Even Snowmen like Coffee!

The first of the month means a brand new Fan Club Christmas Challenge at Splitcoaststampers and I am playing along with the Free 4 All challenge at SCS.

I chose this darling snowman by Impression Obsession and added clothing accessories.  The background is this wonderful snowball reverse background die.  You might be surprised by what I used for the snowy ground!  I used one of the dies from this waves set! Isn't it fun to find different ways to use our stamps and dies?  I decided a snowcat was needed to finish off the scene.  Lastly, from the reindeer set, I add a bow to the cat's neck.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Joy

I have had so much fun creating with dies lately!  The Impression Obsession store is full of dies for all occasions.  I really love the interesting shapes of the new tags.  Isn't this one cool with the point at the bottom and it even comes with this fun shaped hole reinforcement!  I like to use tags on cards but it would look fabulous on a package!
Lastly, I decorated the tag with the pretty candy cane and word, joy.

I Spy

It's time for another Old is New segment at Impression Obsession.  I chose this very detailed Fall stamp to feature today!  This is such a fun image.  This is one of those stamps that more is revealed as you color.  Sort of like a page from an I spy book!  I used to love to look at those books with kids and see how many things we could find.  Since those days are gone how about I leave you with a challenge.  One, can you spy my favorite animal?  Two, can you spy an apple with a worm coming out of it?  Yep, it's there, cracked me up!
For the sentiment, I used the individual words from this fabulous Fall set!

Two for the Price of One

Happy Weekend!  Stacy is this week's Inspiration Challenge hostess at SCS.  She has taken us to a fabulous site with loads of inspiration!  I found amazing cups to inspire me.  IRL I love dishware, chunky mugs, fine china, glass plates, you name it, I love dishes and cups! Some of my personal favorites are a black mug in the shape of a cat, a mug with blue art and perfectly smooth glazing. The mugs with the names of the colleges my kids attend are fun.  A pink kitty mug my daughter brought home from her Disney trip is high on my favorite list...oh well, I have too many favorites you are going to lose interest if I keep listing them!  :)

So when I saw the stamp and die for this big coffee mug I couldn't wait to add color!  I stamped part of this gorgeous bouquet stamp on the mug and colored it with Copics.  I know I love relaxing with a yummy cup of coffee and pondering life, so I added this encouraging sentiment.

Same mug, same pattern, and the sentiment is from the same set as above but I changed the background and added a doily.  Which one do you like best?

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you in the IC gallery!

Winter Encouragement

Hi!  I am this week's hostess for the Free For All Challenge at SCS.  This week my challenge is to create a winter encouragement card.  December can be such a fun month but it can also be a difficult month for many of our friends and family members.  So why not get ahead of the December rush and make a few NON-Christmas cards to have on hand.  Imagine having a winter encouragement card in your stash and not having to rush to create one for an unexpected occasion!

I would love it if you joined us over at SCS for the challenge.  It's free to register and you get your own gallery to add all of your cards.

My winter encouragement is this darling penguin die cut all dressed up in his winter apparel.  He is holding a heart and sending hugs!  I framed him with my favorite stitched frame and even added some festive holly to his hat.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a closer look at my penguin!

Hey There Pumpkin how about a new IO Challenge?

It's time for a new challenge at Impression Obsession!  This time our theme is Harvest Treats (fruits and vegetables).  My harvest treat is this beautiful pumpkin from this versatile Fall set.  I love that this set includes images in square frames, sentiments and four stand-alone images.

This card was quick and easy to make with the help of a watercolor paper pack and Impression Obsession Tag Dies.  I stamped the pumpkin directly on the background paper and then adhered it to this beautiful loopy tag.  After adhering the pumpkin to the tag I added a little bit of ground beneath the pumpkin with Copic Marker.  The background tag was made with this tag die which includes the fun hole reinforcement which I wrapped around the loopy tag layer.

The Impression Obsession Challenge is open to all with just a few simple rules.  You can find all the details here along with a list of Design Team participants!  I hope to see your Harvest Treats card in the IO Challenge link-up!

Picket Fence Studios Release in Full Color

It's the 14th and that means it's time for Picket Fence Studios new release!  Wow did I ever have fun with this month's release!  I used a stencil and Life Changing Blender Brushes (also sold as a full set) for each card I am featuring today, two new stencils and one previously released.  I will quit blabbing and get right to it!

First up I used warm distress ink colors with this fun geometric stencil.  I used the new Always word die and a sentiment from the super cute chameleon set for the sentiment.  I chose this squirrel from this adorable set and coordinating die because he makes me laugh.  He probably ran so fast that he tumbled head over heels.  Always be yourself even if it means you fall on your face once in a while!

For my next card, I am featuring the first Chameleon and his coordinating die in the new lizard series at Picket Fence Studios!  Isn't he a hoot?  First I created a sky background with this cloud stencil.  Psst, don't tell anyone but this is my favorite cl
oud stencil because of all the different shapes you can make!
Next, I die cut the flowers from this new die negative.  I placed pink cardstock behind my focal layer and then I die cut the petals three more times, colored them, shaped them and adhered them into the openings. Lastly, I colored Charlie as he is blending in with his surroundings.

For my last project, I used this elegant flower circle stencil as a frame and die cut an opening.  I added the elegant lady in the center opening, masked her and brushed on Salty Ocean Distress Ink with a Life-Changing Blending Brush. Lastly, I added a sentiment from this fun sentiment set.

I am entering this into this week's CAS challenge at SCS to add drama!

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at the new Picket Fence Studios Release!

Blue is Beautiful

It's Saturday and that means it's time for a new Inspiration Challenge at SCS and this week I am the hostess!  Stop by my gallery post for all the links.

My inspiration was two beautiful blue metal trunks.  I used just three blue markers to color this fun clothing stamp.  One of the fun things to note about this stamp is that it is a repeating background stamp so you can match up the edges for seamless stamping and create an entire background!  I chose to stamp it just once for this card but oh, the possibilities!  Since blue metal trunks inspired my coloring I chose a sentiment from this fun bluebonnet stamp set. That's it.  Easy Peasy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I would be delighted to see what you create from the inspiration at SCS so make sure and let me know you played along!
