The weekend is here. I am writing this post just before we set off to take both sets of parents out for a meal. Everyone is so busy this is the best time for us to get together for Father's Day. My daughter will be joining us too. Tomorrow I will be mostly making wedding invitations. I have finished one set and they have been delivered.
Today I am sharing the card that I made for my husband for Father's Day. He doesn't like a lot of fuss but he doesn't mind getting a card. In fact on the day we are going to a Craft Show in Portsmouth we are seeing a film and having a meal after so it will be a bit more of a treat for him. On to the card.
I started with an 8" x 8" card blank. I wanted to use lots of textures as I had a challenge I wanted to enter in mind. I used three embossing folder and a Sue Wilson border die to add the texture.
The stamp I used is from Visible Image it is the Classic Car. I stamped it in black and heat embossed it with a clear powder and then I coloured it with Promarkers.
This die is a Signature die from Joanna Sheen I hadn't used it before I was very pleased with how it cuts.
This sentiment is from Visible Image as well. It might not be quite right for Father's Day but I have been itching to put this on a card for my husband for ages.
I would like to enter this for Challenge 74 at Cardz 4 Guyz.
I hope you have a great weekend. I am sure I will be telling you how we get on today at some point. Thank you for putting up with all my ramblings.
Happy Crafting
