EDITORIAL-MOTIVATIONAL FACTORS AND CAREER Career changes are almost always related to motivation processes. The dynamics of motivation, too, need to be interpreted from the forms of tension that move both the individual and the organizations. There is undoubtedly a parallel between expectations, attitudes and behavior that works as a convincing explanation for broader forms of motivation. However, there is some consensus among authors that there is an intrinsic meaning to each individual, which involves personality reasons, as the engine for taking an attitude, both unexpected and planned. The article "Factors of career decision during graduation" of the teachers Edna Torres de Araújo, Marcia Athayde Moreira, Sergio Castro Gomes, Maria Luzia Pantoja Aquime, from universities in the states of Amazonas and Pará, which opens this edition aims to understand as undergraduates in management and accounting courses plan their careers. The starting point of this research is the perception that the process of professional choice depends on a complex network of motivational factors. In a quantitative format, the sample from this study applied questionnaires to 526 students from a private HEI in Belém-Pa. The data from the application of the questionnaires were treated with factor analysis, reducing the 22 assertions originally elaborated in five key decision factors, named in this work Decision Factors: network and personal vision, career security, career development and design, skills and competencies and an emphasis on professional success. The results of the research, based on descriptive statistics, highlighted the main ideas of the students, considering 10 assertive ones that obtained, on average, scores above 4 points (meaning majority of agreement). In general, management and accounting students who participated in the research feel responsible for the decisions that will lead to the professional career and are aware that to develop the career they must be responsible for the continuous updating of knowledge, having a clear meaning of work , career goals and how they will develop after the course ends.

A model of decision-making is suggested as a potential tool for assisting people in the process of career decision-making. The model is based on the subjective meaning of the values involved in the decision. Two experiments were carried out. In the first, university students had to decide on their major. In the second experiment, ninth-grade pupils had to decide about their future high school studies. Both decisions were actual ones. The suggested model was found to have high predictive power regarding the actual choices made. The possible applications of the model as a counseling tool are discussed.

A profession, occupation, trade, or vocation are all frequently referred to using the word "career." It shapes our future and this decision is one of the most crucial decisions a student or even a person can make. This study aims to find out the factors that influence a person’s career decision making process. Here we will go through different factors that our participants highlight and then evaluate based on their answers how much or little or even no effect it has on them. Factors like Age, Gender & Class (Grade) are taken as baselines so that there is little to no influence of these factors on the dataset we collected from our participants.

Career management as a lifelong lasting process becomes very actual in today’s modern society because of many reasons. In a general sense, the environment becomes turbulent; therefore it is natural that career environment, basically, is chaotic as well. Nevertheless, career for many people is, undoubtedly, very important, because it is directly related to life quality. Professional activity satisfies almost all human needs: physiological, safety, social, attainment, self-realisation, independence, autonomy and other. The efficiency of the mentioned activity and the ability of the personality to construct his career are closely related things. Individual’s career process studies have become especially popular recently, because deeper career perception helps to understand the most important relations between man and work, career management and constant learning, helps not only to know person’s abilities, but also the abilities to give oneself to modern environment, to understand career projection possibilities, to plan one’s professional future. Seeking to analyse final-year university student position regarding career questions, a written form survey was carried out. The research was carried out between September 2015 and March 2016. The research sample (185) was structured applying a consecutive ‘bunch’ system. The respondents from three Lithuanian universities Klaipėda, Vilnius and Šiauliai, were selected in the sample. Professional career parameters were evaluated: career management competency, study influence and work values. The research is grounded on a mixed strategy, when quantitative and qualitative research approaches are combined. The obtained results, based on qualitative analysis, are presented in this research.
Student career decision-making has attracted research attention in the last two decades especially when it comes to choosing tertiary education. Despite the importance of decision-making skills, there are still limited studies exploring this phenomenon in practice. Therefore, this study aims to explore the potential role of three different platforms including family, learning, and technological environments on the career decisions of university students. A survey about career choices was designed in order to identify the agreement levels of university students in Bosnian higher institutions. The study findings for students' career choices indicate a positive overall picture. Both family and technological environments were found to be influential on students career choices. However, no impact from learning environment was identified. In order to generalize the findings, further research is required involving other contexts and subject groups. Only by systematically investigating...
