An approach for web site usability evaluation (WebUse) is developed. It uses data collected from objective web site usability evaluations like physiological parameters, time, etc. and from subjective parameters evaluated by usability questionnaires. The objective data are measured in interval scale, as the objective data in ordinal or nominal scale. For aggregating these mixed data a neuro-fuzzy model is employed. WebUse approach is implemented in a MS EXCEL software tool. A case study for evaluation of a web site by this approach is carried out. The analysis of experimental results showed that the approach supports the analysis of web sites and allocation of usability problems. A comparison of WebUse approach with a conventional evaluation approach showed significant better performance for WebUse. The main advantage of WebUse is the combination of objective and subjective usability parameters which improves the reliability of the usability evaluations and thus more usability-related bottlenecks of web sites can be discovered. Further advantage of WebUse is its ability of handling missing data for some usability criteria.

University Websites have been one of the important Websites for students, university personnel, and researchers. However, usability has long been a major concern within Websites. This chapter develops an evaluation approach using usability criteria and the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) for the comparison of Websites in a fuzzy environment. Firstly, alternative Websites are examined by experts using usability criteria in the literature. Then, FAHP is used to determine the usability criteria weights from subjective and imprecise judgments of the experts. Finally, Websites are compared based on usability criteria weights.

This paper presents a model of usability evaluation based on fuzzy logic which results from a need to establish a common approach to deal with the usability evaluation of various kinds of systems. The model definition arises from the methodology of fuzzy usability evaluation that was presented in the previous research of the authors. As a result of a particular evaluation, usability score is obtained. The score combines various factors affecting the usability of target system. The authors demonstrate the model on the example of usability evaluation of Web portals. Paper also includes results and analysis of the case study and validation of the proposed model.
In order to determine the quality of any web application in the world, Usability is the one of the most important tool that one can use. Web analysis perform several inspections on the websites and software and use usability criteria to determine some faults on the systems. Usability engineering has being important tool for the companies as well, this is due to the fact that through usability engineering companies can improve their market level by making their products and services more accessible. Know days there some web application and software products which are complex and very sophisticated, hence usability can be able to determine their success or failure. However currently usability has been among the important goal for the Web engineering research and much attention is given to usability by the industry due to recognition of the importance of adopting usability evolution methods before and after deployment. Moreover several literature has proposed several techniques and methods for evaluating web usability. And however there is no agreement yet in the software on which usability evolution method is better than the other. Extensive usability evaluation is usually not feasible for the case of web development process. In other words unusable website increases the total cost of ownership, and therefore this paper introduces principles and evaluation methods to be used during the whole application lifecycle, so as to enhance usability of web applications. Web usability arose as research field at the very beginning of the Internet era. The term "Internet" was formally defined in October 1995; nevertheless Nielsen wrote his first article on web usability in May 1995, and looking in the newsgroup archives at groups.google.com we can find a promotional message (http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?hl=enl Nielsen and Molich, 1990; Nielsen, 1994) have been working on developing heuristics to support human evaluation of web sites. This paper builds upon the existing theory to develop a quantitative approach to usability evaluation of web sites.
Graphical user interfaces design in software development process focuses on maximizing usability and the user's experience, in order to make the interaction for users easy, flexible and efficient. In this paper, we propose an approach for evaluating the usability satisfaction degree of a web-based system. The proposed method has been accomplished in two phases and implemented on an airlines website as a case study. In the first phase, a website usability test is implemented by a number of users, and then the results obtained are translated into charts for a final web-based system evaluation in the second phase. The results achieved were satisfactory, since the places where the weaknesses and gaps in the website are identified and recommended solutions to avoid them are drawn. The authenticity of the results have been confirmed by comparing them with user opinions acquired from a questionnaire, which proves the precision in which the website is rated.
This paper presents results of the usability evaluation performed according to the methodology of fuzzy usability evaluation that was presented in the previous research of the authors. As a result of a particular evaluation, a usability score is obtained. The score combines various factors affecting the usability of target system. The authors demonstrate the methodology on the example of usability evaluation of Information Systems of Public administration – Web portals. Paper includes results of the case study, its analysis, validation and conclusions.
Usability is one of the major factors that determines the successfulness of a website. It is important therefore to have certain measurement methods to assess the usability of websites. The methods could be used to help website designers make their websites more usable. This research focuses on website usability issues and implements a tool for evaluating the usability of websites, called WEBUSE (WEBsite USability Evaluation Tool). Based on literature research, a 24-question evaluation questionnaire has been formulated. The questionnaire is implemented as a Web-based tool. Visitors' of a website can use it to evaluate the usability of the website. The visitors' responses to the questionnaire are analysed. The results of the analysis show the good and bad usability aspects of the website. Website designers and developers can improve their websites based on these results. WEBUSE is suitable for the evaluation of all types of websites. Evaluation provided by WEBUSE is reliable and has received favourable user satisfaction and acceptance.

Having an own Calendar is not only a firm testimony of someone’s ability to measure the time and natural cycles, but it is also a proof of a distinct religious, spiritual and animistic tradition of a particular ethnicity or larger community of kindred people (i.e. nation). Because, the possession of particular names for the Zodiac signs, months and days of the week in someone’s own idiom defines precisely not only the existence of their particular Calendar, but also a possession of a particular common language. And the possession of a common language is in fact the basis of a nationality, just as the possession of a common government is the basis of a nation. Every distinct ethnicity/nationality in first instance is defined by its own language, traditions and beliefs. The ancient Macedonian Calendar per se is exactly that kind of unmistakable proof, of the existence of a distinct Macedonian language spoken by the renowned Macedonian people, with their own and particular Macedonian traditions, with their own Pantheon, Calendar and Zodiac, distinct from the neighboring ones.
