [120 000 - 250 000] . Orphans due to AIDS aged 0 to 17 constitute 1, 800, 000 [1 300 000 - 2 600 000] http://www.unaids.org/en CONCLUSION REMARKS Whatever, the origin of HIV/AIDS virus should be the fact is that the disease is real and the failure of Scientists to agree on its origingenerates a lot of controversial issues which call for more justifiable investigations. This is why the Minister of Health for Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam, Dr. Abdul Alim Muhammed has called for a formal investigation, in his word,“We know from the Congressional Report that money was appropriated for the creation of artificial biological agents to defeat the human immune systems. This took place in July of 1969. Ten million dollars was allocated to the U.S. Army. So…let there be hearing to uncover the files” (Tuckett, 2004 pp 9-10).In this regard, this paper debunked thatit’s too early or very wrong to allow the younger generations of this century to continue with the beliefs that HIV/AIDS virus was caused by Green Monkey or Chimpanzees from Africa or nutritional dysfunctions but rather a genetically engineered virus to eliminate “Useless Eaters” of human species in order to stabilize the world population in 21st Century.
