Most of the existing crypto drivers cannot operate effectively over the multi-core systems, resulting in high synchronization overheads. Moreover, the crypto drivers under utilize the full capacity of the hardware device underneath, resulting in low IPsec throughput. This paper discusses a design methodology that virtualizes the access to the common crypto accelerators across the multiple cores and leverages the existing feature of Linux to design a more balanced system. The new design can utilize the hardware capabilities in a better and efficient way to improve the overall crypto performance on multi-core systems. I.

Cross Site Scripting (XSS) attacks are most common vulnerability issues in the digital era for the Web applications. These attacks occur, when an attacker uses a web application to send malicious code in the form of client side script. These scripts exploit the vulnerabilities in the code and resulting in a serious consequence like theft of cookies, passwords and any confidential user data. In extreme cases, the user may have lost his/her control on the browser. In this paper, we explained detection, and prevention of Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability attacks through a systematic review process.

Recently there has been tremendous change in use of the forecasting techniques due to the increase in availability of the power generation systems and the consumption of the electricity by different utilities. In the field of power generation and consumption it is important to have the accurate forecasting model to avoid the different losses. With the current development in the era of smart grids, it integrates electric power generation, demand and the storage, which requires more accurate and precise demand and generation forecasting techniques. This paper relates the most relevant studies on electric power demand forecasting, and presents the different models. This paper proposes a novel approach using machine learning for electric power demand forecasting.

Abstract: Financial forecasting plays a prominent role in finance market because of its commercial applications with respect to high stakes and attractive gains that it provides. The purpose of the study is to develop a new analytical ANN based model for predicting the FER and compare proposed model efficiency with the existing technique. Model was proposed to predict the euro to dollar exchange, pound to dollar exchange and rupee to dollar exchange. It was noticed that outcomes of proposed model performs better and faster to evaluate the FER. There was a slight difference found between real ER and predicted ER. Future work would be carried out to enhance the study area by emerging a new analytical model by adopting ANN along with any other appropriate analytical model or other NN model.

Hence the performance of CPU is mainly dependent on the optimum multiplier design. The advanced devices like finFET, CNTFETs and GNRFETs promise better solution. GNRFET based designs are considered as a promising technology and guarantee the improved performance in terms of power dissipation, figure of merit, noise margin and area. 8-bit array multiplier and modified Booth multipliers are implemented using GNRFET based technologies in the proposed work. Obtained results are compared with CMOS based multiplier designs. The results infer that GNRFET based modified Booth multiplier offers better performance than CMOS based multiplier designs.

Pump as Turbine (PAT) provides a cost-effective alternative to conventional hydro turbines for high terrain rural areas where grid supply is not feasible. PAT technology is simple, low in cost and easy to harness. End suction centrifugal pumps are readily available as compared to conventional custom made hydro turbines. This paper presents theoretical, numerical and experimental study of radial discharge centrifugal pump in hydro turbine mode. Experimental setup is used to investigate performance of radial discharge end suction mono block centrifugal pump in pump and turbine mode and the results are compared with theoretical and numerical results. Performance characteristic of mono block pump of specific speed 20.28 (m, m 3 /s) in turbine mode operation are determined through experiment. The experiment results reveal suitability of using a mono block centrifugal pump in hydro turbine mode. The results confirm that the pump in hydro turbine mode operate at higher heads and discharge as compared to the pump mode operation. BEP (best efficiency point) for the pump in hydro turbine mode is lower than in pump mode operation. Correlations proposed by earlier researchers for performance prediction of pump in hydro turbine mode are also tested.

Aerodynamic methods used in the early stages of conceptual design are necessarily simple for the sake of speed and convenience. They may also involve simplifying assumptions with a significant impact on their accuracy. This may result in unrealistic levels of performance being estimated at an early stage in a design, with consequent risk later in a program. The work described here demonstrates a novel approach for estimating the aerodynamic characteristics of both simple swept-tapered and cranked wings. This approach combines analysis methods with optimal Design of Experiments to generate simple algebraic functions, or response surface models, representing the outputs of a series of more detailed analyses. Proof of concept for the response surface model technique, and subsequently, optimal Design of Experiments is demonstrated for simple swept-tapered wings. The response surface modelling approach is subsequently demonstrated for wing planforms with up to four cranks. Application of the technique to cranked wings has required the development of an optimal Design of Experiments method capable of handling non-linear constraints and larger sample sets. Construction of the response surface models required the automation of geometry and analysis tools to cope with large numbers of sample configurations for each problem. The resulting response surface models have been implemented in conceptual design tools and spreadsheet-based performance methods, where they have replaced 'equivalent' swept-tapered wing approximations, with their associated inaccuracies. This paper shows a quantitative assessment of the impact of these approximations on prediction of lift curve slope and aerodynamic centre prediction at subsonic conditions. Comparisons against experimental measurements for cranked wings are included.

