Viva Glam Gaga 2

The second Viva Glam Gaga lipstick was released last week, so I headed out on Saturday to purchase it.
The Viva Glam Gaga 2 lipglass was also released at the same time and if I remember correctly, the first Viva Glam Gaga lipglass wasn't released until after the Viva Glam Gaga lipstick came out.

The lipstick is a peach/beige-nude with an amplified finish.

I'm not a huge lipgloss person, but this lipglass is very creamy, not sticky and has very fine shimmer.

Most of my lipstick collection is made up of nudes. I've tried to find a dupe because VG Gaga 2 is being compared to so many other lipsticks but I really own nothing like it. Peachstock (my favorite) looks like it may be in the same family, but it is a lot more peachy and darker. (VG Gaga 2 is actually a bit more on the pink side than how it showed up).

Both the lipstick and lipglass are $14.50 and are limited edition (they will be available for about a year).
Remember that the money raised will go to the MAC AIDS Fund.

I will feature this lipstick in a future FOTD.

Will you guys be purchasing this lipstick?

M·A·C: Wonder Woman

My Wonder Woman package finally got here a couple of days ago.
I was anxiously waiting for it and think it got delayed because of the blizzard.
I only got three things:

I like the box packaging better than the compact packaging lol.
It reminds me of children's makeup, but it's what's inside that counts.

First things first, this msf is huge! (0.70 oz.)
If you have a light complexion you can use the trio as a highlight, bronzer & blush, but you can also mix them together to create different shades.
The blush can work as a nice highlight on darker skin tones.
I think these shades can be dupable so if you can't get your hands on it you can probably find other products that will work just as well.
It is nice however to have a trio like this to throw in your makeup bag & for traveling so that you don't have to haul around tons of makeup.
I really like the lipstick packaging, I love the red star detail against the gold on the top part of the tube.

This lipstick is a pinky-nude with a lustre finish.
If Hue (satin) and The Faerie Glen l/e (lustre) had a baby it'd be Marquise d'.

This lipstick is a deep magenta with a satin finish.
It has more red undertones than Petals & Peacocks l/e (amplified).

The collection launches in stores and counters tomorrow.
Have you guys pick up anything from this collection yet?
If not, what's on your list?

M·A·C Haul: Cham Pale, M·A·C + Mickey Contractor & Peacocky Collections

I'm so glad this post is finally up! It took a long time for me to work on it because I was sick when I started it and then I put it off to the side.
I bought everything when it came out so I've had plenty of time to use everything.
You can still find some of these things online or at a MAC store or counter.

Chez Chez Lame is a light gold Special Reserve Highlight with shimmer. It applies smooth with an off white sheen.

Yash is peachy-beige matte lipstick. It's actually pretty creamy and not drying.

These Kissable Lipcolours have been described as a liquid lipstick and I couldn't agree more. I only got Woo Me but I loved it so much that I got a back up. It's a pinky-beige and pretty opaque. It reminds me a lot of Hue.
Paparazz-she was the first Mega Metal Shadow that I added to my cart because it's nothing like anything else I own. This eye shadow is an orange-copper and very pigmented with a metallic sheen.

Spectacle of Yourself is a cross between a chocolate brown and a bronze. It is a very pigmented eye shadow and also has a metallic sheen.

Centre Stage is a bronzy-chocolate brown, also very pigmented and with a metallic sheen.

I would have to say that my favorite products from this haul were Chez Chez Lame, Woo Me and Paparazz-she. Did any of you get anything from any of these collections?

Here I Am, So Take Me As I Am.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful, safe holiday. While I was getting ready on New Year's Eve I was able to take the picture below in Photo Booth. My camera battery was dead...I really need to find my back-up. Anyway, I've been inspired by Nicki Minaj a lot lately. I must admit when I first heard of her I wasn't a big fan but I really do like her now. I admire her bold fashion/makeup looks and she's a total nutcase, so I like her even more haha...
I bought my Melody Ehsani earrings from Urban Outfitters. I had a discount code so I got them for a little less than the original price. I absolutely love them! They're really different from the other earrings I own and are definitely a statement piece.
I was originally going to wear my hair up, but wasn't feeling it so I wore it down, which is probably a good thing, because I was poking people with my earrings as I gave them their New Year's hug, so I don't recommend too much human contact when wearing these haha...

Anyway, the look I was going for is the one below. (I wish it was easier to tell from the picture above)...I'm wearing MAC's Pink Friday lipstick...which I thought was originally called Pink 4 Friday, but mine just says
Pink Friday :o/ I realized I didn't have any glitter for my lower lash line (because I'm not a huge glitter fan), so I bought an Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter eyeliner in Glam Rock. It went on really well and lasted all night (I applied two coats on each side).

I'm also very excited to say that I won Expensive Pink's giveaway! YAY! My prize is a $25 MAC gift card. If you don't already follow Phylicia's blog, definitely check her out. It is one of the first blogs I ever followed and one of my favorites!

