MarkerPop Take Two

Hey everyone. Shanna here with part two of my guesting at MarkerPop. I am so grateful to be here sharing with you again.

So for this card I am using one of my favorite paper collections along with one of my favorite stamp companies.

I love Stamping Bella Uptown Girls! I also love Glitz Designs! So combining the two this is what I came up with!

Of course I colored my image with my favorite copic markers.... I think this maybe one of few tries (I can still count on one hand) of coloring yellow as a primary color.

I love how well the blue complimented the golden mustard yellow.

Golden Mermaid

Happy Saturday to you.....Today I thought I would share a little summery goodness with a card I made for Sweet Pea Stamps. I tell you I love all the mermaids. I swear I cannot get enough. Isn't she just sitting there so pretty. Her jewelry reminds me of something ancient and one of a kind.

Side note: did anyone watch that show on the Discovery Channel I think. They had proof of real mermaids....but the government is trying to hide it.... and apparently bodies have been reported washing up with whales during beachings..... HMMMMM.... I think I might be a little convinced they exist considering how many things in the ocean we have not discovered. I don't see why people would want to hide mermaids either.

Anyway back to crafting. I love her. I know I keep saying I have a new favorite... she is on my list for sure.

Animal Print Art Journal

I have an art journal page that I made for  Gina's Designs using some Robin's Nest Papers.

I had no idea what I was thinking when I made this.... I flipped through my art journal looking for uncompleted pages and loved the bright colors. I then thought what to do. I ripped up paper cut out some animals from the paper and then added more spray.

'

Here I used a word from the 10 Words Set and gesso'd it.

Here you can see the cut out animals.

Here is the whole page. I actually enjoyed how this turned out it is one hot mess that I believe in.

My Little Man

Hey everyone. I wanted to have this posted earlier in the week but my camera died. I forgot to get batteries Tuesday when I went grocery shopping in a hurry to get back and pick my daughter up from dance.

I have a pile of adorable photos of both my kids just waiting to get put on layouts. I seem to be loving everything else at the moment though. I thought I would hurry up and post this as I created it for Gina's Designs based on a challenge at Scrap Around the World.

Here is the inspiration from the challenge

I love my sons first photos. Sleeping babies are so adorable. Even though he was a sleep he was not as cooperative as his sister was although she was awake for her first photo shoot.

Stamp Sale!!!

My Recent Journal

CHECK OUT MY DESTASH SALE!!!

Good Morning. Today I am sharing my last post for Sin City Stamps. I am really sad that I didn't make the cut to stay but hey one door closes and another opens is the saying. I am thankful to have been picked for my creativeness for some other teams and thought it only befitting to share my project I made for the tryout again. I really enjoyed how I made this and plan on making more to come!

First I cut 2 pieces of chipboard into a 3.25"x6.25"
I created mats for both cutting my cardstock at 4.25 x 7.25".
I cut the edges off leaving an 1/8" of an inch to make sure the edge fold nicely.
I inked the paper with Tea Dye and Rusty Hinge.
I used some Sparkle N Sprinkle Gold Detail Embossing Powder on my stamp and cut it out!
I used some Distress Paint on paper and stamped my image and fussy cut that out too.
Then I used more colors of ink and my stamps to stamp all over the paper. I also added my cut outs to the cover.

Stamps Used:

Thanks so much Sin City Stamps for 6 months of fun!!!!
