Motorcyclists are more prone to crash injuries than car drivers because motorcycles are unenclosed, leaving riders vulnerable to contact hard road surfaces. This study was conducted based on safety helmet issues among adolescents. Theory on behavioral sciences like Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) is useful in understanding why adolescent motorcyclist regardless helmet safety usage. A cross-sectional study was carried out with a sample size of 288 adolescents was chosen in this study. The data collected were carried using a questionnaire survey. The descriptive analysis shows, more than half of respondents are those aged between 17 to 18 years old. Majority (80%) of them do not have motorcycle licenses. This means that they are riding a motorcycle without a basic knowledge of road traffic regulations. Over 65% respondents were riding a motorcycle every day or almost daily during the last 12 months. The correlation analysis shows, there are strong positive relationship between intention and behaviour of respondent. Sometimes they wear helmets, however rarely to wear helmets especially in a short distance (less than 2 km). In addition, the hierarchical multiple regression analysis shows all variables including descriptive norm were found significant (p<0.05), except perceived behaviour control shows insignificant relationship to intention to use a safety helmet. As conclusion, attitude, subjective norm and intention remained a significant predictor of behaviour. However, perceived behaviour control and descriptive norm were not significant in predicting such behaviour (safety helmet usage)

Nowadays, Malaysia facing with an explosive growth in vehicle ownership and utilization,
which led to traffic congestion and pollution. In this situation, government policy encourages people to
use public transportation. However, Malaysia are prefer to use private vehicle become many reasons
including bad quality of services. In this regard, public transport operators are forced to place emphasis
on the monitoring and improvements of the services provided. This study focuses on traveler’s
satisfaction and preference towards public transport with service quality attributes. Self rate
questionnaire was used to investigate overall customer satisfaction and factor that influence public
transport users’ satisfaction. A survey was conducted on an actual public transportation network in
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The aim was to evaluate the parameters in passenger preference and
satisfaction on public transportation network using statistical model included variable such as facilities,
comfortness and quality of services. Data were analyzed using descriptive, correlation, factor and
multiple regression analysis. Result show that influences of satisfaction parameters are more than
preference parameters. The application of this study suggest that the public transport operation
especially buses must improve their quality of services to the prospect passengers.

Problems associated with traffic, such as traffic congestion has occurred in Putrajaya due to
the increased use of cars. Park-and-Ride (P&R) facility has been introduced to minimize private car into
the CBD area. This study is to examine the factors that are influence car users and introducing several
new policies (exclusive bus lane and parking charges at worksite parking) to shift to Park and Ride in
Putrajaya. The finding were discussed time and cost saving are the important factors to influence car
users to use P&R facility. The percentage of car users will shift to P&R was considered high if the bus
lane and parking charges are implemented. Introducing exclusive bus lanes will increase the
effectiveness (such as punctuality and frequency) of the busses, meanwhile, introducing parking charges
will make car user pay more and will increasing their travel cost. To make P&R scheme more
successful, introducing exclusive bus lanes and parking charge are the most relevant policy to shift car
users to use P&R.

Road accidents are common issues each year. Human factors are the highest contributing factor to the road accidents which are mostly from the drivers’ attitude such as excessive speeding. To mitigate this problem, a government has been implemented Automated Enforcement System (AES). This study aims to identify the factors that contributed to the AES acceptance among drivers and the acceptance level of AES based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The correlation and regression analysis were used in this study. The questionnaire survey was designed based on the Driver Behavior Questionnaire (DBQ) and TAM. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed among 226 car driver as a respondent. The results show that the most dominant factor is perceived easy of acceptance compared with the acceptance level of respondent towards AES. Therefore, the authority might able to adapt and continue using AES monitoring method as a measure to carry out traffic offence enforcement activities.

An increase in population generates increasing in travel demand. In Malaysia, public transport become an important modes of transport that connection people. This paper presents behavioural intention to use public transport especially public bus based on Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB). A questionnaire survey was conducted to identify factors that contribute and influence users to use public bus and to determine factor that most dominant using TPB model. A total of 282 questionnaires were distributed in selected area of Batu Pahat and Kluang. Correlation and regression analysis were used for this study. Results show that the Attitude toward public transport is the most dominant factor compared with Subjective Norm and Perceived Behavior Control that influencing users to use public bus. Majority respondents were agreed that they prefer to use public bus because it is cheap to travel and no other choices of other transfer modes. As for the recommendation, this study can be extended in future as part of strategic sustainable transportation system in Batu Pahat and Kluang areas.

The gap-acceptance method is the common approach to assess the performance of the priority intersection which is implemented
to regulate low volume of traffic flow. However, among the drawbacks of the gap-acceptance method are the non-compliance to
the right of way, and the heterogeneous traffic condition. Conflict method has been developed to overcome these shortcomings.
Surveillance equipment is used to obtain the required data, such as traffic volume and occupation time. The occupation time and
approaching time of vehicle are used to calculate the capacity of vehicular movements for each conflict group. The results from
intersections with flare and without flare are provided. Result comparison has also been made between the conflict method and
the HCM 2000. The relationship between the occupation time and critical gap is discovered. The results of the conflict method
are found to be comparable with the HCM 2000 using field data.
