Photo inspiration at The Paper Shelter

Good morning all

It seems like so long since I have been here - and it is!

Four weeks is a long time in blogland and although I had some scheduled posts that I tweeked a bit while I was away on my holiday in Florida and I called in every now and then to comment - I think its now actually five weeks since I last blogged properly - I have so much catching up to do - not just here - everywhere!!

It's my teams week at

The Paper Shelter

and our theme is a photo inspiration

Take from it whatever you like! - the colours, theme, whatever it says to you

This is what it said to me lol!!
Sunny blue skies, some greens, beige  and purples - a touch of white and orange - and there just has to be a mouse in that thatch somewhere

This cute little digi is called Seas of Plenty and is available HERE
the backing paper I used is also part of the set
I just decided to keep it fairly simple as there really is a lot going on with that image - I just coloured it and fussy cut it out then mounted it on foam squares for a little volume

As always we have a fab prize for you at TPS

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

This is what I did....

Image and backing paper - Seas of plenty from The Paper Shelter
Coloured with copics
Blue card - Bazzill Basics
Sentiment stamp - from  nautical set by Papermania
Label from MFT
Heart banner - die from La La Land
Ribbon and gems from my stash

I'm hoping to get round to visiting and catching up with you all over the next few days - I wish I could say it's good to be back - but at the minute I'm just stressed to bits trying to catch up with everything that I need to do!!

Hugs

We want to see anything but a card at The Paper Shelter

Good Morning all
I hope you are all bright and breezy today and that this scheduled post has behaved and arrived where it should - when it should!  I'm still off on my holly - bobs in Florida enjoying lots of R& R and lovely sunshine : )

We have  a new challenge starting at

we want to see

 Anything But a Card

I though I'd show you a really quick and easy way to make some tags with  the paper packs available at TPS see here - I have made Christmas tags but there are lots of paper sets available in the store that could be used in the same way

I have used the Ultimate Christmas Papers available here
there are 12 in the set in total - great for lots of Christmas projects as well as cards

I simply sized the the paper before I printed it so that it would fit into my tag die (though you could easily just cut tag shapes without a die), cut another tag shape slightly larger out of some Kraft card and  punched a hole through each after I'd lined then up.  I also inked round the edge of the printed tags with distress ink just to give some definition.  Finally I cut some watching ribbons - two for each tag. and threaded it through the hole - I used vintage seam binding though different ribbons would give different effects.  It was really as simple as that.  I think it would also be a great idea to make matching boxes or bags using the same papers sized and printed to fit - I'll definitely do this with these at Christmas and make my bags and boxes to fit the gifts.

As always at TPS there is  great prize on offer

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

This is what I did....

Tag dies - Dienamics from My Favourite things
Ribbons - vintage seam binding ribbons from crafty ribbons
Distress ink - Tea dye from Tim Holtz
Kraft Card from Crafters Companion
Papers from TPS - The Ultimate Christmas Papers
The Ultimate Christmas Papers

I hope I've inspired you to make something a little different - I know a lot of people don't like the "C" word mentioned in June - for me I think Christmas crafting all year round is a bonus - a great way for you to be organised this year!

Looking forward to seeing all your crafty creations!

hugs

Good morning all

It's our 6th birthday over at

Moving along with the Times

I have a pretty floral card to share with you today that I made with stamps and dies and the matching paper pad from Heartfelt creations  - a birthday present I got this year that I just loved!!
It's a big 8x8 card that really makes a statement IRL with all of those die cut flowers
it's one that I really enjoyed making

Here's what I did....

Dies - Heartfelt creations Botanical  wings, butterfly wings and Botanical Rose
Paper - hearfelt creations - Butterfly medley
Stamps - Heartfelt creations - Botanical Rose and Botanical wings
Coloured with TH DI - spun sugar, milled lavender, mustard seed, bundled sage and shabby shutters
The leaf dies are Anna Griffin
The label is from Hearfelt creations all occasions stamp set

I hope you come and join in with our birthday celebrations

Challenges I'm entering with this card

Aud sentiments - bingo and sentiment (middle row)
As you like it - favourite flower - and why - I love flowers that grow wild - I think there's nothing more lovely than a field of wild flowers - these I think are like briar roses.