Speaking of giveaways, thank you to everyone that entered my last giveaway. I will post the winners up within the next two days!

My Favorite Winter Lipstick ♥

I'm glad to say that school is finally over for the semester! I get a few weeks of relaxation before it's back to no sleep and stress...wamp wamp. :o/
I'll probably be working a lot because I would like to quit my job once the new semester starts, but I don't know if I will be able to do that. Either way, I will have a lot more time to blog! That makes me really happy because I have a lot of catching up to do!
I had a chance to take the picture below just before my camera died.

(the words on my face are from my mirror haha...)

I was actually waiting for my ride when I snapped this. I was planning on making a post featuring my favorite Winter lipsticks, but instead decided on a series of my entire lipstick collection.
Above I'm wearing MAC's Viva Glam 2 which is probably my favorite Fall/Winter lip color. The website describes it as a muted pink-beige but I think it has purple undertones (or at least that's how it looks when I apply it), which is why I like it so much. It has a satin finish so it applies fairly smooth and is not too drying.

What's your favorite lipstick right now?

MAC Brule VS. Wet n Wild Brulee

When I was younger I would always get Wet n Wild products because they were affordable so my mom never said no haha...of course the quality wasn't great but I'm very happy that they've stepped up their game! Earlier this year I noticed that they had some new products so I decided to try them out. If I didn't like them, it was only a few bucks wasted. Obviously I wasn't the only one that noticed how great their products are now because it seems like almost everyone is raving about their lipsticks and eye shadows. It's honestly my first stop in the makeup section and has become my favorite drug store brand!
A few months back I was at Jewel with my boyfriend and just happened to pass by the makeup aisle. They were having a ridiculous Wet n Wild sale: all the single eyeshadows and lipsticks were only $1.

I bought about five of them, one being Brulee. I was drawn to it because I thought it'd be a good dupe for MAC's Brule.
MAC $14.50 -OR- $11 in pan form/Satin Finish

Wet n Wild $1.99 (they're usually on sale for less)/Satin Finish
As you can tell by the swatches, they are very similar. They are both really pigmented. The picture below allows you to see the comparison a little better than the ones above.
I had a hard time editing them so that they would be true to color, but Brule has a yellow undertone while Brulee has a pinkish undertone.

Bottom line: If you don't have the money or don't want to spend more than $10 on a MAC eyeshadow, definitely check out Wet n Wild!

M·A·C: The Faerie Glen Lipstick

I was pretty excited when MAC's A Tartan Tale collection came out. After thoroughly looking at the products on their website I realized that I already had a lot of similar products in my own collection. I only picked up a couple of things, one being The Faerie Glen lipstick. I'm pretty much a sucker for anything nude, neutral and pink...

I'm trying hard not to spend more money on makeup that I don't need because I already have so much that I don't use and it's all going to expire anyway. Instead of getting one of the other lipsticks from the collection, that I know I probably won't wear often, I decided to go with something that I'm going to get a lot of use from. I was considering getting Cut A Caper, but I have a lot of peachy pink lipsticks I still have to finish...and now it's sold out anyway lol.

The Faerie Glen is a pale neutral pink and has a Lustre finish.

This is definitely one of my new favorite lipsticks. I'm considering getting a backup!

Spring Favorites!

Since we are only days away from the official start of summer I decided to share with you my spring favorites. I think that a lot of these are also great for summer. Enjoy. (:

MAC Lipstick in Blankety
A soft pink beige amplified creme lipstick. (As described on mac.com)

OPI-Do You Lilac It?, China Glaze-Re-fresh Mint, China Glaze-For Audrey
I've been using these A LOT--love them! I actually got the China Glaze from a website that sells them for a cheaper price. I will be doing a review on that in a future post. (:

MAC e/s in Naked Lunch
A frosty, pinky-beige shimmery eyeshadow.
I don't know what happened to the swatch. :o(

MAC blush in Melba
I use this almost every day. It's a soft coral-peach matte blush. (As described on mac.com)

Stiles Razor
I always stack up on these, they are perfect for shaping your eyebrows and if you are not happy with the shape you created don't worry! Since it is a razor your hair will grow back a lot faster. If you do like the shape of your eyebrows then you can keep them up with a good pair of tweezers.

E.L.F. Slant Tweezer
These are amazing! They work really well and are only $1! You can't go wrong.

Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave In Split End Protector
Since I bought the Long Term Relationship Shampoo and Conditioner I decided to try out the leave in split end protector...(there might have been a 3/$10 sale)...I absolutely love the way this product smells! It reminds me of a shampoo they had in an older collection, it might be the same one but with a different name. Anyway, this really does help minimize the amount of split ends I have.

Urban Decay All Nighter-Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
Review can be found in a previous post. (:

What are some of your favorites?