Hydro power is the cheapest and clean renewable energy source. The electricity generated at large hydro power projects is transmitted through the grid system. The high terrain remote villages where grid supply is not feasible due to economical reasons remain deprived of electricity. Machinability aspect is of considerable importance for efficient process planning in manufacturing. In this paper, graph theoretic approach (GTA) is proposed to evaluate the cutting force during CNC milling. Cutting force is considered as a machinability attribute during CNC milling to evaluate the effect of several factors and their subfactors. Factors affectin g the cutting force and their interactions are analyzed by developing a mathematical model using digraph and matrix method. Permanent function or machinability index is obtained from the matrix model developed from the digraphs. This index value helps in quantifying the influence of considered factors on cutting force. In the present illustration, factors affecting cutting force during CNC milling are grouped into five broad factors namely work material, machine tool, cutter runout, penetration strategies, and tool geometry to be machined. GTA methodology reveals that the machine tool has highest index value. Therefore, it is the most influencing factor affecting cutting force.

Forecasting is major factor and most promising activity in the financial market. The purpose of the research is to review various techniques adopted for forecasting the exchange rate. This study has reviewed the various models and techniques to predict financial market by taking into consideration the models namely artificial neural network, particle swarm optimization, genetic programming and fuzzy logic. From the systematic prior literature review, it was clear that, ANN performs well in predictive ability and provides result faster than other models.

Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) are networks which are targeted towards design of healthcare communication interfaces with low latency and high security. In order to design such interfaces, efficient models for data encryption, hashing, privacy, and quality of service (QoS) awareness are needed. A wide variety of standard medical interfaces are proposed by researchers, which assist in reducing network redundancies for high-throughput and low latency communications. These interfaces also implement security models that ensure data encryption & privacy. But due to incorporation of encryption methods, QoS performance of the IoMT devices reduces, which limits their real-time usability for in-patient monitoring & treatment. In order to improve IoMT QoS while maintaining high security, this text proposes design of QSIH, which is a QoSaware sidechain model that can be used for securing IoMT networks. The proposed model describes design of a blockchainbased data storage & communication interface, which is capable of removing a wide variety of network attacks. The delay needed for communication in any blockchain-based interface increases exponentially w.r.t. number of blocks added to the system. In order to reduce this delay, a novel machine learning model based on Genetic Algorithm optimization is proposed. The proposed model splits the main blockchain into multiple shards in a QoSaware manner, thereby ensuring low delay, and high communication throughput. The shards (or sidechains) are managed using an interactive Q-Learning (IQL), which is able to expand or contract these chains depending upon network's QoS performance. Sidechains which are unused for large periods of time are combined together, and archived for future reference. The archived sidechains are formed from main blockchain, and are merged with other sidechains depending upon archival requirements of the network. Due to such a dynamic side chaining model, the proposed QSIH model is capable of reducing network communication delay by 18%, increase throughput by 14%, reduce storage cost by 5%, while maintaining high level of security & privacy in the network. The model was tested under different IoMT scenarios, and it was observed that it showcased consistent performance across different network emulations.

In this study, the best efficiency point of end suction, radial discharge, centrifugal pump operated in turbine mode was arrived applying numerical and experimental analysis. The pump was simulated both in direct and turbine modes using Star CCM+ CFD software. Characteristic curves were developed for the pump in direct and turbine modes. A monoblock centrifugal pump of specific speed 35.89 (m, m 3 /s) was used for this study. The pump was tested experimentally in turbine and pump mode .The theoretical and numerical results were verified by those obtained through experimentation. Some of the correlations proposed by earlier researchers for performance prediction of pump in reverse mode were also tested.

Hybrid tubes of metallic material are making by combining low density composites with lower cost of metallic materials. In this paper, we studied the crushing behavior of hybrid tubes including energy absorption and also harmful effect of different three aluminum tubes under longitudinal crushing loading. As the reason of comparison single aluminum tube and single carbon fiber tubes were tested as well. Depends on experimental details the effect of different composition were studied and it was found that hybrid H-1 that is aluminum tube internally filled with carbon fiber it is wrapped with E-epoxy and hardener with four layers gives good outcome.
