He is Risen..

Without the cross there would be no Easter.

Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and saw the stone already taken away from the tomb. So she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do knot know where they have laid Him. John 1: 20

My Easter Weekend

Previously on MadSnapper you read about my quest for a comfy chair.
Hubby loves the new chair. For me it still hurts.

My mother, her sister and now myself, suffer from Apple on toothpick body style. We also have no bottom to speak of, and a tail bone that is extended to far... when sitting on hard surfaces aforesaid tail bone HURTS. Due to lower spine and left hip Arthritis, I have 3 pressure points that hurt when sitting.

Enter The Dunce..see above lower right corner... I purchased for 10 dollars a FIVE ZONE mattress pad guaranteed to help with pressure points.

Hubby cut the pad in 3 pieces.... Above dunce CHEWED the middle out of one while we were trying out the other one on above chair.

(Dunce better known as Baby Girl, said it was Daddy's fault because he laid it on the sofa, which is her kingdom and she thought it was hers)

To protect Said Five Zone Pad from above Dunce, I was forced to drop it inside a mu-mu that is never worn.... (ugly as it is, it works great on sofa, rocker and desk chairs.)

Is MadSnapper creative or what?  Aren't you glad I don't wear this pad cover?

Do you think Baby or Bob is guilty?

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.

Come and see the place where he lay.

Martha's Bunnies

At my favorite Rehab Center, Martha has been at the front desk for 17 years. This is what I found this week when I went to visit my PhotoShop guru, Rich.
Each year Martha collects bunnies and the first of April they cover her area. On Easter Sunday, each resident is given a bunny. They all come when she  puts them on display and have their names put on the ones they want. First Come First Serve is the motto.
Martha hits garage sales and thrift stores all year long. This year she has 84 to give away and a lot more that are her personal decorations, like the one above.

The one above is my choice, it is a basket and a bunny, below is Rich's choice since he loves all things NASCAR.  See the blue tag? that has his name on it. Don't all macho men LOVE NASCAR Bunnies?

MadSnapper Trivia:
When my sons were 3 and 5 years old, my dad took them with him to the Feed store to buy his seeds. He came home with 2 tiny bunnies, we named them Peanut and Thumper.
NEXT year he came home with 2 tiny CHICKS.  Daddy, what were you thinking? We live in the city limits. NO CHICKENS ALLOWED….  They grew really fast, so what to do? What to do?
I called a family friend who had a chicken farm, told my boys, our chicks were lonely and Katy’s had a wonderful big place for them to live. We drove over and she played along and made a big story of the happy life the chicks would have, and put them in her chicken coop. You know the rest of the story

What Easter Means to me...

The Last Supper, Jesus agonizes in the Garden, Judal Betrays Jesus and Peter Denies Knowing Him

Jesus is tried, Mocked and dies hanging on the cross

this cross is in a sharp turn in the road and was put their by the homeowner as a warning. This cross made from reflectors and wood, is also reminder to us of the reason for Easter.
He Died for us, He Arose from the Dead and He will Return for us.

1 Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. 2 She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, “They have taken the Lord’s body out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”
3 Peter and the other disciple started out for the tomb. 4 They were both running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 He stooped and looked in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he didn’t go in. 6 Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, 7 while the cloth that had covered Jesus’ head was folded up and lying apart from the other wrappings. 8 Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed—9 for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead.
