Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge - Silhouette

Happy Saturday and a nice long weekend for those of us in the States!!  Do you have any plans for the extra day off?  Sadly DH has to work but I plan to sleep in just a tiny bit.  6AM is JUST NOT my thing, 7:30 is fine but not 6!  :)

If you find you have some time on your hands I have an idea how you can fill it! How about playing along with Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge?  This week we are creating with "silhouette" stamps!  I found myself still in a CAS mode so I went One layer with this challenge.

Stamps Used:
Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps: Marsh Silhouettes and Dragonflies

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Monday - Nativity

Hello there! I hope you had a great weekend!  It's Monday and time for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps  Monday Inspiration!

I have fallen behind on creating my Christmas card goal so I thought it was time to ink up this beautiful image: JJ0081 Nativity.

This was so fun and easy to create that I think I can make quite a few more and mat them in different colors.

I hope you will stop on by Prickley Pear Rubber stamps blog and view the lovely designs my teammates have created this week!

Speedy Fox & Friends - Clean and Simple

Hi there!  Happy Saturday to you!

It's been a hectic week filled with lots of time spent in our vehicle carting my teens from place to place.  I have learned to embrace these moments and not fight them!  I get to spend a lot of time chatting with my "almost" grown ups as we go from place to place!  I even received a "thank you" from one of them this week!  A mom's treasure!!!

It's a lovely Saturday and that means I get to share with you a card I created for  Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge.  This week our challenge is to create a CAS or Clean and Simple card.

I used the heart image from the Keys stamp set for my clean and simple card added a few frosted gems and I called it done!

I hope you will check out Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge blog to see my teammate's beautiful                                 designs and you can find out how to enter your creation this week!

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps - Retread

Hello!!!  Happy Monday to you!  Today I have a card to share that was loads of fun to create!
I took my inspiration from a gorgeous card by Dina Kowal (link below).  At first I attempted to create a close CASE of her card but after my bg didn't turn out the way I wanted (twice), I decided to come up with a new plan that included "Retread", PPRS's adorable black cat!

After I had placed Retread and the blocks it didn't take long for me to find the perfect PPRS sentiment in CLR001 Butterflies Clear Set .  The shape of the sentiment fits perfectly in the open block space and I think the sentiment goes well with these zany black cats!

There is more inspiration at  Prickley Pear Rubber stamps blog so I hope you will hop on over and see what my teammates have created this week!

TFL!

Speedy Fox & Friends - 9 Square Puzzle

Hello!  I hope you are enjoying a great weekend!

It's time for  Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge and this week's challenge is a 9 Square background!  I have a funny story to go along with this card but first let me tell you how the background was created.  Using water color paper, I heat embossed the background stamp from Cracked Hello then water colored the background using TH Distress Markers.  The sentiment is from Glad Glads.

Funny story: After my background layer dried, I cut it up...........ummmmm......NOT a great idea.  I should have marked the back because once I had it all cut up it became the worst sort of puzzle to put together again!  I probably could have made 3 more backgrounds in the time it took me to figure out how the "puzzle" went back together but I am a stubborn thing and I wasn't gong to let my background go to waste!  Honestly, I am not sure anyone would have been able to tell if I had not gotten it back together perfectly, the cracked bg is pretty forgiving but I couldn't rest until I had it right!

Now that I have given you a crafting tip and chuckle with my true tale how about checking out Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge blog to see my teammate's beautiful designs and you can find out how to enter your creation this week!

                                                                Challenges Entered:

I am playing along with Simon Says Stamp Challenge to create a card that makes me think of summer                                                                so I went with butterflies!

I am also playing along with Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes.

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp Monday Inspirtion

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend and are ready to jump into another week!  It's our first full week of school this week including evening activities, ready or not!

I love this delicate image of GG0187 Black Capped Chickadees, but I took a bit of artistic license and I made them blue birds!  I am fascinated with the gorgeous blue birds I get to see on my walks.  Our neighbor gets them in her yard but we never see them in ours, I am guessing because we have too many trees and not enough open spaces.

I added a sentiment from CLR047 Mini Vases clear set, and die cut flowers with PPRS-D012 Flowers Die Set.  The border is Cheery Lynn burlap border.

I created this with a little help from Dina's DTGD challenge at Splitcoaststampers. It was a fun week full of inky inspiration!

I hope you will stop on by Prickley Pear Rubber stamps blog and view the lovely designs my teammates have created this week!

Speedy Fox - Razzle Dazzle and a Feather

Happy Saturday everyone!  Well the first week of school is in the books and we are off to a good start at our house.  This has been a super fun week to play along with DTGD challenges at Splitcoaststampers and I even had the privilege of hostessing a challenge!

I created my card for this week's  Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge with a little help from Sylvia's (DTGD14~Fee~) challenge at Splitcoasstampers.  I used the wrinkle free distress technique to achieve my color layer.  I mixed TH Broken China distress Ink and TH Dusty Concord marker on my craft mat, spritzed with water then swished the layer through the ink and let dry. I heat embossed the feather from "Be a Showoff" with white EP.

I hope you will stop on by Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge to see what the team has created and find out how you can play along!

TFL and enjoy your weekend!

Speedy Fox - Background

Happy Saturday!  It's been a busy week and it's not going to slow down any time soon so let's hop right to our challenge, shall we?

This week at Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge we are creating our own stamped backgrounds.  I have to say that Cracked Hello is high on my list as a favorite background stamp.  I stamped the background with Versamark Watermark then heat embossed with white EP.  I achieved the fun color by using TH Distress Markers and water.

I rescued the pumpkin from the reject bin.  This pumpkin was colored over a year ago for the Autumn Splendor release (but never used) with the "no line" technique!  My pumpkin was fussy cut last year so i cut a layer from mixed media paper, water colored a shadow and popped up the pumpkin and there you have it!

I hope you will stop on by Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge to see the fabulous creations of my teammates and to play along!

Today is the FIRST day of DTGD at Splitcoaststampers!!!  With this card I am playing along with Julie's challenge.  We have 7 fun days ahead, I am hostessing a challenge on Monday and there are prizes up for grabs so I hope to see you there!
